Behold, the wonder of birth! Members from 6 weeks bfp to post-partum wonder Mamas! No question to grotty or minging.

We've come full circle from obsessing about cervical mucus to now obsessing if it's our vagina baby plug going! What larks!

Lots of talk about poo, ours and now babies too! Baby brain is REAL! This heat can kiss my arse. And who KNEW being so neurotic about which changing mat to buy could be so satisfying and addictive!

Sooo many gorgeous babies now! And equally lovely Mummy's! We are amazing! What a year! Can you believe it's been a year since our first tentative TTC thread!? Look how far we've come!

Roll up, literally, in my case, cause I'm practically rotund! for TTC #1 Grads!

Thanks so much girls! He has to stay in at least two days while they wait for blood and urine cultures but all initial tests came back fine including lumber puncture for meningitis. All they have to go on at the moment is one high temperature and a positive urine sample.

He has had two good feeds with no screaming in pain afterwards and is now fast asleep in his sleepyhead inside the giant hospital cotbed. Worst part at the mo is that OH has to go between 10-6 as only one person can stay in babies room and as he was up all night last two nights he has gone home. I feel like I could throw up with stress - on the plus side if I do puke its an ensuite room and I have an actual bed for the night!

Hope everyone else has had a nice day with their babies/bumps!

IrregularCommentary · 19/09/2016 02:41

Nev you poor thing. Agree with everyone else that they're always super cautious with babies and it doesn't mean there's anything to really worry about. Sorry you're going through this though, I'd be out of my mind as well xx

Nevlet · 19/09/2016 05:44

Thanks irregular. He has been brilliant overnight sleeping peacefully apart from waking up starving for feeds which he is so keen for he guzzled the one just now so enthusiastically that some of it ended back up right in the middle of my bed from a good over the shoulder burp. All overnight obs have been spot on too hoping the 6am ones are equally as good!

Feefeefs · 19/09/2016 08:14

Hope you both get home soon nev. That's a bit scary about the door kicking potato hope that's the end of it now.

Awake last night in the middle of the night with diarrhoea again!! Keep dreaming I'm going into labour and then just waking up with a really upset stomach around 3am, knackered today.

ElleSarcasmo · 19/09/2016 08:29

Morning all!

Sorry to hear Bodhi has been poorly Nevlet, hopefully it's just a scare. Poor little mite!

That's scary about the door kicking Potato, hope it's just a one off and the scrotes leave you alone now. Those men didn't sound very nice at all! Sorry you're feeling down about your birthday. Hopefully you'll end up having a good day. It must be lovely seeing Arya smile Smile

Very cute baby swimming pics Bunch!

Feefs I'm going to buy the snuzpod too. I'm really excited about it! The sheets are super expensive though-has anyone found anywhere cheaper to buy sheets?

30 weeks today Smile. It's all feeling a bit real now!

PotatosMum · 19/09/2016 08:35

Leonie yep, Arya can be really noisy, you do get used to it though. Have you checked that he isn't windy? When Arya's really noisy in her sleep it usually either means she's trying to burp or she has a full nappy.

Nev it sucks that you're stuck in hospital for a couple of days but it does sound like it's just a precaution. Hopefully you'll both be home soon.

I'm going to try to be a little less grumpy today as I really wasn't fun to be around yesterday.
OH wants me to start putting Arya down before she's asleep because he's worried she's going to get so used to being held that we won't be able to put her down. I'm going along with it but only because I need to start trying to work on the business if I want to be able to earn enough from it to be able to extend my maternity leave and maybe even work from home after that. I hate the idea of handing Arya over to a child minder for 3 days a week after April, I don't want anyone but us looking after my baby but if I'm not earning then there's no way I can extend my maternity leave to a year Sad

PotatosMum · 19/09/2016 08:36

Elle congrats on 30 weeks! You're nearly there now although I found that time seemed to crawl by after 30 weeks Confused

Pinklily1 · 19/09/2016 08:45

Congrats on 30 weeks feefs! When will you be finishing work?

Nev, sorry to hear Bodhi has been poorly. Fingers crossed all of the tests come back clear and you can get home soon.

Bunch, those swimming pictures are fab!!

potato, I hope you feel better today CakeFlowers

IndiX · 19/09/2016 09:18

Nev I'm so sorry to hear Bodhi has been unwell, great that his obs are looking better though. Hope you and the little man can get home soon and he's back to his normal self. I would be out of my mind too, I get really upset when the dogs are ill so I'm going to be a wreck is Beanie even gets a sniffle. Sending you both lots of love.

Aww bunch look at him go! Atticus is adorable. Glad DH is making amends for the sleepless nights!

Feefs congrats on 30 weeks, I felt like that was when the big countdown was really on.

Potato that all sounds a bit dodgy with the door kicking and those men. At least you've informed the police. I'm sure you'll have a lovely birthday this year as you have an amazing little gift this time! My birthday is 5 days after Beanie's arrival and usually I would have something planned but this year I'm totally fine with just being in bed and having baby snuggles and sleeping.

