I don't know what I'm doing but seen the message saying another thread was needed. I don't know what to add to this but though.

Erm. I'm Derek btw. 35 week on Thursday and due 6/10/16

Sorry but I have no idea what I'm doing 😂

Thank you for the lovely welcome!

Am out in the sun, enjoying the end of my first week of maternity leave. Not sure how to fill the next 5 weeks but I'm sure they'll fly by!

I do NOT like the sound of "fanny daggers"- is this one of the many joys of late late pregnancy I have to look forward to??

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 23/09/2016 14:34

Welcome to the new ladies.

Sorry to hear you're uncomfortable Derek and fresh.

Congrats northern! Looking forward to more birth announcements in the coming weeks!

I'm miserable - I was up with DS in the night, got stuck in his bed and SPD meant I couldn't roll over, and I've woken up with a cold. I have an exam on Tuesday which I need to revise for, and DH has decided that even though I get stuck in his bed, I should continue to deal with DS every night because he has to work. He seems to have forgotten that my mat leave doesn't start for another week, so I'm working too, and that I'm 35 weeks pregnant.

Sorry for the rant! I can't wait to meet my baby and have my body back!

Afreshstartplease · 23/09/2016 15:10

Yes to wanting your body back!

I have to do all the night wakings and early mornings with our dd as she will only accept me when she's feeling needy! It's hard work. Luckily I took fairly early mat leave (32 weeks)

I have a feeling baby will be with us in the next two weeks and really hope I am right! I couldn't survive if I went over, the thought of possibly nearly six weeks of this is awful!

Kariana · 23/09/2016 21:27

Squtter I think fanny daggers happen once baby starts to engage so yes sadly you probably have them to look forward to. I haven't had them yet with mine being the wrong way up, maybe that's the one advantage to his position!

Fresh I've had the same 'sign' for the last week, not pleasant. Really hoping it's not an imminent sign though, he needs to wait till after Thursday. I don't want an EMCS!

DerekSprechenZeDick · 23/09/2016 21:48

I had the worse fanny daggers today.

I'm number 2ing a lot as well fresh

I'm just fed up now

Anyone awake??

I've just tried to sit up and hot shooting stabby pains throughout stomach and back.

Could have cried it was so bad. Still fairly there now

TaffetaMuttonfudge · 24/09/2016 00:22

Hi Derek - I'm awake. Sounds like things are moving on, hang in there. I've been having the same and can't sleep so thought I'd carry on trying to harvest colostrum and actually managed to produce some this time! A pathetic amount but still made me do an ill-advised happy dance which caused more fanny daggers!

DerekSprechenZeDick · 24/09/2016 00:32

Still there, just dull. In my butt cheek and groin.

Fanny daggers today have taken the piss. It was like I had sat on an electric fence

TaffetaMuttonfudge · 24/09/2016 00:36

They are a killer, I looked like I was doing the quickstep on the way back from the school run today!

DerekSprechenZeDick · 24/09/2016 00:49

When are you due?

OP posts:
TaffetaMuttonfudge · 24/09/2016 00:53

13th October, but have a feeling I'm not going to make it that far if I'm honest and going in for ELCS at 39 weeks.

From memory I think you're due before me aren't you?

DerekSprechenZeDick · 24/09/2016 00:53

6th Oct.

I want her out now though.

OP posts:
TaffetaMuttonfudge · 24/09/2016 00:56

Sounds like she wants the same thing from your symptoms Smile.

It's when they come out that the fun really starts.... though I am also totally over this whole pregnancy bollocks!

Squtternutbosch · 24/09/2016 01:05

I'm "awake again"- went to bed at 10:30, straight to sleep, up to pee at 11:30, up to pee at 1:15, restless legs so now wide awake. Sigh.

I potentially have another 7 weeks of this broken, awful sleep. and then another God knows how many years of it!

Derek sorry to hear you're so uncomfortable. Fanny Daggers sound shite. Flowers for you, and here's hoping your LO makes a prompt appearance

Figgygal · 24/09/2016 07:33

Shit nights sleep, indigestion after curry with friends combined with multiple loo stops and a sore shoulder last few nights all didn't help!!

Going to see Bridget Jones tonight which should be fun.

Dd 4th October feels forever away I'm heading towards another late baby I just know it Sad

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 24/09/2016 08:46

I have gastroenteritis. Both DH and I have been up all night sick and (tmi sorry) on the loo. And DS woke at 6 happy as Larry. We've taken him to PIL's for the day, so I'm back in bed trying to rest, but the SPD doesn't make it easy - I'm about as miserable as can be.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 24/09/2016 09:14

Well I'm 26 today. I'm off for a pub lunch with a friend later.

She can stay put til least tomorrow Grin

Happy birthday Derek!

Kariana · 24/09/2016 10:03

Happy birthday Derek! Hope the pains ease off for you today.

Squtter - a fellow restless legs sufferer! Mine have been getting worse and worse, even cried a couple of times in the middle of the night with frustration. Haven't really found anyone else suffering though, so nice to know I'm not the only one, although really it's such a horrible symptom I wouldn't wish it on anyone. It makes fanny daggers sound appealing!

Afreshstartplease · 24/09/2016 10:06

Happy Birthday Derek!

I don't know why but 26 seems so young, silly because I'm only 28 myself lol. That is physically anyway. I'm sure my mental age is atleast 47!

Same old same old last night. Up and down with spd and going to wee. Really need to crack on with housework today however dp is out so I have three DC here with me on my own. Also need to pack hospital bag.

36+3

Afreshstartplease · 24/09/2016 10:58

Seem to be starting up with period type pains again, typical when I'm home alone with the kids I'll probably go in to bloody labour

Redken24 · 24/09/2016 12:06

has anyone tried the accupressure points to bring on labour?

LillianFullStop · 24/09/2016 15:22

Schnitzel sorry about the gastro - hope you kick it soon.

Happy birthday Derek! Still cheering you on for Wednesday.

I'm curious about acupressure too redken - I think I might try reflexology first.

fresh hope labour holds off until your DH is back!

had a lovely pregnancy massage in town today - fell asleep 3 times and an hour. 35+6 and wondering if I could squeeze another one in before I go into labour. DH and I are hoping betting on a 38w arrival though.

Afreshstartplease · 24/09/2016 15:29

Pains have been on and off throughout the day but only when I sit down so nothing to get excited about I don't think!

LillianFullStop · 24/09/2016 15:56

the fanny daggers got me while I was out and about today. really really unpleasant!! kept having to stop walking!!! Confused
