I don't know what I'm doing but seen the message saying another thread was needed. I don't know what to add to this but though.

Erm. I'm Derek btw. 35 week on Thursday and due 6/10/16

Sorry but I have no idea what I'm doing 😂

I'm carrying high, I generally do. My size 8/10 knickers are still fine. I've never required massive sized pants after birth either just ones with enough fabric to them to hold your towels in place. Maternity towels are long so really low cut knickers are no good.

climbingcheesecake · 13/09/2016 12:29

I've had to go up at least two knicker sizes Kariana! A friend said that if you have to have a c-section then you need massive granny knickers that go really high up over the cut so I might buy a pair just in case - not that I am planning a cs but you never know.

derryjojo · 13/09/2016 12:31

Karina, I have bought giant black granny knickers from Primark. A couple of pound for a pack of 5.
I'm the same size of pants since the start, but I've nearly had to buy a new bra every week as they've gotten really tight. My boobs seem to be growing by the hour!

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 13/09/2016 12:56

Kariana I bought massive knickers with DS in case of c section, but the normal shorts type that I wear were fine after I had him. I still have an unopened pack of granny pants so I'm going to put them in my hospital bag in case.

TeaGirl3 · 13/09/2016 16:46

Karina I'm also an 8/10 and have recently bought 10/12 black granny/Bridget Jones pants from Primark; as they're high waisted, they'll cope with the maternity pads and also give enough cover in case of a c section.

Moving onto bras, I'm still in my non wired bras that I bought a few months into pregnancy and haven't grown much more. I popped into JoJo last week and they advised that I should come back to be measured for nursing bras about 2 weeks before my due date - hopefully baby won't arrive before!

DerekSprechenZeDick · 13/09/2016 17:18

Had a scan today. She weighs 6lbs. So same as my son he was born dead on 37 week at 6lbs 2 so there are no concerns there

There is more fluid though but they didn't say if that was a good or bad thing.

Baby is now 3/5 engaged, mw said obv he could move but she feels he's in a good position

Back in two weeks

Kariana · 13/09/2016 18:03

Thank you all, hadn't considered the c section angle but that explains the giant pants thing, the high waist makes perfect sense. I'll get some bought!

Looks like I'm the only one having to buy massively large sized knickers now though (not granny pants just big versions of my normal ones). Think the stretch marks on my lower abdomen have made my skin feel really fragile and I can't stand the elastic cutting in. I want loose knickers Grin I'm not even carrying the baby low down.

Tea I'm the same with bras, went up two back sizes and a cup size early on (not put on any weight up top apart from boobs, think the back size is due to rib expansion) and stayed the same since. I got mine from M&S and they said the same thing about nursing bras. I'm slightly horrified at the idea that they'll get even bigger - I'm going to overbalance!

Derek that's good news, glad all is ok.

Kariana · 13/09/2016 18:05

X posted Fresh, but that's good news too.

Due to a mess up at my new surgery the midwife didn't actually check baby's position at my last appointment, but I'm going for a new area booking appointment Sunday so hopefully they will then.

Hi all
Thought I'd delurk to say hi, I'm 35+1wks today.
EDD 17/10/16.

Just wanted to jump into say that the seamless Maronite and nursing bras on amazon are very comfy. They are bit like stretchy sports bras but for nursing and maternity.
I ordered a pack of 3 about a month ago, this is my 3rd pregnancy and I can hand on heart say wish I found them for my previous 2.
I had such a collection of uncomfortable wireless bras from mothercare and m&s Angry

MintTpls · 13/09/2016 20:12

Gah. auto correct..
Seamless maternity not maronet

ChatterNatterer · 13/09/2016 22:04

Hi Mint

Re granny pants I was a size 12 in pants and am currently in 14/16 Primark shorts, size 16 tesco pants now cut into my flesh so I have bought some proper granny m and s size 18 full briefs for hospital and after - hoping that's all I need!

