They just checked me over diva Couldn't do a trace or anything because I was under 20 weeks (although was 19+5) they felt my tummy and said all felt ok and sent me home. Gave me slight peace of mind though plus they might do a trace for you xx

divadee · 03/10/2016 20:32

Was that for the same thing as me shell? The feeling of pressure and fullness? I wondered if they will do an internal.

kikisdelivery · 03/10/2016 22:22

Hello ladies, from Spain! Blimey it's hot here - though not at this time of night!

Just wanted to check in and catch up quickly. Glad to hear scans are still going well and Diva hope all is well with you later. Definitely best to get these things checked Smile

I'm trying my best not to overdo it or do too much here; it's difficult with lots of touristy walking round and so on. I've definitely been hunting out the shade and drinking all the water! I'm familiar with the loos in every place we have been to so far!

Shellbell0403 · 03/10/2016 22:33

diva yeah I had that feeling! Feeling of heaviness aswell but all was fine. They said because it's all growing and moving etc! Keep us posted!!

kiki hope your having a fab time

divadee · 03/10/2016 22:42

I updated on Facebook but will update you on here.

With a red face they think it's cos I'm constipated and need a poo. After the midwife called the on call registrar and his SHO to have a look and do an internal with speculum and by hand they think it's cos I need a poo Blush

They were lovely and reassuring and said cervix is long and closed but you could tell they were trying not to laugh when me and himself were laughing at me needing a poo.

A ton of mangos tomorrow for me!!

wizbet80 · 04/10/2016 06:54

Is anyone else having pains in their upper abdomen? I fell down some stairs on Sunday morning and hurt my bum a lot. I can still feel baby wriggling but I've got really sore at the top of my bump and was wondering if it is round ligament pain or whether I need to get checked

ScottishSnowflake · 04/10/2016 07:12

Hi diva, glad to hear all is ok! You did the right thing by getting checked out and I know the doctors have seen/ heard it all. Glad your little one is fine Smile

Wizbet, I only get a stitch like feeling on my right hand side just by my hip. I think it's far better to give the midwife a call and see what she thinks. Hopefully it's just a pulled ligament Smile

Evergreen17 · 04/10/2016 10:54

Scottish, wispa and friendly you were right! Nurses rock! Mad at the receptionist though, she was so adamant that I couldnt and she laughed at the idea. Envy. I just told the nurse I wanted the flu as well as she said she already had it out for me SmileSmile so one in each arm
London I know how you feel. It took me so long to land my job and now they are hiring people with 0 experience and bad attitude Sad
Wonder good news about scan and sorry you have to go back but you will see bubba again Smile
Sleepy a boy like me!
Diva Good that you called and got answers. Goes to show that if worried we can call them Smile good luck with the mangoes
Wizbet if worried get it checked, diva did and it feels a lot better.
I dont have pain. I sometimes feel like pressure that comes and goes, like contractions

Evergreen17 · 04/10/2016 11:02

OMG soooooorry!!! I dont know what that happened Sad

Shellbell0403 · 04/10/2016 11:24

I'm sorry that I'm writing this but so upset and built up! Another girl in my work has lost her baby also....

neonrainbow · 04/10/2016 11:40

I'm late to the party but can i join in? I've been on the march thread but feel like i should join this one too as my due date is 26th Feb in carrying twins so I'll be delivering more like 12th Feb :) its my first pregnancy so a bit overwhelming if i let myself think about the fact I'm having two babies!

ScottishSnowflake · 04/10/2016 12:18

Oh Shell, am so sorry for your colleague. Please try not to worry for your little one at present. If you're in any way concerned, call the midwife, am sure that they'll have people you can speak to maybe for reassurance. What terrible news. Stay strong and we're all here for you x

Hi Neon and welcome!

Evergreen, yay for the jabs and a big Grin for all the posts Grin

FriendlyGhost · 04/10/2016 12:26

Welcome neon. Twins will be amazing!
So sorry to hear that Shell.
Evergreen Grin
I'm struggling today after a night of dd vomiting. I managed about two hours sleep on her floor and now ache all over. We're supposed to be going on holiday tomorrow so I hope I don't get it!

MarjorySunshineDust · 04/10/2016 12:45

Sorry to hear that Shell it's really upsetting.

Welcome neon! Twins, how lovely Smile

I was worried this morning as haven't felt much movement the last couple of days. I think she must have shifted position because I've just felt some kicks/ punches a lot lower than usual. Was worrying because I was at work Sunday evening and really overdid it and ended up feeling like I was going to pass out! Everything seems ok now but I will definitely make sure I take it a bit easier next time I'm at work. Luckily not very often as I just cover sickness/holiday.

Shellbell0403 · 04/10/2016 13:38

Thanks ladies.. just so upsetting that happened to both girls in my department within a week of each other!! Both full term aswell. Trying not to panic and stay calm xx

LondonGirl83 · 04/10/2016 14:23

Shell that's extraordinary that two people in the same department would have that happen. I'm assuming you work a normal desk job rather than anything strenuous or dangerous. My sympathies to everyone and I hope it doesn't cause you to worry too much.

neon welcome and congratulations on the twins! That's really exciting. At times, given how stressful pregnancy is I think it would be nice to have two in one shot and be done (we are only planning two if we are lucky enough). Do you have much family support nearby?

CeeCeeEnnEss · 04/10/2016 15:04

Gosh shell, I'm so sorry, that's so heartbreaking. And as london says, absolutely extraordinary. All we can do is look out for ourselves, and watch our for any signs. Sending you hugs.

My arm is killing me from the jabs! I had both in my left arm. Mistake!

Evergreen17 · 04/10/2016 17:20

Shell that is horrible Sad I am really worried now. Why are people losing bubbas so late??? What happened to being out of the danger zone Sad
What can we do? Sad

Shellbell0403 · 04/10/2016 18:38

Sorry not really been on.

ever the lady today I think it was during birth as they said the baby was back to back and there was complications... It's just heartbreaking and I can't stop thinking about it! I'm trying not to worry. It's very rare and the fact it's happened to two people in my department in a week is extremely rare.. Glad I have another scan on Thurs!

If there any problems or u don't feel right just make sure u call the hospital/midwife straight away!! That's what I will be doing!

london yes it's a desk job... can be stressful at times but I'm going to not let it get to me either and going to start yoga etc!

PianoOnlyTheWhiteKeys · 04/10/2016 18:50

Hi all,

Sorry to hear the news shell the odds of that happening in the same office must be microscopic, how awful for all concerned.

can I ask a quick question as the weeks are ticking by? Have you all got your MAtB1 forms (or whatever they're called) for work? I'm still without one and not sure where to get it from as thought it would be mentioned at appointment or scan. 25 weeks is fast approaching...

ScottishSnowflake · 04/10/2016 18:53

Hi Piano, midwife said they could only be done after completion of your 20th week (so anytime when you're 21 weeks or more). I've had to ring my surgery and they've put a note on file asking my midwife to complete the form now I'm past that point. May be worth ringing your midwife/ surgery and see what their policy is?
