Welcome crumble.

MumiTravels · 15/10/2016 13:03

Hello Crumble!
May your cuboards forever be empty Grin
Hope you're feeling well.

I'm still here. Worked 3 thirteen hour shifts and now away for a birthday party this weekend. Can't get my boobs in anything. Currently gutting my wardrobe trying to find something that fits.

marmitecheesetoast · 15/10/2016 13:32

Hi crumble!

Well the Asos maternity leggings are ace, thanks for the recommendation sarah I love them they are really thick and good quality too!
DottyPs over bump skinny jeans seem pretty good too. The over bump bit currently comes up to my boobs but I guess when there's more bump expansion it won't come quite so high Grin
Hope you find something to wear Mumi it's a nightmare this in between phase!

everdene · 15/10/2016 15:48

Welcome crumble!

finova · 15/10/2016 21:48

Hi to the new people!
It's quiet on here today.
Is anyone else getting a maternity coat. I need a new winter coat but can't decide whether to make do, and get a maternity coat later on....but maybe it's best to get one now?? Can't remember when my normal one will be too tight- mid 20s?

Bellatrixandstrange · 16/10/2016 05:31

When does the insomnia end?

everdene · 16/10/2016 08:23

I will see how cold I get but am going to try to limp through without a maternity coat - I have a couple of wide shawls and I thought those, tucked inside, would probably limp me through because I drive to work and probably won't have many chilly waits anywhere.

It'll be all about layering here!

SharkBastard · 16/10/2016 08:29

Bellatrix...I wish I knew! The insomnia is HORRIBLE!!!! I was up 3 times last night, barely any sleep and got the family round today Sad

Gonna be a long slog and I'm going to want to nap hard

MyGreenSofa · 16/10/2016 08:35

I'll probably try and get through without a maternity coat too, but may have to give in, will see how it goes! I suppose there's no reason you couldn't still wear a maternity coat afterwards, I haven't looked at any but bet they are pricey!

Sympathies to those with insomnia! I'm waking up several times a night due to the bloody dreams. Anyone else?

Bubbinsmakesthree · 16/10/2016 08:51

I think the 2nd trimester might have been better for insomnia last time but the 3rd was definitely bad - I did most of my baby shopping on eBay at 3am!

I've ordered a maternity coat from ASOS - arriving today so will see how it looks. If it's nice and will see me through the whole of winter (so doesn't need a giant bump to fill it out) then will keep it!

Supposed to be going on weekend away with friends next weekend. First trip away since DS arrived and was really looking forward to it. Now will probably need to cancel - it's outdoorsy/hiking. I've been hoping that the glorious, energetic 2nd tri feeling with have kicked in by now but I am still exhausted and throwing up.

RaRa25 · 16/10/2016 08:51

Hi to all the newbies.
Not going to get a maternity coat but might pick a larger style Parker coat up from a supermarket if it gets to cold and when my coat no longer zips up!
I'm going to Iceland for the weekend at the end of November so might have to get something then.

RaRa25 · 16/10/2016 08:52

too not to!

finova · 16/10/2016 08:56

Morning (yawn), awake loads here too, have that slightly dizzy/sick tired feeling. At least we are having bacon sandwiches for breakfast!

jpeg28 · 16/10/2016 08:58

So much to catch up on!

Welcome to everyone that is new!

I have this massive pregnancy pillow that takes up so much room! I do love it but I'm also finding myself wanting to sleep on my back mainly as I have a trapped nerve on my right hip and it's so painful on my side!!

I've ordered some maternity stuff on eBay so going to see how that goes but I'm starting to get desperate now! Not getting a maternity coat if I can help it, I have quite a big sort of swing coat anyway so that should fit the bump in!

I feel for all the insomniacs! I seem to be in a pattern where I wake at 4am no matter what time I've gone to bed and then I just can't get back to sleep. It's so annoying! And the dreams are so real!!

I'm off away with friends next weekend too, going to Copenhagen and they will all be very very boozy all the time I just know it! I'll just have to be the sensible sober one!

JennyOfOldstones · 16/10/2016 10:32

I wore one of DP's coats last time! It wasn't very smart though. Ordered some black trousers from debenhams but they are enormous so will be sending them back. Will try Dorothy P or Asos next.

marmitecheesetoast · 16/10/2016 11:01

Ive been wondering about a coat too. Think I'll wait and see how cold it gets this winter, if not too bad I'll just wear my coat open with a big scarf for as long as I can! I get public transport to work though so can involve a bit of hanging around outside. Also I want to actually look pregnant in the hope I cam start getting a seat on the bus on the way home from work Hmm

Celen · 16/10/2016 11:21

In my pregnancy with ds, I was due in October so completely different seasons to pregnancy now. I did find, however, that I suffered from ridiculous extreme heat from 22 weeks so if that happens this time, I won't be needing a coat Smile

I do have an ultra big thick poncho that my mum knitted me a few years which will work brilliantly with a big fat bump Grin

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup · 16/10/2016 11:28

Hi everyone!! I'm due #4 on 22nd April Smile had a scan on Wednesday and they moved the due date closer by 5 days which is weird as could tell you the time never mind the date of conception!!!!

SharkBastard · 16/10/2016 12:55

Hi Waitrose, I'm the same, they moved my date by 6 days and I can tell you the day I conceived, and probably a time actually come to think about it (we were on a romantic break in the Cotswolds haha). I have organised scans and visits as per my date as I know I'm right

Strubo · 16/10/2016 12:58

I managed to annoy my husband so much he agreed to a gender scan today!! We go at 2pm, I'm so excited!!!

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup · 16/10/2016 12:59

Shark that's interesting I'm glad it's not just me! I've decided the same. All my babies have been late and if I have the 22nd in my head rather than the 27th (which I will STILL go past I'm sure!) it will be even more of an unbearable wait!

jpeg28 · 16/10/2016 15:31

I'm the same waitrose they have put me forward two days but I know exactly when we conceived!

Hope the gender scan went well strubo! Boy or girl?!

Strubo · 16/10/2016 15:49

It's a boy!! I'm not surprised, DD is a bit disappointed, DS is delighted!

Celen · 16/10/2016 16:04

Ah lovely news Strubo Smile

sarahhh1984 · 16/10/2016 16:28

Lovely news, Strabo!

I bought an oversized cape-style coat from Next. It will accommodate a bump even when I get quite big, but I can wear it once I've given birth too.
