Morning everyone well I guess we are going to have baby number 4 today (maybe number 5 as I am guessing that no news from smudge is good news!), thinking of you bubble, hope it's all a piece of cake for you.

Well DH finally got up at gone 11 on Sunday, however he did make a good effort for the rest of the day, crib is now together and at the side og the bed, DD decided she wanted to sleep in it, arghhh the frustration, that child never slept in a cot or a crib, only in our bed till she was 18 months old then moved into her own bed in her room, now she thinks both the cot and crib look great and keeps wanting to go in them and demanding a blanket!!

On Sunday evening I took DS to his swimming lesson and because of the spd was shuffling along, managed to not lift my feet enough to trip on the edge of a mat and go over on my ankle making my spd agony, feel like I have pulled my whole pelvic floor and have a constant burning sensation there, have managed too get an urgent physio referal so waiting to see if they can do anything.

Hope everyone else is bearing up ok, x

suis · 06/02/2007 07:37

yep... good luck bubblebell, we'll look forward to your announcement.

Snugglebum - jesus, you aren't having a very good time of it are you ? Hope the physio can help...

time4tea · 06/02/2007 08:07

poor old Snugglebum, I have SPD too and found the physio excellent. although with DS romping about, finding it hard to get the exercises done consistently that she recommended (mainly pelvic floor and that pilates stability stomach move)

Sympathise too with the DH getting on with it problem - I ended up getting very peeved about the general lack of progress (although in fairness to him it was all due to having no-one to help us move a sofa, but it was still me ringing round all my friends ) We did have an (eventually) sensible conversation about it and agreement to move forward on key priorities (ie baby stuff first, not the new computer . So hard though with DS to deal with, especially in super-whingy mode.

I was also tempted to cry and/or throw gigantic wobbler. the funny thing is that before i had DS, I was pretty slack about mess etc, now I am pretty strick esp. on kitchen cleaning, and these nesting hormones have been absolutely inescapable.('you are completely manic' moans DH

hey guys just to let u know that i had my baby girl on sunday the 28th jan was early not due till the 14th feb but all well came home the next day baby tilly 6lbs exactly bit small but that is cause she is so early had her natrually i did tear but not to bad good luck everyone that is still waiting will try and get on again soon xxx

leahsmum · 06/02/2007 08:45

Good luck bubblebell!! Hope all is going well for smudgemum.

Sorry to hear bout every1 else's aches and pains - not had much time last few days to post on here so just flicking through for quick catch up.

I'm back at hospital for day care assessment on BP again today (the joys!). Useless mw still hasnt done my birthplan with me (obviously doesnt realise I'm due in 8 days - might just spring the idea of homebirth on her see if she likes that! lol - pity the thought terrifies the life out of me).
Phoned her this morning as she was emant to come out today but hosp have changed plans so im there 2day instead - did leave a msg with her office on Fri to let her know but she obv didnt feel the need to ring back and acknowledge it or to re-arrange - must be hoping this lo arrives before she actually has to do some work. My mw with dd was absolutely fantastic and this one is just so lazy and unhelpful it is unbelievable!! Anyway plan is she will phone on Thurs am and arrange a time to come out on Thurs to do birthplan - not sure she couldnt just have arranged a time on the phone this morning and if anything changes then sure she could rub me out of her diary!

Sorry about the long pointless rant - just had to get that off my chest!!

On a better note - been having lots of backache since 5am. Thats where my pain started with dd - though i was induced and they told me that was the prostin pain at the time however my back was really the only painful place (apart from the obvious) during the entire labour. Hopefully today may be my day. (wishful thinking i know)

leahsmum · 06/02/2007 08:47

cross posted becs21. Congratulations!!!! Tilly - that is a lovely name. My dd was 4 days early and she was only 6lb too - she will soon catch up.

I'm so jealous - I'm due on 14th Feb too!

becs21 · 06/02/2007 09:00

thanks she is already bigger i think its amazing how much they can change ur life this is first time for me but loving it good luck for the 14th xx

leahsmum · 06/02/2007 09:03

Thanks - hopefully it'll all be over by the 14th and I'll have my little bundle by then. DD was telling my bump this morning that he/she had to come out cos she is fed up waiting. lol If only it was that easy.

peachygirl · 06/02/2007 09:07

good morning Congratulations Becs 21!!

becs21 · 06/02/2007 09:11

bless her if only it was that easy alot of hard work to get the lo here xx

ja9 · 06/02/2007 09:27

congrats Becs - lovely news!

last night good friends hosted a surprise baby shower for me - lovely time and i feel thoroughly spoilt!

however i've just had the worst night of my pregnancy so far. felt sick all through night and hugely umcomfortable. was finally sick about 6am. felt very sorry for myself! obliging ds slept on (or rather lay in bed) until i went and got him at 9am. Which was quite something considering he was asleep by 6:30pm last night! i've nibbled some ginger biscuits and feel ok now. but please please let this baby come soon. i cannot wait until 24th...

ok whinge over for now. !!

mears · 06/02/2007 09:31

Leahsmum - why don't you ask the midwives in Daycare to go over your birthplan with you today? That will kill 2 birds with one stone - saves you hanging around on Thursday.

