I don't know what I'm doing but seen the message saying another thread was needed. I don't know what to add to this but though.

Erm. I'm Derek btw. 35 week on Thursday and due 6/10/16

Sorry but I have no idea what I'm doing 😂

Thing is though if it's not first baby they can often move in and out!

Kariana · 15/09/2016 21:23

Is anyone else getting ridiculously sentimental? I cry at anything remotely sweet or loving at the moment. Today I nearly cried reading wedding congratulation cards in Tesco, in the end I had to just go with the one in my hand and leave the aisle because the tears were threatening to overflow.

Afreshstartplease · 15/09/2016 21:25

Oh no, I hope I don't start blubbering everywhere ....

DerekSprechenZeDick · 15/09/2016 21:52

I was a wreck yesterday but I went to vets and watched mums 9 year old staffie be put to sleep.

Apart from that nothing, no emotion at all about anything

Yes Kariana! I'm blinking most days watching the Paralympics! And random Facebook videos! I'm a drip since being pregnant!

Kariana · 15/09/2016 22:50

Chatter I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm a huge soppy mess at the moment!

How many weeks are you Beth? Are you still cramping?

DerekSprechenZeDick · 16/09/2016 09:09

I've been having period cramps. Go get seen if you have to.

Managed to sleep on the bed last night but was unsettled and made me rather achey. In a foul mood this morning not helped by the torrential rain on the school run. Got back soaked to find DH just leaving, apparently he'd had a nice shower while I was out!
37 weeks today, never thought I'd actually make it but just want it out now, although ideally not until late tonight as I'm off to see the Bridget Jones film later.

Afreshstartplease · 16/09/2016 11:04

Shame on your dh Havetobe

It hasn't rained since the early hours here but is much much cooler thankfully

Pushing myself to get housework done this morning then hopefully I can get a nap later!

Kariana · 16/09/2016 12:07

Thank goodness it's much cooler here today. Plus I bought some giant size 20 knickers from Tesco yesterday - putting them on was such a relief, no more tight elastic! Not sure what this says about the size of my bum!

After two days of the plumber turning up at 8.30am I thought I was going to get a nice lie in this morning as he said he was coming at 10.30. First a delivery turned up at 7.15am - I went back to bed, but then got disturbed so many times with my phone going off (no one ever rings or texts me - why did everyone choose this morning?!) and finally the plumber turned up at 9.15 whilst I was still in bed, fuming at the world and not having showered. No acknowledgement or apology for being an hour and a quarter early. No time for a nap now he's gone either as I have to catch a train to go to a wedding in an hour. ARGH!

Hope everyone is having cooler weather today - it's supposed to break over the weekend so we might all get some respite next week. Bring on the proper autumn weather! (Never thought I'd say those words Shock)

Bluecarrot · 16/09/2016 15:28

I had some cramping this morning for about 8 hours, after a night of strong BH. I went for a brisk walk (well as brisk as I could) and it calmed down a lot!

Also you need to rule out constipation.

Bluecarrot · 16/09/2016 15:32

What size case has everyone packed? I packed my stuff in packing cubes for handiness, so that might be causing the problem. Or it's the sling and the cloth nappies... But I can't fit everything in a cabin sized case that I usually see people bring in. Maybe they have another post-labour bag still in the car? ( car won't be staying with me so I have to bring everything for labour plus 24 hours)

DerekSprechenZeDick · 16/09/2016 15:34

I'm just using a mamas and papas changing bag. I have a weekend bag if need more space though

Bluecarrot · 16/09/2016 15:36

I must be a serious over packer then! You'd think I had it mastered by my third kid...

DerekSprechenZeDick · 16/09/2016 15:39

I don't know how much to take. I didn't have one with the first born.

OP posts:
derryjojo · 16/09/2016 15:46

I've packed a lightweight cabin suitcase. Most of it has been taken up with a thick dressing gown so might just take that out. I've packed a small bag in case I'm in for more than 24 hours, but that can stay in the car.

Bluecarrot · 16/09/2016 15:56

Going to repack without packing cubes and see how I go. Love how organised it looks right now though Figured would be easy for someone else to find stuff if I do end up with cs ( looking more and more likely Sad )

ThinkOfAWittyNameLater · 16/09/2016 17:15

I usually lurk here but I'm a bit shaken & could do with some tough love or something.

I'm 33+5 and went to a growth scan today. Baby is already measuring 6lb 5oz. I'm seriously freaking out. Logically I know their estimates are notoriously inaccurate and they err on higher weights.

But fuck me I'm carrying a bloody giant baby! How the hell am I going to get him out? I've still got three weeks left at work and he's only going to get bigger. The SPD already kills me & carpal tunnel tingling has started plus low level of liver problems.

I hate being pregnant.

Please tell me I'm just panicking & all will be well.

Figgygal · 16/09/2016 17:27

Witty I had a 9lb+ baby last time trust me they still come out I've been told to expect the same or bigger with this one .......not a lot we can do is there unfortunately

I've been feeling like there's a big weight that wants to push through my pelvic floor today big fanny daggers too and my legs and ankles are swollen going out for a friends birthday tonight to some posh restaurant I'll see what maternity tent I can squeeze into Sad

ThinkOfAWittyNameLater · 16/09/2016 17:52

Thanks Figgy. I guess as my first was only 7lb 13oz at 41w, and this one has been around 50th centile until now, I thought I'd have an 8-pounder.

I hope you manage to enjoy tonight. Fanny daggers are bloody hideous.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 16/09/2016 17:58

He movements are causing me to be extremely uncomfortable. I don't know what she's doing but it involves pushing into my left side and pushing down on my bladder/pubic region

The fanny daggers are getting ridiculous and today I got them in my arse cheek!

Afreshstartplease · 16/09/2016 19:41

With you on the uncomfortable movements Derek. I keep getting a massive hard lump sticking out of me !
