I don't know what I'm doing but seen the message saying another thread was needed. I don't know what to add to this but though.

Erm. I'm Derek btw. 35 week on Thursday and due 6/10/16

Sorry but I have no idea what I'm doing 😂

Happy birthday Derek!

I've spent most of the day asleep - I think the worst has passed now I just feel very weak and drained. At one stage I was worried it was going to bring in labour!

Afreshstartplease · 24/09/2016 18:08

Glad your starting to feel a bit better schnitzel!

So far my hospital bag contains two towels and a load of black knickers

Organised !

Ditsy86 · 24/09/2016 18:13

Hi i'm new to the thread 36+5. Its good to hear others have these symptoms. I keep feeling like this one is head butting my bladder and thinking of crap... oh no its ok this time. Haven't packed my bag yet thinking of doing that in the next day or two, but was just wondering i was on another feed and there were ppl saying that they were wearing pads in case their water broke. Is this normal does anyone know? I didn't think it would help much but i'm a first timer and haven't got a clue.

TaffetaMuttonfudge · 24/09/2016 18:20

Happy birthday Derek!

Feel exhausted today, totally unable to cope with life and just want to cry. Bloody hormones. DH out at football again (every bloody weekend as well as some weekday evenings), leaving me to cope with DS1, housework and shopping alone, and just feel like I want to moan.

Sorry - rant over. Feel slightly better for that.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 24/09/2016 18:51

I'm still in pain. All in my back and front again. Heartburn is worse than ever as well

OP posts:
Afreshstartplease · 24/09/2016 18:52

But did you enjoy your birthday?

DerekSprechenZeDick · 24/09/2016 21:12

The bits between the pain were ok.

I got a cake and had a Chinese tonight. I'm back in bed.

Stomach tightenings were occurring, mum could feel them. She said they are either practise ones or she's hanging out of me now due to how close they were Grin

So we are going with painful day long fake BH

OP posts:
Afreshstartplease · 24/09/2016 21:33

Derek I had them for a week before I had one of my DC! It was grim.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 25/09/2016 06:14

I woke up an hour ago and wanted cereal. Now she's doing some form of aerobics so I can't get back to sleep.

The pain has at least gone for now

Just catching up on the thread- sounds like a few people will be seeing some baby action in the next few days Smile

schnitzel big sympathies on the bug, I had similar a couple of weeks ago and felt wretched, since then I've had awful heartburn to the point of being prescribed ranitidine, I guess the bug just irritated the stomach lining too much.

I'm 36+5 and at my 36 week check, doctor said the head was floating freely and not at all engaged. I'm thinking this baby will not be early like DC1 was. Had strep B test and now awaiting result.

I have become obsessed with eating pretzel sticks. I have horrible insomnia and was awake for a 3 hour block in the middle of the night. My pubic bone feels like it will break when I move around in bed. But so near the finish line, the thought of new baby snuggles is keeping me going!

Afreshstartplease · 25/09/2016 07:42

Morning all

36+4

No pains over night and didn't sleep too badly TBH

Need to try and finish my bag today

positivity123 · 25/09/2016 08:46

Morning all. I'm 37+4 today but not really feeling anything. I'm doing last jobs on the house today so a trip to Ikea, putting up mirrors etc. I'm still sleeping quite well but I wake up at 4am with a racing mind. And it takes me an hour or so to drop back off.

Kariana · 25/09/2016 09:18

Huge sympathy to everyone who is in pain or suffering. Hopefully babies will put in an appearance soon.

I had my baby shower yesterday, which was fantastic, but tiring. Got a funeral today, which I'm hoping won't involve too much standing up, though I feel a bit mean saying that about a funeral.

I've become obsessed with eating sugary foods. I'm not usually one for fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolate but I could seriously just eat them all day at the moment. This is bad because I've been like this the last two weeks and according to the scans baby has had a massive growth spurt in that time. If I keep on with all this sugar he'll be huge! Trying to resist the urge!

Afreshstartplease · 25/09/2016 09:52

I've been bad for fizzy drinks for the past few weeks, they make my heartburn awful too! The only drink that doesn't get my heartburn going is water so I try to balance the fizzy out with that, I feel like I crave the sugar to jump start my body when I'm tired

climbingcheesecake · 25/09/2016 09:58

Hi all, sorry it has taken so long to update, our little boy was born on Thursday morning! All well, I won't share birth story details in case anyone doesn't want to hear but it was a natural birth, and managed it without any drugs.

Afreshstartplease · 25/09/2016 10:02

Yay climbing! Congratulations!

How much did he weigh?

Well done on the no drugs, I'm not brave enough to attempt that! Gas and air all the way

LillianFullStop · 25/09/2016 10:19

Congratulations climbing!! Thread baby yay! And all natural without any drugs wow. Meanwhile I am preparing myself to scream/beg/demand an epidural!

Glad you had a nice baby shower kariana.

positivity I'm impressed at you braving an ikea trip and putting stuff up around the house at 37+4! I'm 36w today and bordering on useless at the moment!

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 25/09/2016 11:17

Congratulations climbing!

After the hideousness of gastroenteritis yesterday, I'm feeling much better, just tired and drained. Which isn't good because I have an exam on Tuesday and I need to revise, as well as deal with DS, housework and laundry, packing a hospital bag, and food shopping. I think I need an army of robot helpers!

DerekSprechenZeDick · 25/09/2016 13:12

Congratulations Climbing Flowers

I've been in and out of sleep. Pain in my right side, pelvic region again.

Tightenings occurring but no show or water breaking yet.

Afreshstartplease · 25/09/2016 13:24

No pains at all today

Boring

positivity123 · 25/09/2016 19:47

Hooray Climbing!! Any chance of a pic? I love newborn photos

Blueskygirl30 · 25/09/2016 20:18

Congratulations climbing that's wonderful news. I know you don't want to share your birth story in case anyone doesn't want to hear it but I'm super interested in the start of people's labour, what were you first signs and then how long was it for you before you were in active labour? If you don't mind sharing that info. I hope you and your family are settling in nicely.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 25/09/2016 20:19

Yes if those who have had theirs could mention what they were doing at the time it started it would be appreciated Grin

Haven't had this baby yet but dd1 I had just climbed into bed feeling smug that I had just finished fhe last thing on my to do list ( buy and build the cot) that evening and still had 2 weeks til edd. Lay down in bed and pop.....

Dd2 was induced. I literally tried everything up to that point ( except a few like castor oil)

This time I'll try everything again. They won't induce me so it's go myself or have a cs. 7 pineapples a day? Bring it on ;)

positivity123 · 25/09/2016 21:04

When I went to Ikea today it was like a pregnant woman convention. Every other person was pregnant but I looked the most pregnant of them all! I felt strangly proud, like I'd nearly finished a marathon Grin