Had a lovely time at the 1st birthday party yesterday, plus I really enjoyed being able to sit with DH on the couch, eating and chatting without having to be on the floor chasing a little one around. I'm making the most of the peace now Grin
Had another night of little sleep..wish I could just sleep through for one night!

Anyway, hope you're all well

Mileymoocow · 19/09/2016 09:47

feefs 30 weeks is exciting! I think that was my first 'oh shit we're having a baby' realisation.

bunch the photos of Atticus swimming are adorable! He's such a cutie!

nev thinking of you and Bhodi. Hoping he's on the mend

LillianFullStop · 19/09/2016 09:53

Congrats on 30w elle!

Feef my digestive system and sleep are completely shot at 35w so I'm afraid it doesn't get better the further along you get. I go from being constipated to diarrhoea and back again quite randomly and now constantly tired from having disturbed sleep and waking up with back pain every morning. I have a pregnancy massage booked for this weekend I'm really looking forward to. It was originally booked for when I'm 37w but after reading about soda not making it to hers I moved it a week earlier!

Potato those guys sound like trouble especially if they are still hanging around watching the house - I'd call in to the police anyway. We had a random person ring the buzzer at our flat last week asking to look in the property because apparently there was an auction scheduled and he wanted to know if there was a basement in the building. There's no auction in our building that we know of so we told him to bugger off and ask the agent! Then ran into one of our neighbours and apparently they had someone buzz too this time asking if there was a garden on the ground floor. Sure sounds suspicious and sounds like someone shading out entry points to break in. ConfusedConfusedConfused suss people really piss me off!!!

nev Bodhi sounds like he's doing great so hope they are just being cautious. At least you are in a comfortable private room and not in a ward. Hope he gets the all clear and you get to go home soon

Nevlet · 19/09/2016 09:58

5 day stay as infection is in his blood too poor lad

IndiX · 19/09/2016 10:06

Oh no poor Bodhi. And you! Do they know what the infection is?

Nevlet · 19/09/2016 10:13

Urine infection they think since birth they dont know what the bacteria is till lab results come back

leoniethelioness · 19/09/2016 10:14

Ah, Nev. Sending you tea and cake, and lots of love and good luck wishes to you both. Hope you're both being well looked after.

Feefeefs · 19/09/2016 10:49

I'm 28 weeks today I think I've stollen some of Elle's 30 week congratulations!

I think I'm going to buy their waterproof sheet Elle and then measure the mattress when it arrives and try and buy closest fit in sheets!

It's horrible isn't it Lillian I didn't mind the diarrhoea as much when just daytime but now it keeps waking me up its a pain in the arse! Excuse the pun.

Sorry about bodhi nev hope you're doing okay.

leoniethelioness · 19/09/2016 10:58

Snuzpod sheets - I bought some of theirs but I prefer the Mamas and Papas ones I bought. They fit perfectly and feel a lot softer. I'll find the link.

leoniethelioness · 19/09/2016 11:01

Snuzpod waterproof mattress protector- www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00TYK2SS4/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have this one and it fits perfectly.

Mileymoocow · 19/09/2016 11:03

Oh nev! You poor thing, give Bhodi plenty cuddles, I can't imagine how you must be feeling Sad really hope he picks up soon.

leoniethelioness · 19/09/2016 11:08

Can't find it online but this sheet...

The mattress is 36.5 x 80.5cm.

IrregularCommentary · 19/09/2016 11:22

Sorry to hear you have to stay in Nev - at least if he's feeding well then it doesn't sound like he's in any distress.

Have you got support in terms of not being left in hospital on your own?

mayago · 19/09/2016 11:39

Oh Nev! I can't imagine what you're going through. I hope the 5 days pass quickly, and uneventfully for you and Bodhi.

Potato I hope you're feeling better today. It's no fun trying not to be grumpy

Feef Happy third trimester! And congrats on 30 weeks Elle!

Bunch Atticus is the cutest little swimmer!

I do like the snuzpod. My bed has drawers underneath, so a lot of the side sleepers aren't suitable - not sure if this includes the snuzpod?. I'm also looking at a small crib from Tescos to go near my bed instead - it's hard to match our colour scheme Blush.

Mileymoocow · 19/09/2016 11:54

may I know the next2me legs rotate 90 degrees to accommodate divan beds if that helps! I don't know much about the snuzpod. Going to pick up our next2me today and hopefully hos sleepy head will be here tomorrow!

I love our canvas the bounty lady has done! I burst into tears when I opened it. 1 week old today and he has changed so much already.

LillianFullStop · 19/09/2016 11:55

Oh no nev I hope he kicks the infection soon - at least he's in the right place to be looked after.

feef I highly recommend picking up some Andrex flushable toilet wipes. saves me a sore arse from all the activity down there!

thanks for that leonie I'm on the market for spare sheets and protectors for the Snuzpod too and theirs are quite pricey.

We bought the NCT Caboo for a carrier but tried a plain sling wrap at my NCT class yesterday and quite liked it. bunch I think you had one you liked? or if anyone else can recommend one? Any reviews for Boba, Moby or any others? Would like one for when the Caboo falls casualty to some vomit, etc.

LillianFullStop · 19/09/2016 11:56

Miley that is gorgeous!!
