Hope everything is ok evergreen I'm sure it will be, he will just be comfy 😀

So Iv just had one of my petrified and scared moments of labour and after birth and thinking bubba can just stay there!!

Evergreen17 · 13/10/2016 18:15

Thank you!!!
It is all good! Heard the bubba and he hasnt stopped moving since. Midwife was lovely. She said she prefers that we go than just to worry at home Smile

ScottishSnowflake · 13/10/2016 18:17

Wonderful news Evergreen! Smile so glad everything is ok Smile

Evergreen17 · 13/10/2016 18:30

I might have cried a bit when she said it was all good Hmm

kikisdelivery · 13/10/2016 18:44

That's allowed Ever Grin and I'm glad it's all ok Smile - these bubs will do their own thing and freak us out!! x

SBSparkles · 13/10/2016 19:31

Shell try hypnobirthing if you are feeling nervous! Wink

LondonGirl83 · 13/10/2016 20:02

Ever glad everything is okay! I'm not sure I'm feeling regular movement yet (I'm 22 weeks) but I do feel her multiple times a day so I'd have panicked as well if I felt nothing for 24 hours.

All this talk on the news of the supermarket price increases is making me think I've got to panic buy my new baby stuff asap. I think I'll make a final list of things for the baby expo next weekend and take advantage of any discounts they have to get all the major stuff done then and there.

Had a better day at work today and have a photoshop course booked for tomorrow so have a day off. Its all part of my fantasy daydream of becoming an interiors photographer and quitting my job in finance :) We are then off the Devon for the weekend.

Anyone have anything fun planned for this weekend?

kikisdelivery · 13/10/2016 20:54

London we have a friend visiting from Dublin. He used to live over here but moved to get married, which is a fair reason! He's staying with us and he, my OH and other mates will be getting very messy at a weekend beer festival here...uh oh! I'll still go along and see how long I last before tiring of drunk folk/tiring in general! It'll be nice to see him and our other mates - with being away on hols and so on recently I feel like I haven't seen them for weeks.

Evergreen17 · 13/10/2016 21:02

Plans for this weekend are to go to an NCT nearly new sale Smile
And to drive to the place where I will take my next driving test. Instructor thinks a different test centre will do me good and I agree.
Maybe one day I will pass Sad

SBSparkles · 13/10/2016 21:16

Evergreen I'm learning too! Only just started so need to get on it!! If I'm well enough am meeting friends for coffee and going to an aloe Vera sales morning! And driving lesson! Smile

kikisdelivery · 13/10/2016 21:59

Good luck on the driving lessons Ever and Sparkles! It's a pain but so worth it. I didn't bother until I was in my late 20s, but eventually passed and am glad I managed to do it! You'll both do it too!

PianoOnlyTheWhiteKeys · 13/10/2016 23:09

Glad to hear all is well ever. The movements are strange, I go for hours at work without feeling a thing and kind of forget I'm pregnant, but then a short boot reminds me!

On the NCT sale, definitely worth getting there a bit early, even for members. I'm not sure where you live but there were dozens of people queuing at the one I went to on Sunday. We got some good stuff though, picked up a floor gym thing we'd seen in John L for £8, a mamas and papas mobile for £3, a bouncy vibrating seat for about £10, Moby sling for £6 and best of all a silver cross travel system for £45! Just have to buy the car seat part but hope to find the isofix base second hand too. We didn't bother with the clothes or toys as nothing gender neutral but other stuff v worth getting! Have saved a fortune! We also decided we're going to rent a bed nest for £89 rather than buying and having another bit of furniture, then can hopefully splash out on a cot.

Oh and on sleepyheads, I think they're a big thing in Europe, there are loads of pretty ones on Etsy for about £35 and I'm sure they have the same safety properties as the branded one. I searched baby nest.

Still looking forward to the baby show next wknd, still loads of other things to get...

