Behold, the wonder of birth! Members from 6 weeks bfp to post-partum wonder Mamas! No question to grotty or minging.

We've come full circle from obsessing about cervical mucus to now obsessing if it's our vagina baby plug going! What larks!

Lots of talk about poo, ours and now babies too! Baby brain is REAL! This heat can kiss my arse. And who KNEW being so neurotic about which changing mat to buy could be so satisfying and addictive!

Sooo many gorgeous babies now! And equally lovely Mummy's! We are amazing! What a year! Can you believe it's been a year since our first tentative TTC thread!? Look how far we've come!

Roll up, literally, in my case, cause I'm practically rotund! for TTC #1 Grads!

Bunch Arya's little nose is fine during the day it's just during the night once she's lead down she begins to struggle.

Yay for Atticus giggling. I saw your Instagram video and it's the cutest thing. I can't wait for Arya to properly giggle, at the moment her giggles and her "I'm about to cry" sound the same Confused

Lara congrats!!! Are you going to share LOs name and some photos (I never used to like baby photos until I had one of my own)
That's a really lovely birth story, I'm glad it went so well for you Grin

I'm officially in full Christmas shopping mode and will probably have all the big presents sorted before the end of this month Wink I've also bought Arya a personalised bauble with her photo on it. I'm thinking of making it a tradition to get one every year. I've also ordered her a personalised Christmas stocking Smile
We have both DSC this year too so it'll be a full house!

Danni89 · 21/10/2016 09:31

I'm in greater London nev, boarderline Essex. Also check out waterbabies for swimming lessons- bit pricey though, there maybe a local one cheaper.

Lovely birth story lara!

Mason slept from 11-2 then 3-9!! Can't believe it!

Canters15 · 21/10/2016 09:40

Urghh, am struggling to keep up! Had a rubbish time this week with hyperemesis, nothing would stay down so ended up admitted for fluids and antiemetics again. Back home now and feeling better, just can't believe this is happening at such a late stage!

Bit worried about baby's growth. Bump hasn't grown since last week so now measuring 31.5 at 36 weeks preg and am on the 5th centile. We've been referred for a growth scan so am hoping that comes through quickly and will put my mind at rest.

lisa so sorry you're having problems with your scar, hoping the antibiotics sort you out quickly.

nev sounds like a great trip away, well done on leaving bodhi, it must have been so hard!

Huge congrats lara that sounds like an amazing birth! Well done you!

Mileymoocow · 21/10/2016 10:28

lara biggest congratulations!!! That's brilliant and well done you.

canters you have my sympathies, the exact same thing happened to me a couple of weeks before I had Harrison. It's the last thing you need when in the last stages of pregnancy.

bunch Atticus is the cutest! His giggle melted me.

We bought a nightlight to put on the side of Harrisons next to me and he absolutely loves it! I managed to undress him for his bath with full cooperation. I've also found out that he sleeps quite well when put to sleep in the sling then transferred to his bed. I got about 4 hours last night which is more than the last 3 nights combined

Co5mo · 21/10/2016 14:49

I know Bunch. I made DH slip in the spare room last night and have resolved that Arthur and I will be in there when DH goes back to work (so we get a lie in without being disturbed by the shower).

Canters you're measuring similar to what I was. Our growth scans showed short arms and legs but there is absolute nothing wrong with him. Just a lot of worry for nothing. I know it's hard but do try not to worry and enjoy seeing little one again. X

First supermarket trip today and no Mum and Baby spaces free. I was so dissapointed. Had to park as far away from the shop as possible to have room to get the car seat out of the car.

LisaTheSimpson · 21/10/2016 16:07

Co5mo - I'd forgotten we're now eligible for parent and baby spaces! It wouldn't have occurred to me.

Can't wait until I can drive so I can use them! Grin

IndiX · 21/10/2016 17:18

Congratulations Lara!! Well done for the home birth and no pain relief tooGrin

Cosmo I had the same problem today trying to find a car space Angry Lisa I've driven since day 10. I don't know which insurance you're with but I'm with admiral and they said as long as a MW/Dr hasn't told me NOT to drive then I'm fine to drive whenever I'm ready post ELCS. It was literally the best news as I was going so stir crazy in the house and waiting for DH to take me places. If you feel ready to drive maybe phone your insurance and see when they allow you to drive after a C section?

Look how cute he is miley!! Great news on the sleeping, it makes such a difference to your mood for the day. I need to get a night light too, we keep the ensuite light on and door slightly open but we need a proper little light. Which one did you get?

So sorry you're feeling so sick canters. It's nearly over though Grin

I'm glad arya's jabs weren't too traumatic but sorry she's feeling a bit rubbish. Hope she's back to her normal self soon potato.

