andyrobo237 · 14/02/2007 18:56

we are doing ok but thomas is struggling with sugar levels so is in scbu. prob back tomorrow

ChaCha · 14/02/2007 19:24

let us know how you are both doing if you can andyrobo - thinking of you.

MoosMa · 14/02/2007 19:58

Congratulations bunny and andyrobo - hope Thomas is better soon.

Been to see the midwife today (I'm 39+4) and all is still ok, LO is now LOL - horray! All I have to do now is keep her there then pop her out. I'm having a sweep on Tuesday if I haven't had it by then (ha!). Having her in a sensible postion is making such a difference to my comfort, I keep forgetting I even have a bump and half my aches and pains have gone away. Also I seem to have loads of energy - I actually skipped along the road today . If only pregnancy was always this nice, I'd be having dozens!

marmitemad · 14/02/2007 20:21

Andyrobo, Sorry to hear about Thomas, hope he's feeling better soon and out of scbu.
BTW, Currantbun has just posted on the January "due in Feb07" thread.

SmudgeMum · 14/02/2007 20:24

Congrats Andyrobo and Bunny. Hope Thomas is out of SCBU soon and you can get home. Hope that Valentines Day went well for all. It's been very quiet on here today - only took me a few minutes to catch up after being away all day. Perhaps you're all being treated to lovely pamper sessions and spoilt rotten by DPs. Hope appointment goes well tomorrow Alocin - stick to your guns, you are more than a statistic Good luck to the CS for tomorrow and anyone where things start to happen.

babydrivertoo · 14/02/2007 21:55

Ooooh lots more babies since I last had the chance to look in. Hope the rest arrive safely and soon. All going well with us.

leahsmum · 14/02/2007 22:02

Congratulations to Andyrobo and Bunny!! Hope little Thomas is out of SCBU soon.

Well after my sweep yesterday I'm still here, due today and still no baby. Was hoping it would decide to come before induction tomorrow. Really anxious about it now - not really sure why. I had a successful induction at 39+4 with DD so surely higher chance of success at 40+1? Just feel really uptight tonight. My auntie treated my mum, myself and dd to lunch today and we spent the afternoon going round the shops so I am totally exhausted tonight - just stopped ironing for 10 mins to pop on here.
Need to finish up and go and try and get some sleep as unlikely to get any tomorrow night - or for the next few months for that matter!! At least I know that by Friday at the latest I should have had my LO. If pessary doesnt start labour then consultant looking to break my waters on Friday morning. Here's hoping I go tonight and avoid being induced at all!!
Sorry about the rant about nothing - I am really emotional and anxious tonight and DP just doesnt seem to understand at all - cant see hwat the fuss is all about!! Honestly!

ChaCha · 15/02/2007 05:16

Hi Leahsmum - Fingers crossed for induction, hopefully LO will be with you shortly Had similar sort of evening and have been like it for a while, all over the place, up and down. DH thinks it's v.amusing!!! Would also like to see DH survive the day with a toddler on something like 3 hours sleep - humph!

Should congratulate myself, have been asleep for 4.5 hours tonight.....whoooooooo!

Good luck for today's sections girls x

Bienchen · 15/02/2007 05:29

Congrats to Sallyally, Bunny and Andyrobo. Hope that Thomas' blood sugar picks up quickly!

Had a rotten night and could not sleep, so will function on three hours sleep today. No jokes about preparation for the next few months, please.

Bump is so low now that I think I out to wear braces to stop my mat. trousers from falling down... otherwise no signs of an early (???) appearance. I think mine will be an Easter bunny and by the time I get to post a birth announcement yours will be crawling and talking...

Hope that all the sections schedules for today go well and look forward to more exciting news.

SmudgeMum · 15/02/2007 07:32

Morning early birds, hope you got all your jobs done. I think I am well and truly addicted to MN. I would prefer to come on here for half an hour with a cup of tea than go and snatch half an hour in bed when DS is asleep!! He had a great night, fed at 10, 1, 5, 7 and slept the whole time in between. How do you bottle the magic? Hope the induction works first time Leahsmum. Bienchen I've still got problems with trousers now because all my maternity ones are too big and just fall down and no way do I fit in my normal trousers. Builders bums are the way forward
Don't clean too hard anyone. Labour vibes coming your way!

Tommy · 15/02/2007 09:41

Morning! No romantic evening for us as I went to bed at 8pm thinking that I was in labour - I wasn't .
Felt really sick and quite a lot of Branstons and period pain type things but they didn't ever get going or become regular.

Supposed to be going out for a pizza tonight with some girlfriends so maybe that will get the baby moving!

Good luck everyone - specially leahsmum - don't envy you being induced but I hope it all goes well anyway

DrJo · 15/02/2007 10:25

Hi all - Many congrats to Andyrobo and Bunny 3 - Hope Thomas gets out of SCBU soon - Wonder what has happened to Peachgirl and Snugglebunny?

My sympathies to the other overdues - I'm already getting fed up with the "are you still pregnant" comments - I'm only 2 days over and DS was 2 week's late and even then did not come out willingly - failed induction and Em CS . Anyone though of any witty replies I can use?

Going for a sweep tomorrow if they can do one - They tried with DS but couldn't do one. Any tips from those who have already had one? How many times will they repeat it if it doesn't work first time?