PianoOnlyTheWhiteKeys · 13/10/2016 23:11

Oh and it's a yes to the itchy underboobs here too! So annoying, I literally can't wait to rip bra off! I'm getting it with both wired and maternity bras and always in the same place so don't think it's an allergy, need to sort it though, can't keep wrenching around under my bra in the office!

CeeCeeEnnEss · 14/10/2016 07:51

Glad you're ok ever, I also cried with relief when the midwife said my bump was fine last week after a couple of days of stillness. And then of course she started having a party straight away so I felt totally neurotic!!!

Also concerned about price hikes London, think we're just going to bite the bullet and buy what we need this weekend and then job's a good'un.

Evergreen17 · 14/10/2016 08:12

Ahh sparkles good luck to us. I am pretty useless, have been paying for driving lessons for a year and taken 2 tests. I dont earn a lot so my salary is going to commuting and lessons Sad
Kikis I am a lot older than that Sad
Oh no piano! DH hates queues Confused he wont welcome that suggestion...
We have lots of clothes already. I am looking for a baby carrier (we wont use pram) and maybe maternity stuff for me if they have any Hmm
We are borrowing a cot from friends so not much to buy. But we are doing some works in the house. I told DH we should get them done asap but he takes his time with things...
Ceecee my bubba has been kicking non stop since. I think I really worried DH too and got a bit dramatic Confused
He was lovely though.

kikisdelivery · 14/10/2016 08:43

Awww Ever, don't put yourself down! You'll pass, even if it takes a wee while longer! I think overall it took me about 2 years worth of lessons because I kept running out of money/dipping in and out - and I failed first time. One of my friends passed at 43, so no one's ever too old Smile - it's just expensive though, I know what you mean.

I got the biggest bargain ever yesterday through my local Baby Stuff second hand group. Three bin bags of boys clothes for £30!! I haven't been through them yet but the woman selling said some were unworn and they just needed to clear out for the space. All from newborn to 12 months! I need a chest of drawers, stat!!

SBSparkles · 14/10/2016 09:07

With regards to movements, you aren't expected to feel them regularly until 28 weeks. When I was around 21/22 weeks I went days without feeling anything. To be fair even last week I wasn't feeling much. I think it's cause I was shouting at my class a lot and baby was probably scared!
Ever positive thinking is the best way to ensure a pass. My new instructor is installing me with confidence as I'm a nervous driver due to my last instructor pushing me way past what I was comfortable with and also my history of crashing a motorbike in Cambodia (don't ask!!) I'm 36 so have left it quite late compared to others but hey so what!?! I say we older women are wiser!!! Wink

LondonGirl83 · 14/10/2016 13:31

SBS and Ever I don't know how to drive either (33) and was planning to learn but my DH says I won't have time to before the baby arrives. I'm going to call some schools this weekend but I might have to use a weeks holiday and do an intensive course which I really don't want to do as I need my holiday entitlement!

Looks like we'll need a new thread by the end of today! Have lovely weekend ladies :)

gumbootsandjandals · 14/10/2016 13:50

If anyone's worried about the wc and flu jabs, I had both yesterday with no ill effects. I don't know if they changed the wc one in the last 2 years because it's not making my arm ache nearly as much as they first two times I had it.

SBSparkles · 14/10/2016 13:54

London ive only just started learning again and I'm doing double lessons at the weekend and maybe some in the week too. I really want to learn before baby comes - or at least be test ready! After baby will be really hard and tiring!!!

Shellbell0403 · 14/10/2016 15:10

Think I'm starting to feel more movement 😍

Keepingupwiththejonesys · 14/10/2016 16:22

Evergreen17 · 14/10/2016 18:06

Thanks Kiki I think I will run out of money soon though. Sparkles I dont think I am wiser Sad I have a good instructor but I cant deal with the test...
London I agree that it takes a while... It would be so nice to have the license when bubba is here Sad
Keeping up that is a nice bump Smile
This is mine at 22

FriendlyGhost · 14/10/2016 19:42

Lovely bumps! This is my monster!