Tommy · 06/02/2007 09:41

Congrats becs!
Well done - and a beautiful name too

Bienchen · 06/02/2007 09:59

Congrats Becs!!! Looking forward to the birth announcement thread...

Wonder how Bubblebell and the Smudges are getting on.

suzi2 · 06/02/2007 10:03

Congratulations Becs.

have a funny feeling I might jump the queue . After my niggly day yesterday I started with very uncomfy BHs about 9pm... every 5 mins lasting about 40 seconds. 2 hours later I was thinking "this is it" as they got sorer. But they kept on like that, regular as clockwork, until about 4am. Then started to come and go as they pleased. Absolutely shattered now - if this is anything like DS I'll do this for a couple of days before anything kicks off.

Had a full on show this morning though and a few whopping contractions. But nothing more. MIL is over to take care of DS today so I'm going to lounge with some lucozade

MoosMa · 06/02/2007 10:36

Congratulations becs, Tilly is a lovely name!

Hope things kick off for you soon suzi2, if you go quiet for a while we'll all be expecting some news!

sorkycake · 06/02/2007 11:08

Congrats to becs, well done!
I'm due today! Hurrah!
Had a HUGE show this morning all bloody, m/w not impressedin the least. Gimme a break woman! I've never had one before .
Got some BH going on, lots of downward pressure when walking about, had period type cramps before/after the show, and query a bit of a leak so had to ring m/w. Told to pop a pad on and keep active, see if it is a leak, but it's not 'cos 2 hours later the pad is bone dry, thank God.
So really apart from my HUUUGE bloody show, nada.
Suzi2 don't you dare have your baby before me. I shall be most displeased.

suzi2 · 06/02/2007 11:40

Same boat Sorky... things have calmed right down for me. My show with DS was so bloody it terrified me and I had to go to the labour ward at 5am to get checked lol. He was born 22 hours later... You're VERY welcome to go before me. I don't have the energy for it!

sorkycake · 06/02/2007 11:49

Thank you, get back in line you...you queue jumper you.
Have cleaned up house and done washing, kids are out with my sister, Dh at work, this is a very unusual situation for me. The house is eerily quiet. Wiggling on birthball to try and get baby to shift downwards.
M/w says could still be days yet, everyone else who has had a show that I know and have spoke to says it was within 24 hours!. I wonder who's right?

peachygirl · 06/02/2007 11:58

sorry to add to your impatience but remember I had a smallish show last monday!
I am currently in the middle of a big tidy in our room I have just set the moese basket up (gulp) time for us (and the cat) to get used to it I think.

peachygirl · 06/02/2007 12:02

yours does sound more promising though. I've pput mine down to baby's bony bum!
Sorry terrible spelling in last post (moses)

sorkycake · 06/02/2007 12:03

Oh no I had completely forgot about that Peachy. Oh well, another week til my sweep. Sitting on stoopid ball atm willing pain on myself, that's how bad it got! LOL.
I wonder if MrsJ got here reassurance about the growth of her bub and the placental flow.

Alocin · 06/02/2007 12:05

Congratulations Becs - Tilly is such a pretty name!

LOL at all of you and your shows! Am jealous - apart from the 2 stone lump on the front of me, I've had no signs that anything is near - I'll have to be sedated if I go overdue, I'll be so cross!

sallyn · 06/02/2007 12:09

Congratulations to those who have had their babies and those who are starting to get some signs.

I'm at 40+3 but nothing significant to report... going slightly stir crazy and getting more uncomfortable by the day. I seem to have lots of energy though, so just swam 50 lengths at the gym then pottered round my favourite buggy-unfriendly shops until my feet started giving out. I have eaten three pineapples, drunk buckets of raspberry leaf tea - and even managed a couple of pash sessions with my fella, strictly in the name of getting things moving you understand, although actually quite enjoyable, especially as we probably won't have time or energy for that kind of thing for a while! Anybody got any other tips???

MrsJ · 06/02/2007 12:44

Hi Sorky! Exciting stuff for you!! bit jealous! lol
I have another hospital appointment tomorrow for another doppler thing and growth scan, almost preparing myself to hear a completely different story yet again as that seems to be the trend lol
As far as I can tell, if things stay as they are they're happy to leave things, theyre just keeping check nothing gets worse... I think anyway. But wouldn't want to say for sure lol

I'm now 39+2 weeks so hoping it will all be taken out of their hands anyway soon, the weekly appointments and daily kick charts are really making time fly, almost forget how close I am, then have scary moments that I realise lol
