I don't know what I'm doing but seen the message saying another thread was needed. I don't know what to add to this but though.

Erm. I'm Derek btw. 35 week on Thursday and due 6/10/16

Sorry but I have no idea what I'm doing 😂

I've come on for a bit of a whinge too!

34weeks now and this is my last pregnancy so I want to enjoy it. But... Haemoriods, thrush, anemia, dizzy spells, leg cramps, aaaah! Sad

Can hardly keep my eyes open and it's not even 9pm!

I feel so guilty that I can't play properly with or enjoy my other DC. And I keep making silly mistakes at work!

It doesn't feel like things will get much better when the baby is here, either, as its all so exhausting having a newborn.

Sorry for the whinge. Just had to get it out my system!

Onto positive things... Have picked a name and a car seat and just bought the sweetest bedding set. Visited my friend's newborn this morning and got a glimpse of how magical they are.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 17/09/2016 10:44

I woke to a pain in the pelvis/groin region in the early. It was similar to cramp. That was new

Witty I live in fear of a huge baby too so I know how you feel. Maybe this one will be early since it's so big already? Those growth scans are very inaccurate though, I have read at least as couple of stories on mn where they've overestimated by a whole pound.

Nickname sounds like you're having a nightmare. I can barely keep my eyes open till 11am, never mind making it till the evening. I end up napping and then having to force myself to get back out of bed. Feel like it's actually possible I would sleep all day if I didn't force myself not to.

I have bits of baby sticking out around my belly button all the time. Not sure if it's the same baby part and it shifts sides but there's something there sticking out 90% of the time.

Is anyone else getting a weird feeling of pressure in their head when they sit leaning back slightly for any length of time? It makes me feel so ill and uncomfortable. I have to sit bolt upright to stop it!

DerekSprechenZeDick · 17/09/2016 18:53

Not in my head but in my thighs sometimes

And sometimes walking up the stairs my legs feel like they are about to give way

My legs hurt so much sometimes, not even the spd but like the back of my calves. Especially when walking up hill or up the stairs!

climbingcheesecake · 17/09/2016 20:57

I think I know what you mean about the weird pressure thing Kariana. I have been fine on my back until the last couple of weeks and now I can only lie back for a short while before it feels wrong. I guess that is the baby putting pressure on the artery that people talk about.

On another note - over here (france) they are quite serious that you should do perineal massage daily from around 37 weeks - does this get advised too back home?

Afreshstartplease · 17/09/2016 21:26

I've never done it climbing, no mw or anyone has ever mentioned it either and I'm on baby four! I've never torn or needed cutting either

ChatterNatterer · 17/09/2016 22:22

No they never mentioned it to me - I only know from Google and tbh it sounds too much of a faff so I haven't bothered :/

Baby is so active tonight but lots of long ways stretching right into my vaj and my stomach! Very odd!

positivity123 · 18/09/2016 16:50

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I've got one week left at work then I'm off. Can't wait but I actually still feel OK.
I'm feeling really wintery so am making a big beef and already stew and am going to freeze half of it, I want to make sure I've got lots of food in the freezer for when the baby comes.
I went to see Bridget Jones the other day, it was really funny, better than I expected so if anyone has started leave and wants something to take their minds off fanny daggers I recommend it!
I've not massaged my perineum yet but I'm going to give it a go. The way I see it i was designed to have babies a lot younger and as a 32 year old I know everything was a bit more flexible when I was a youngster so it can't hurt Grin

climbingcheesecake · 18/09/2016 16:52

yeah it is a faff! I've just tried it once, and it's really awkward and quite painful in fact. What I have read says that it is painful to begin with but if you persevere then it becomes less.
Fresh I can also relate to painful legs/calves. I have had this since really early on, I was told to wear compression tights at night but they are way too hot and uncomfortable so I just try to shower them in cold water every day. I don't know if it helps but it feels really refreshing!

DerekSprechenZeDick · 18/09/2016 19:45

These braxton hicks are taking the piss today. I got all the Moses basket and cot bedding out to wash and dared to do a bit of shopping

I feel like I have to pay the price for daring to move lately!

LillianFullStop · 18/09/2016 22:10

derek the fanny daggers are getting a bit ridiculous here too. Some just make me slow down and I can walk through it if I go slow and but there are the particularly stabby ones that stop me in my tracks Confused I'm 35w today and still have 2 weeks of work to go I don't know how I will cope!!!

Kariana · 19/09/2016 07:53

35+6 here. I thought baby had turned but if he ever had he's changed his mind and is now completely breech. Only advantage to this is it prevents fanny daggers, but at this point I just want him to turn! Midwife said they'd have to think about turning him, anyone had this done? I've heard horror stories Sad

Going to start that massage as I don't think I'm very stretchy down there and like you positivity think I'm probably worse now I'm older!

Oh and midwife asked if I'd packed my hospital bag and when I said no scolded me like a naughty child. Grin This was before she realised he isn't even partially engaged though so probably less chance he'll be here early with that in mind.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 19/09/2016 09:06

Fanny daggers are on a mission to mess with me today

Stomach has dropped a lot over night. Lots of pressure in vagina and arse today like something is going to drop out.

I darent even cough Grin

Afreshstartplease · 19/09/2016 09:19

I realised on the way to school I was breathing through the fanny daggers and became very self conscious lol hopefully no one noticed . . .

Bloody hot still but I don't know if it's me rather than the weather

My bumps never seem to drop, I went to hospital in labor with DC1+2 in size 8 low cut jeans that were even fastened! 3+4 I have carried slightly lower but still never noticed 3 drop significantly!

LillianFullStop · 19/09/2016 12:20

Oh no kariana it's quite unusual to turn this late isn't it?

Derek are you 37w yet? Maybe things are moving along?

Wow fresh I stopped fitting into my low rise skinny jeans at 22w! not sure I could even get them up my leg now even my maternity jeans are feeling snug. leggings are my friend!

Afreshstartplease · 19/09/2016 12:40

Derek is over 37 I think

She's meant to be due on the 6th (but we have an agreement in place that we will swap due dates) don't forget this Derek

climbingcheesecake · 19/09/2016 13:24

Just got back from a check-up at the hospital - as I'd been leaking bloody/brown liquid overnight, they tested for amniotic fluid and it was negative so the liquid was probably part of the plug. False alarm I guess...

DerekSprechenZeDick · 19/09/2016 17:19

I'm 37 + 4

I've had pains since 12. A few times I've had to stop walking and doubled over slightly.

No fluid leak or show though so fingers crossed she is just burrowing down.

Afreshstartplease · 19/09/2016 18:14

I think baby has gone down further here too. Went to the toilet about 3 and as I sat down felt a load of pressure. Since then I'm on constant fanny daggers and some acheyness really low in bump when I move

DerekSprechenZeDick · 19/09/2016 18:39

That's what I feel like. Just can't get comfortable

OP posts:
Afreshstartplease · 19/09/2016 18:47

I'm OK sat down. It's just when I walk!

I'm only 35+5 though so a bit behind you!

DerekSprechenZeDick · 19/09/2016 19:07

Back pain has started, just a dull ache. The fanny daggers are getting out of hand

OP posts:
Afreshstartplease · 19/09/2016 19:31

Sounds like things could be starting for you Derek how exciting. Are your bags packed?

DerekSprechenZeDick · 19/09/2016 19:33

Erm kind of..

No show or waters though so for now I'm blaming the walking I've done today
