I don't know what I'm doing but seen the message saying another thread was needed. I don't know what to add to this but though.

Erm. I'm Derek btw. 35 week on Thursday and due 6/10/16

Sorry but I have no idea what I'm doing 😂

I see the midwife about this increase in fluid, pains and birth plan tomorrow

Blimey taffeta that's amazing you're at your booking in weight. I thought I was good having only put on 10lbs this preg thanks to the GD diet. my dreams about pizza, wine and chocolate are intense. 36 weeks not long now THANK GOD.

Had strong BH for about 4 hours last night and started to get worried, but they dissipated once I got in bed.

TaffetaMuttonfudge · 14/09/2016 20:52

Seriously I'd rather be eating pizza Grin. Never realised how much I loved food until I was forced to restrict. I have hidden a box of after eights in my hospital bag, just because I can!

Figgygal · 14/09/2016 21:29

I am ashamed to say this and my previous pregnancy have brought out the worst in me lots of sugar and carbs I'm actually sick to death of eating it. I put on 3 stone last time lost it all within 6 months and most within first few weeks (yay big baby, big placenta and extra fluids) but I'm mid 30's now and should know better.

Bluecarrot · 14/09/2016 21:46

Oh dear. I'm uh..,5 stone up.
I just can't stop feeling hungry all the time. I literally have not felt satisfied, never mind full, since I was 4m pregnant.
I thought I was eating "good" stuff but apparently not! ( well, I ate a lot of fruit so prob waaaaay over my sugar limit. But no interest in chocolate bars or regular desserts or even bread.) should've stayed with slimming world.

I gained 4 last time ( was on bed rest and consoled myself with chocolate!) but lost 2st quickly almost right away, and another 3 stone pretty easily from around her first birthday ( when breastfeeding decreased) til her second birthday. So I ended up lighter than pre pregnancy. Sadly I put 1st back on before falling pregnant due to stress eating, so was at same starting point for this pregnancy.
Have had the reality check I needed though and adjusting the balance of foods and trying to get swimming and waking more in the next few weeks.

Kariana · 15/09/2016 00:24

Taffeta I'm with you, came on here just to rant about that actually. It's far too hot. I'm sick of worrying that I'm going to harm the baby by sitting or moving a certain way. I'm sick of the horrible head pressure and weird feeling I get if I try to sit any way other than leaning slightly forward. I'm sick of waking up after increasingly short periods of time every night because of the pressure on my ribs and hips. I'm definitely fed up of the restless legs. I'm even fed up with the baby hiccuping now because it feels so weird down in my pelvis and he's suddenly started doing it two or three times a day. I just want to be comfortable again.

I feel terrible saying all this because I obviously don't want the baby to come right now, it's too early. I want him to be happy and healthy in there and reach full term so he arrives healthy , but I'd love it if dh's confident assertions that he will be here at 38 weeks could be guaranteed to come true!

Ok rant over. I'm sure I will feel better in the morning. Today has not been a good day.

AngharadTheSplendid · 15/09/2016 00:36

After Eights in the hospital bag, that is genius!

Very impressive Figgy and Blue that you managed to lose so much post preg. I most certainly am still carrying the weight from my first preg. I didnt have it in me to really try and lose it when I knew i wanted to get upduffed again so soon. Tbh I'll probably wait until I feel like I'm 'done' having kids and then sort myself out properly!

ChatterNatterer · 15/09/2016 05:05

I hear all of those pregnancy gripes ladies - been up since 330 with nausea and random insomnia Angry

Afreshstartplease · 15/09/2016 07:18

Up every two hours to pee. Then been harassed by 3 year old since 5am

It's going to be a long day

I'm happy for this baby to come at any point after 37 weeks

Bluecarrot · 15/09/2016 10:07

Try tonic water with quinine (sp?) for restless legs. Fever tree do one without lots of scary sounding additives. Must admit I hate the taste but it works! I sip a small bottle of it between mid afternoon and bedtime (would rather gulp it down and get it over with but not sure how long it takes to take effect and I'm not risking messing with it at this stage. Sleep is too precious!)

Figgygal · 15/09/2016 10:08

the only food stuff I have in my hospital bag is a twin pack of Jaffa cakes I think that is what I took last time too, they feed us well at Bath and there is a café I can send DH to.

I "only" got up to wee 3 times last night that seemed impressive!!

Met another very pg lady last night who lives in our village she is due next week so had a long chat with her which was nice!!

DerekSprechenZeDick · 15/09/2016 10:12

I'm 37 week today. I never been this much pregnant. I'm like super pregnant

Midwife this afternoon. Find out what this extra fluid means.

Afreshstartplease · 15/09/2016 10:14

I still haven't started the hospital bags. Oops

DerekSprechenZeDick · 15/09/2016 10:16

Fresh I have some vests and baby oil in mine Grin

OP posts:
Afreshstartplease · 15/09/2016 10:28

I haven't even washed any baby things....truth is I'm struggling with just day to day tasks! But I know it's only gonna get worse! The school run is killing me.

Kariana · 15/09/2016 10:41

That's ok Fresh, I haven't either Grin

Going to bed so late last night meant that by the time I got up at 7am I'd only woken up twice for a wee. Felt surprisingly awake at the time, but now feel wiped out and want a nap. Can't have one though because the sofa is too small for me to lie on comfortably now I'm pregnant and the plumber is still at work in the en-suite so can't get in bed :( Do feel better about life this morning though and over my rant from yesterday (for now - if the weather heats up this afternoon it may come back!)

Afreshstartplease · 15/09/2016 11:04

My comfiest sleep position is on the sofa. Its very unladylike and should make my spd worse but doesn't somehow.
Hard to describe but it's kind of half on my front facing the back of the sofa with leg over the back. I have a squishy sofa with loads of cushions and a too firm foam mattress on my bed!

DerekSprechenZeDick · 15/09/2016 11:15

I've been sleeping on the sofa bed lately for the same reason Fresh

OP posts:
Afreshstartplease · 15/09/2016 11:35

Least I'm not alone! Is your position as unladylike?

DerekSprechenZeDick · 15/09/2016 11:41

Very similar. I have my V cushion as well. I'm currently laid on the sofa bed. I can't get comfy in the normal bed

OP posts:
Afreshstartplease · 15/09/2016 12:00

I'm trying to get jobs round the house done. My energy levels deteriorate rapidly after 1pm! Have to get most I can done before then!

DerekSprechenZeDick · 15/09/2016 19:02

WHat does 5th palpable mean?

Apparently I'm 3/5ths

Midwife sent me to maternity assessment as she wasn't impressed with the lack of movement or the pain or the fluid increase

OP posts:
Afreshstartplease · 15/09/2016 19:39

Palpable is how much of babies head they can feel as its not yet fully engaged

I'm 3/5 too

Figgygal · 15/09/2016 20:29

Someone sent me this not sure if it's any help