Kitten3 · 13/09/2016 22:14

In preparation for C section, I have purchased the ever so handy TENA PANTS!

They are super comfy and high waisted and you just bin them as you go along. Bit pricey, but I found them useful post C-section and no worries at all about leakage.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 13/09/2016 23:16

I've been trying to sleep but I can't.

I have lower abdomen pain. Lot of what feels like pressure and back pain too

I'm so tired as well after been out all day

Jumping on again fit my random check in! 36w now and baby scanned at 5.5lbs at 32w, so probably 7.5ish now. She's still moving around a lot - sometimes head down, but mostly with head wedged in my hip.
Anyone else look at their belly and try to imagine the baby all curled up in there? Just s few mins ago I had some thumps to the belly that I thought was my co-sleeping toddler pressing against me with her foot, but turns out it was baby!
Would love to be on the Fb group, as long as it's secret? I haven't actually announced pregnancy on fb yet for a few reasons so don't want it to give it away! Who can get me in...? I have non-alcoholic wine and some chocolate....Wine Chocolate Grin

Bluecarrot · 14/09/2016 00:12

Derek are you thinking early labour pains or just that you've overdone it? Of the former, put the phone down now, get a hot water bottle on your back and try to get some sleep!

Afreshstartplease · 14/09/2016 07:07

How are you feeling now Derek?

35 weeks today!

Kariana · 14/09/2016 08:00

Hi Mint, welcome!

Blue, I do that too. I poke at the lumps round my belly button to try and work out what's sticking out, still doesn't seem quite real though. I can't imagine how he's lying most of the time.

Chatter I'm glad it's not just me. I think Tesco aren't very generous with the material and elastic in their knickers. I might look into those pants Kitten mentioned just for the comfort after the event!

Afreshstartplease · 14/09/2016 09:13

OMG I'm having a proper sweaty melt down post school run! Mistakenly wore jeggings and wanted to rip them off halfway there! So hot. Yuck.

Bottom of bump is achey today think I'll need to wear my support belt which baby hates! He must get squished by it poor thing

JulietteL · 14/09/2016 11:18

Hi all. Just to confirm that we have now closed the existing fb group (that has been running since March) to new entrants. My original message from 1 September to give notice for any final requests is below (about a dozen people have joined since, bringing our numbers up to 75-ish). I imagine some of the group (including me!) will continue posting here too, but in the meantime, I wish you all the best and hope everyone has positive and bearable (!) labours.

Juliette L wrote on 1 Sept:
I just wanted to give a quick heads up about the facebook group. Now babies have started to arrive we are planning to close the existing fb group to new entrants in the next few weeks. This is primarily because of the need to safeguard personal/sensitive information (there's no anonymity on facebook and people do tend - quite naturally - to post quite a bit of personal stuff), but also for size and cohesion reasons (we're already up to 65 members).

DerekSprechenZeDick · 14/09/2016 11:21

Think I just over did it. It's all new to me Grin

I'm 37 week tomorrow. I've been trying to work out what my notes mean from the scan this morning.

Try and take it easy today Derek!

Ivr clearly walked too much this week and my spd is playing up everytime I sit for a few minutes my left leg locks up

Figgygal · 14/09/2016 17:59

I took ds swimming after school today gosh my legs ache now and I barely did any swimming!!

Weighed myself this morning really need to stop doing that it's too depressing 2.5stone now

ChatterNatterer · 14/09/2016 19:01

I'm too scared to weigh myself! I know for a fact most of my weight gain isn't baby - I have eaten like a hungry trucker since January Blush

TaffetaMuttonfudge · 14/09/2016 19:14

I am 36 weeks tomorrow and I just want this to be over. I feel hot, tired and grumpy. Anyone with me?

I also have GD, and all I want to eat is bread and fruit. Luckily with the diet I've been set, I've actually got down to my booking in weight. Every cloud - just wish this cloud allowed for the odd box of Fererro Rocher! Hmm

Rant over. Sorry, needed this to get that out of my system.
