Someone at work has ordered dominoes pizza for lunch and left the 2 boxes (still full of pizza) on the side in the kitchen.... I want it so much and my sandwich is making me feel sick, it's so so cruel Wink Envy

CinnamonTwist · 27/09/2016 14:13

I didn't mean to sound heartless after the talk about disabilities below btw Blush sorry if it came across like that! I was just feeling sick and sorry for myself eating my sandwiches and smelling someone else's amazing pizza, and I can't moan to anyone IRL

hanflan · 27/09/2016 14:16

Haha not at all cinnamon! I really really want a domino's now though haha

Hi all, Sorry I've not posted much, I'm still a bit in shock I'm pregnant, after not having an appetite for the last 6 weeks. I could actually eat a dominoes too right now.

lullaby23 · 27/09/2016 14:41

hanflan can't seem to send attachments by pm so posting here, can only do 3 per post apologies in advance!

Haha sorry for sharing the pain! It bizarrely made me crave KFC and/or nice fish-and-chip-shop fat chips, something to do with the smell of it... which is all through the office Sad I am imagining locking him out and eating all his pizza which I think would be a perfectly reasonable response to confronting a pregnant woman with pizza she can't have Grin it's certainly no excuse that no one here knows yet

Ghostonthedancefloor · 27/09/2016 14:51

I'm so glad I've come on and read how many of you have popped and are rocking a bump already. Today now I really feel as if it's obvious, and also it's firm not flabbly, and round. I needed new work trousers so I might aswell get maternity ones now! Any recommendations??

I'll re add myself to the list now. Can't believe we're on thread 2 already! I came off Facebook about a year ago. I'm really tempted to go back on to be in the group! Anyone else not on FB?

lullaby you are a star, thank you so much!

ICuntSeeYourPoint · 27/09/2016 15:27

hanflan Sorry, that's really difficult, I didn't mean to patronise. Just when I see someone thinking about amnio and only having heard one side about it being so low risk, I can't help thinking of my friend before she had it and afterwards how she was, and just trying to balance the story from the other side. Obviously any decision you make personally is a valid one, and absolutely no judgement from me on that, I just hate to think of someone going into it like my friend did almost convinced that "low risk/1 in 100" = "no risk", because it's not, not for that 1 in every 100, iyswim. Anyway, I'll shut up about it now! x

I'm feeling loads better today...I'm pleased and I do remember my symptoms coming and going (plus midwife saying its normal) but I can't help but get that little nervous feeling! Thankfully got my private scan on Sunday and I'll know whatever the outcome is!

Badgerbird · 27/09/2016 15:53

Adventure and Sonnet so sorry you've both been through that too. I've had 2 MMC in the last year (no kids yet) so we are fingers crossed for 3rd time lucky! I know what you mean about early scans, I want one but I'm scared.... I just keep saying to myself "most people who get pregnant have a healthy baby." And try to enjoy this pregnancy as much as poss. As you say, one day at a time and it's nice having this community here Smile

aaaaaargh · 27/09/2016 15:55

anneloves tried to reply on other thread but was full, no this is my 3rd and think that's why I'm showing sooner, wearing lots of baggy clothes to hide it till we're ready to tell xx

Sonnet18 · 27/09/2016 16:17

Oh sorry badger I hadn't read your previous post. Two is awful. There's something so sad about the not knowing and showing up at a scan only to get bad news.
I got an early scan last year and seeing the baby at 8weeks with a heartbeat really eased my worry. I remained quite detached until that scan and I think that helped me as well.
Fingers crossed this is your baby and this one goes smoothly for you.

JulyLady7 · 27/09/2016 16:37

Hi All,

Can I join please?!

#1 EDD 21.05.2017.

This is the first pregnancy after a MC @ 7 weeks in April this year. For that one, I had early scans due to some pain but they were reassuring at the time, but it obviously wasn't meant to be. That's why this time, I'm not going for any early scans and hopefully won't be needing to visit EPU. I'm 6 + 2 and got the date through for my dating scan which is on the 10th November - feels like an age away and because of last time, I find it hard to imagine still being pregnant then Sad. Trying to keep a positive outlook though and keep talking myself out of that kind of thinking!
Looking forward to talking on here as DH and I are keeping it to ourselves until 12 week scan. Hoping for happy and healthy pregnancies for everyone! x

AnneLovesGilbert · 27/09/2016 16:49

Hey July! How lovely to see you here. Pop yourself on the list Smile

This is a lovely bunch of people.

I think a lot of people can empathise with what you're saying. Have you got a phrase you can say to yourself when you're panicking?

It sounds quite embarrassing but "I trust my body to grow a healthy baby" has been working for me. Blush Repeat like a mantra!

When's your booking in appointment? Got mine next week.