Sorry haven't been able to properly catch up. My auntie is here to visit this weekend, she's lovely but one of those people who talk non stopHmm
Autumn has been whingey again today, I've found a white noise track on my phone though and it's a bloody god send! She's sleeping well at night but I think she's getting more alert and nosier in the day time and tiring herself out by staying awake. The white noise sends her off in minutes thoughGrin

Mileymoocow · 21/10/2016 17:27

indi it's the Chicco one designed for the next2me. I'm glad Autumn is sleeping well through the night - Harrison is still being a tinker so any advice would be greatly received! He's up every hour and a half at least. I've been told a lot to give him a bottle of formula before bed to keep him sleeping longer as he's such a hungry boy. No wonder he's putting on a pound a week

The noises are still keeping me up all night. He's so loud and I'm so exhausted.

We can never get a parent and child space! It's a pet hate of mine - I mostly don't even bother checking now and head to the back of car parks in the hope no one parks next to the car seat side!

marmitecheesetoast · 21/10/2016 18:35

Thanks potato and miley just had a look at amazon, there are so many and so many shapes how to know where to start?!

That's a good idea about the envelopes potato I might do that too! Hope Arya feels better soon. Poor wee mite!

Hi Lara that sounds like an amazing impromptu home birth, congratulations!

Hope you got some nice new shoes Audrey and looking forward to seeing nursery pictures!

Sorry to hear you've been feeling so poorly canters

Well done on your first supermarket trip cosmo!

Mum and dad have just arrived for the weekend. They are very excited! It's lovely to see them as they live in Scotland but it will also be not the most restful of weekends I imagine! Mum wants to buy me some maternity clothes which I won't complaint about Grin

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

LisaTheSimpson · 21/10/2016 20:01

Indi - I'm with Admiral too! Didn't think to call them. With check tomorrow; fingers crossed they say the same as you!

In terms of night lights, I looked EVERYWHERE for one, and eventually got this on a recommendation. I love it. Firstly, you can have it plugged in or charge it up, so it's portable. Secondly, it's touch-operated, so no fiddling with switches in the dark. And thirdly, the lowest setting is perfect for being able to just see enough for feeding, but still keeps the room dim and low.

Feefeefs · 21/10/2016 20:10

Glad he's moving now first hope it goes the way you want!

Impressed with arya potato!! Brave girl. A full house sounds amazing for Christmas you'll love it! So exciting.

Congratulations Lara that's a lovely birth story sounds like you did amazing. Glad it was a positive experience for you.

Poor you canters that sounds rough! Hope you get your scan soon.

Still can't make my mind up about finishing. I think I'll go stir crazy in the flat, I wish we were in the house then I might feel a bit happier about it

PotatosMum · 21/10/2016 21:31

Dannie what a little angel sleeping so well.

Canters hang in there with the sickness. It's horrible but it can't last forever x
I'm sure LO will be fine. As we've all said before, midwife bump measurements are notoriously inaccurate.

Miley look at all that hair! What a sweetie! Smile

Cosmo, Lisa my OH loves parent and child spaces, he goes out of his way to use them just because we can lol
I get really cross though when I see people with children old enough to get in and out of the car by themselves using them, and even worse, people with no children at all and no obvious mobility problem Angry

Marmite I got a plain 4ft bolster pillow and it worked a treat. I just chose the one with the best reviews.
Enjoy shopping with your mum.

Arya has been really dozy today. I think yesterday took it out of her. On the bright side, I was able to put her cot together while she dozed, it's massive but very pretty Smile

AudreyBradshaw · 21/10/2016 21:35

Got some safe shoe/boots which will hopefully keep me upright! And they fit! And are comfortable! Win! Grin

Realised today I've also never posted a bump shot! So here's one from this morning!

Sorry you're having a shocker canters you poor thing, look after yourself and take it easy.

miley Harrison is so cute, his little concentrating face! I love it!

Have a lovely weekend indi hope Autumn settles easily, I've been looking up the white noise apps, I think I'd probably benefit from one!

Christmas will be amazing potato and a full house will be awesome! I'm so excited for Christmas with a new baby!

marmite I'm going to take some proper ones in the morning of the baby's room, I found my mobile, which I'd helpfully packed...In the box which is housing the things for my hospital bag. I have a thing for labelling things Grin

Dh is thinking of barring me from cooking, I'm a liability currently! Grin

Great bump pic, Stardrey! Can't wait for more thread babies.

Marmite - I don't recommend complicated pillows where you use part to prop your bump up, part between your legs, and part goes behind you to stop you going onto your back. This is like the dream genie (sp?) one I got. It was uber comfortable, but getting into it was like a military operation. And that's fine when you first go to bed, but a massive pain each time you come back from a nighttime wee (and i got up LOADS in the night when I was pregnant).

With hindsight I would have just used a regular pillow, or bought a simpler one. Hope that helps.

Feefs - what are your different options for finishing? Can you go whenever you want to?

AudreyBradshaw · 21/10/2016 22:08

Marmite I've also just been using a normal pillow. Was going to get a long one but I've always slept with a pillow between my knees anyway so I just decided to keep that up for as long as was comfortable and it's been fine. Mine is just a really thick/good quality one so it doesn't go flat.