Good luck to ChaCha and Julezboo for your CS tomorrow

ChaCha · 15/02/2007 11:55

I had much of the same Tommy, went out for a drive with DH and did a bit of crying and vomiting...v.strange! Was convinced i wasn't going to last until the morning. Ended up having a bath at 6am and reading a book before DS woke up! Fingers crossed for you.

Smudgemum - Sounds bliss.

DrJo - Best of luck to you, I had the exact same happen with DS last year so have opted for an elective tomorrow. Hope the sweep does the trick!

Feeling very, very strange today, being sick A LOT and have little energy, think a lot of it is a mixture of nerves and excitement though. My mum is finishing off some chores and i'm going to watch a film and relax. DS is being a good little boy and playing happily

Very nervous but excited cha x

Tommy · 15/02/2007 13:07

DrJo - I'm getting to the point where a snarl serves the purpose of what to say when people ask me if I've had the baby yet.

I really am getting very humourless about it now.....

julezboo · 15/02/2007 14:01

Hey girls, bumps and lo's!!

Congrats to those who have had their babies!!

ChaCha - i didnt realise we were going in the same day!! Good luck for tomorrow!

I too have been cleaning everything in sight, whilst giving DP strict instructions LOL! Thought labour was imminent last night the pains were awful! Still there today but less noticable, just hanging on now for tomorrow! I keep looking at his crib thinking "awww a real baby will be in there in a few days" LOL Still feels surreal after so many losses, but we're nearly there!!!!

Rechecked my bags, packed coming home bag for DP to bring in, hes in the bath now then he will clean the car out and we have to go the tip. Mother should be here soon too Cant believe how fast its come round.!

Good luck to everyone. I will get DP to post when he can!

love to all x x x x

MoosMa · 15/02/2007 14:01

No one seems to notice my bump, in Asda I got my trolley shoved into me this morning by a scowling woman - if I'd had the energy I'd have chased after her and run her heels over! I think because DD was 2 weeks late nobody I know is bothering to ask about this one, they all seem to be assuming it'll be late too, mind you it's only got 2 days left to be early!

Bouncyminky · 15/02/2007 14:29

Just popping in quickly to say that we had a baby girl on Sunday 11th (2 days overdue) at 11.30am after a 10 and a half hour labour at home!! We've called her Elizabeth Anne and I will post on the birth stories web in the next week. She was 6lb 7 and a half ounces.

Just trying to get to grips now with what to do with her now she is out!

So relieved that it has actually happened. Hang in there girls and good luck to you all who are still waiting.

time4tea · 15/02/2007 15:28

hello all and congrats to new babies... I'm in the last days before CS on Monday. DS (normally full of beans) is laid up on the sofa with a bad cold and temperature, so I can take it a bit easy at seeming like someone who welcomes child being ill.... but it has been great to take it all a bit easier, I might even get a sit down this afternoon. Some way to go still with arranging of baby's room and last-min cleaning, but everything I was strung out about has been done, so I feel much less deranged than before.

was reading a BF book and remembering how difficult I found it all last time (ended up pumping milk for 4 months no way that can happen this time... the thought of having a small baby still seems so unreal, even though people around me are getting really excited. My preggy-brain has reached new heights - have wandered round the house to do things so often today and completely forgotten what I was supposed to be doing there...

SmudgeMum · 15/02/2007 18:51

Good luck for tomorrow ChaCha and Julezboo. Take your time recuperating but we'll want to hear your news asap Congratulations Bouncyminky - look forward to reading your story. Time4tea, make sure you find the time to take it easy. Like you say, you'll be busy once you've got the new LO.
DH wants his laptop, doesn't he know that I've got chatting to do!

Coriander73 · 15/02/2007 19:35

Sorry to invade but any news on Peachy?? We were on the trying for a BPF Jan 2006 thread...

RubyandOscarsmummy · 15/02/2007 19:49

Congrats to all with new babies and good luck to the sections booked!
I am due tomorrow and getting very fed up (aren;t we all!). I can't believe I'm back here again (dd 2 weeks late)and still don't know how to put it to the back of my mind - the mantra of he'll come when he's ready is wearing very thin! And if one more person says 'still here then?' I'm going to kill them!

And I'm not overdue yet!!!

marmitemad · 15/02/2007 20:42

Hi everyone,
Congratulations to Bouncyminky.
Had a busy but non productive day today. Got up early (at 8:15am ) to go to ante-natal aquarobics which was then found to be cancelled due to half term . Popped into work to see everyone and ended up staying for over 2 hours, had a bizzare conversation with one of people covering my job.
Him : "I'm not coping"
Me : thinking whats that got to do with me? but suggested he talk to manager.
Him : "I was wondering if you could spare me a 1/2 day to go over some things"
Me : Sorry, Have you forgotten something? I am about to have a baby & have other more important things to prepare for.
DH went bananas and has now banned me from visiting anymore, saying I will have to meet friends in pub.
Went to hospital for clinic appointment with consultant. Dr happy to see me next week (41+1) without any intervention at the moment (although she nearly laughed when I told her about the induction acupunture) but BP very high, so sent up to DAU for monitoring and blood tests again.
Finally allowed home after 5 hours monitoring and blood tests came back clear for PE but have to return on Saturday.
Am now off to eat some more pineapple
