Thanks ladies. Will pop out to a chemist today and get a fore head stick and hope that helps. I went to bed at 8.15pm last night and managed a whole 10 hours! Feel a little better but headache still there.

sarahhh1984 · 14/10/2016 07:46

Morning ladies, can't remember who was asking about pregnancy pillows the other day but DH surprised me yesterday with a Dreamgenii pillow. Think he was getting sick of me tossing and turning trying to get comfy and keeping him awake! Wink

Anyhow, used it last night and had the best night's sleep I've had in weeks so I'd recommend it - although it's certainly not the cheapest out there.

Congratulations on the lovely scan pics yesterday, everyone!

RaRa25 · 14/10/2016 07:48

Great scans ladies.

LondonYogaSuz · 14/10/2016 08:11

Hello all - I'm a lurker Blush due end of April but just needed to pop out my cave to comment re headaches as I've always been a headache/migraine sufferer pre pregnancy.

Dissolvable aspirin and full fat cola used to work but obviously can't do the aspirin now...

So I've gone for dissolvable paracetamol, half can full fat Coke, blue forehead migraine strip (safe in preg) and two refreezable strips, one on top of shoulders/back neck one on head. Lie in dark cool room.

Of the 5 migraine/mini migraines I've had so far, has helped reduce 3 but unfortunately had to ride the other two out.

ChatEnOeuf · 14/10/2016 08:15

Lovely scans ladies, great news on the harmony results, Bubbins.

MyGreenSofa · 14/10/2016 08:48

Sympathies to those still suffering with sickness, and with headaches and migraines!

I'm feeling much more human now (so worry worry worry) but it was a good job yesterday when DD threw up her lunch (tuna pasta) all over me! And then threw up twice more. She managed to have an apple and some milk before bed and has kept that down and was fine overnight so that's good. We are both full of cold though!

We'll definitely find out if it's a pink or blue one, I think it helps bonding, especially for the father. Considering a private scan 16/17 weeks more because of the worry between 12 week scan and movement!

MyGreenSofa · 14/10/2016 17:55

Oh wow I appear to have ninja killed the thread Blush

TopKittyKat · 14/10/2016 18:08

Ha ha GreenSofa
I'll come and save you...

Who's grateful for the weekend? I'm just waiting for the train to get home and then plan on changing into my comfy PJs and sinking into the sofa. It's all rock 'n' roll in the kitty household!

RaRa25 · 14/10/2016 18:14

Lol sofa!
I'm going to watch Woman in Black tonight at the theatre, hope I will get to sleep tonight and not have nightmares!

TopKittyKat · 14/10/2016 18:26

Enjoy RaRa
Have you seen it before? It's one of my favourites...

jpeg28 · 14/10/2016 18:45

Everyone must have had very busy Fridays!! I am so so glad the weekend is here! On the train down to Devon for the weekend to tell the other halfs family about the baby so hopefully a fun exciting weekend! All I want to do is sleep though! We don't get there until 8 and then we have to have dinner and socialise... that's my bed time these days!

IAmALionTamer · 14/10/2016 19:27

I'm in bed feeling very sorry for myself. Have thrown up everything that has passed my lips today and just want to curl up and sleep. My sickness lasted until 15 weeks last time so I'm counting down the weeks until it passes. Hubby and DS doing a good job of providing cuddles though

Bubbinsmakesthree · 14/10/2016 20:08

Oh please let us all be done with this first trimester soon! I've at least managed to eat a few things today and keep them down but I am utterly exhausted despite having been at home and having done minimal work, and now the nausea is back.

Was actually feeling hungry today so went to scour the fridge, and found:

Some chorizo
A pack of Spanish ham
Brie
pâté

This is what happens when DH does the shopping Envy

IAmALionTamer · 14/10/2016 21:09

Bubbins that sounds like torture!

Poetschild · 14/10/2016 21:36

Hello all!
I hope you don't mind me joining. I've been following your posts since day one but due to a miscarriage last year, just didn't want to post until we had a scan. We had a scan today (15w6) and everything is looking ok.

We're Scottish but moved to Atlanta, Georgia in August as my husband got a job here for a couple of years. I'm not allowed to work so DD (2 years old) and I pass our days pottering about. It took us a while to sort out a car and figure out how health insurance works over here so it has been a bit of a nerve wracking wait for the scan.

Hayls17 · 14/10/2016 23:00

So, first night with the pregnancy pillow tonight... I didn't realise how big it is! I'm sure DP will be cursing when he comes to bed and sees me and pillow take up at least 3/4 of the space!

Celen · 15/10/2016 07:37

Your rest is more important than his Hayls - time for him to enjoy the spare bedroom Wink

Celen · 15/10/2016 07:42

God I hate hate hate the time between 12 week scan and getting movements. MCs and MMCs sure do take the shine off pregnancy that's for sure Sad

I'm 16 weeks and think I've felt something but nothing definitive, could have been gas or just digestive system. Haven't got round to booking a private gender scan as so busy with other things, plus can't afford it at the moment.

Going to have to wait it out til Thursday for my MW appt when hopefully the MW will find the heartbeat and be able to reassure me - at least I hope that's what will happen.

sarahhh1984 · 15/10/2016 08:02

Hope he didn't mind the pregnancy pillow, Hayls! My DH seems to quite like mine - he was snuggling up to it himself when I woke up this morning and I think he's just relieved it's stopped me tossing and turning!

marmitecheesetoast · 15/10/2016 09:08

Ooh it was me sarah that's exciting what a lovely thoughtful surprise from your DH! Glad you got a better sleep! I definitely need to get one as everytime I wake up im lying on my back which I can't do for much longer. It's funny though as I was never a back sleeper before! I read that one encourages you to sleep on your left side but does it work sleeping on your right side too?

How did you get on with yours Hayls? What kind did you get?

We are out shopping today so may see I can have a look at some!

Niks and others with headaches it's rubbish. I am on day 6 of headache but it's definitely eased today. It's miserable though. I've been loath even to take paracetamol but I did yesterday which at least took the edge off. Are headaches common at this stage of pregnancy I wonder?

Welcome poetschild and londonyoga

I got a rather large Dorothy Perkins (and another Asos) delivery yesterday after your tip off Celen Blush need to try it all on still!

We went out for dinner for our anniversary last night and I finally 'outed' the bump and wore a bodycon style dress that really flaunted it, was a bit worried people would just think I'd eaten too much pasta Grin but quite liked it once I got used to the idea!

Hayls17 · 15/10/2016 10:23

marmite i only got a £10 from Aldi, it does the trick though! I usually sleep on my tummy so it stopped me rolling over and kept me on my left hand side. I did wake up once though and I'd kicked it onto the floor and both cats were asleep on it, they were less than impressed when I wrestled it back off them!

Celen · 15/10/2016 10:29

Grin Hayls my cats would do that too!

marmitecheesetoast · 15/10/2016 10:48

Ha! My cats also!!

sarahhh1984 · 15/10/2016 11:09

Marmite, yeah you could just flip it over I guess to sleep on your right side - should work just the same. I've always been a front or back sleeper so trying to sleep on my side has been painful - the pillow has really helped!

Going to pick up a spare cover for it so I can still use it while the current one is in the wash. Smile

crumblequeen · 15/10/2016 11:32

Hi all, can I join you? Due 21 April, 13 weeks today. Had scan this week. Still not managed to tell work, must put that on my to do list-there are already babies due Jan, Feb and March! This is DC3 for me but first together for DP and I. Have two boys aged 8 and 5 and DP has a 13 yr old boy who lives with us. So it's going to be a full house Shock