Sodasoda · 21/10/2016 22:46

Congratulations Lara! Lovely news!

Great bump audrey!

Sorry you're feeling ill canters and hope you're infection is healing Lisa.

Thanks for hair reassurance! I've booked it for 2 weeks time. I'll let you know if my hair falls out Wink

Alexa is 6 weeks old! I can't believe how time has flown!

Re a pillow - I found it really useful. I got a really long one from John Lewis. I can't remember the name. I also used it in labour! The hospital was pretty short of pillows! I've also used it for breastfeeding and I think as Alexa gets bigger I'll use it to prop her up / help her sit etc so it was a good buy.

Also - for those that have a birthing ball - I have found it amazing to soothe Alexa! I sit and bounce on it while holding her and she just loves it - calms down instantly and we often bounce her to sleep before putting her down.

The last 3 nights have been amazing - she's slept right through from 12-7. I feel like a different person with sleep! Hoping this continues but not getting carried away!

I hope everyone has something nice planned this weekend. We have friends visiting so looking forward to seeing them Smile

I have my 6 week check on Monday. Anything I should ask or anything special that happens?

Nevlet · 22/10/2016 02:29

So many posts to catch up on!

You would think I had time now as Bodhi seems to have been replaced by the Duracell Bunny on crack tonight. Had the most exciting nappy change yet two sleepsuit changes for him and I have discarded my pjs on the lounge floor and am sat with him in my knickers. He seems determined to be wide awake beat the hell out of me and see how many things he can be sick on due to manic crackbunny like behaviour after food haha!!

Nevlet · 22/10/2016 06:53

He is still awake Shock

Mooseville · 22/10/2016 07:45

Morning everyone,

It's lovely to read all your baby news and I'm picking up some good tips already from you ladies! Lara that birth story sounded lovely. It's so nice to hear one that doesn't sound scary!

I had a viability scan yesterday and there was a lovely blob there with a little flickering heartbeat all doing what it was meant to! It's definitely feeling more real now!!!

BunchOfBobs · 22/10/2016 08:49

Huge congrats Lara, I cross posted with you yesterday. What an amazing birth story.

Potato we were the same with the stuffy nose so have ended up propping up on end of his cot.

Great news on the nightlight miley. His hair just gets better and better!!

Atticus just slept 10pm until 3.45am and then until 6am. I'm in shock.

Co5mo I have that issue all the time, there's only about 4 spaces at my local shop. I've found myself walking very slowly past them to check if people have kids. It backfired the day I decided to give someone a mouthful for not having a child with her..... then up rolls her DH with their second trolley and the toddler with him Blush

Lovely bump Stardrey, loving how you have you organised everything and the labels Grin !

Sheesh Nev, I hope you managed to get back to sleep, or at least get some clothes on Wink

Woohoo on the heartbeat moose!

Nevlet · 22/10/2016 09:18

Bunch ITS STILL BLOODY AWAKE

Pinklily1 · 22/10/2016 09:25

Just a quick one to say congratulations lara!!

Fab scan moose!

AudreyBradshaw · 22/10/2016 10:41

Oh my nev mate, you must be dead on your feet! Hope he goes down for a kip soon so you can get some rest!

Amazing on the sleep time soda long may it continue!

Ooooh moose that's your little bean! How lovely! Enjoy every minute of being pregnant (if possible) cause I've found it flies by in the blink of an eye! Congratulations!

bunch I LOVE a label, I've wanted a label maker for years but nobody in my family will allow it because I'd label everything! Grin Ive got to do one more bundle "In case of Chunk baby ^12 lbs" but mentally I'm not even going there!
Also, EXCELLENT sleeping Atticus!

potato Hope Arya is feeling more herself again after the jabs.

Did anyone's hand/s go numb/tingly towards the end of the third trimester? I've had what I thought was a dead arm for two days but after a google it could be carpal tunnel, I just thought I'd slept on it and my colossal weight had rendered it useless! Grin

OP posts:
Mileymoocow · 22/10/2016 10:42

nev laughing at 'its still bloody awake' 😂 I have a little snoozer today - not sure why he can't do this during the night but never mind!

Hope everyone's well, I've invested in a lansinoh electric pump so OH and I can go to the cinema and leave Harrison with my mum. I'm dreading it already but I know he will be fine! I've also bought a Ewan sheep after a lot of people have recommended it so hopefully Amazon will have it for me to try tomorrow night. Fingers crossed!

Lovely scan moose so many more lovely scans to come, too! Grin

audrey bloody hell that is organised! You're looking fabulous, too! Lovely bump.

My mum is coming and we're going to go out for afternoon tea which I'm really looking forward to - my favourite tea room does the most amazing carrot cake and I'm salivating just thinking of it.

Mileymoocow · 22/10/2016 10:44

bunch I very nearly did the exact same thing when I saw a woman park up and walk into ASDA sans-child, but she just went to get a car seat trolley thing and came back so I called off making a scene Blush
