congrat ruthie!! Well done honey!

ChaCha - Im in south wales. 5 more sleeps till I get to meet my baby

If you want to keep in touch with me chacha my email address is [email protected], drop me an email whenever!

We spent the day decorating DS's room, didnt want him feeling left out and have also bought him a new bed with a tent and a slide, but annoyingly once we had all the pieces laid out we realised there was no bloody screws GRRRR!! Could be 21 days now till its up. Present from the new baby too!

Hope everyone else is well?

My tightenings are still pretty much the same, also bp is a little raised but Im back at cardiff tomorrow for monitering.

Night all x x

Tommy · 11/02/2007 22:10

Hi all and congratulations to tutti and ruthie
Smudgemum - the pics are gorgeous - still can't quite believe I'm going to have one a bit like that so soon!
Empathy andyrobo on the DH thing - mine has been driving me mad this weekend as has my Mum who keeps phoning me to ask if I've had the baby yet or am I in labour...
Good luck overnight everyone - tonight would not be a good time for me as we are camping over in the spare room again awaiting the new carpet for our bedroom tomorrow and there's not much space for me to walk around - never mind me, DH and a midwife!

snugglebumnappies · 11/02/2007 22:29

Just back from a lovely soak in the pool having watched Top Gear (nearly laughed the baby out!) and the end of Cocktail in there, mmm very nice, am really pleased it's up as the warm water really helps the SPD. It all feels a bit sureal though, is that really where I am going to be having my baby (at some point in the next year!), wow.

Oh and thanks for the congrats on my link, yipeee it worked, that was ten times more painful for me than labour ever has been!

Hope there are some more babies to check in in the morning, but not for Tommy. Though wouldn't you prefer getting it over before your new carpet arrives??!

suzi2 · 12/02/2007 05:49

Baby girl born at 3:25am, 7lb 7oz. Born at home as planned. I'll pop the details on announcements. But it was all good.

snugglebumnappies · 12/02/2007 07:13

Congratulations Suzi2, glad you got your homebirth and the pre labour pains didn't drag on any longer!

leahsmum · 12/02/2007 07:52

Congratulations Suzi2 - posted on your other thread.

Looks like we should def have a few new arrivals this week - fingers crossed! Cadbury - you still with us?

peachygirl · 12/02/2007 08:18

Congratulations suzi2 A big welcome to your lttle girl.

SmudgeMum · 12/02/2007 09:24

Snugglebumnappies You've got the link sorted!! I think that is my next challenge now I've mastered the photos!
Moosma at you getting a needle for your Birthday. I hope that's not the only thing! Or maybe I've read it wrong and you're getting new jeans?

Congrats Suzi2 - glad it all went to plan. All still quiet from Cadbury and the Sally's so maybe things have happened there. Good luck for today qsack. I hope your carpet gets fitted alright Tommy. I guess you're not going to dare go in that room in case your waters break!
All of you due at the end of the month, it won't be long now - we're nearly half way through. And just think, you still have the chance of being early
Can't wait to hear about more babies!

Tommy · 12/02/2007 09:53

congrats suzi2 - will find the other thread and read gory details!
thanks all for comments re our new carpet - we did um and ah about when to get it but not sure I could face the hassle of moving everything out again (inc baby and "stuff") afterwards!
I have a waterproof undersheet, 2 packets of disposable bed sheet nappy things, a tarpaulin, an old shower curtain and plenty of towels..... should be enough surely?!

Cadbury · 12/02/2007 10:00

sorry. nothing exciting to tell you all. have had random tighenings and the odd strong one but nothing else - it feels like everything has stopped completely. Is it possible to do the opposite of dilate once things have started? Got a horrible feeling things are going to close up again and I'll grow a new plug

And just to top up my anxiety levels, oiuor roof is leaking again - and this morninig, its the turn of the leak above oiur bed that drips down the light fitting. I could really do without this.

Better go and do something constructive (dh gone back to work and the kids are off on half term).

Many congrats to suzii btw - well done you.

ChaCha · 12/02/2007 10:02

Oh Congratulations Suzi What fantastic news! Congrats to the Suzi2 family x

Julezboo - Will email you today if that's okay. DH is from S.Wales too!

RubyandOscarsmummy · 12/02/2007 10:14

Hi all and apologies for lurking and not getting a chance to post (my dd is apt at turning off the pc when I'm halfway through a post so I have long since given up - thought I'd have a go this morning as she is with in-laws!)

Have been reading everyone's progress with excitement - makes me realise I really am about to have another baby too! Well done to all those who've mad it through to the other side already, sympathies with those waiting (am am anticipating being very late with this baby too (dd 10 days late plus the fact that my very much wanted birth centre will not accpet me if I go too overdue...so sods law comes into play!)

I am suffering with an awful chest infection, coughing like a trooper and totally blocked up so I suppose I ought to be wuite glad I'm not in labour yet!

Julezboo - I am in S Wales too (Swansea) and due on the same day (although I guess with a section booked odds are you will have your baby way before me!!) Are you near by?

Anyway best wishes to all
(Have changed my name in anticipation!!) x

hairycaterpillar · 12/02/2007 10:20

congratulations hairy caterpillar. This is all getting very exciting.
Nothing to report with me except I had a terrible night, slept on the sofa as I just could not settle in bed.
I have a list of jobs to do ,nothing massive, emails and the such like and am contemplating a walk to put Dh's prescription in at the doctors but feel a bit blah so could go in the car.... or just stay in my Pjs

suis · 12/02/2007 11:15

Andyrobo ! Much as I wish it were me who produced a wee girl this morning, sadly it was not.

Suzi2 - Huge congratulations, so glad it all went to plan for you after all that stop start stuff.

Congrats too to HairyCaterpillar & Ruthie (I can hardly keep up these babies are coming in so fast !)

I'm still hanging in here, now 40+1, well hacked off and feeling more like Michelinwummin by the day. I'm getting really bored with being pregnant now. I can't hardly walk, bend, sleep, sit, anything really... only comfortable bouncing on my ball, and that's not moving anything. Tried all the usual help along things (except the fun one, DP looked a little ill at the suggestion and carefully avoided any situations where I might try and jump him) but all to no avail. Sweep booked for Thursday, so maybe that will do something.

suzi2 · 12/02/2007 11:17

Congratulations HairyCaterpillar! Andyrobo... you've confused me with Suis again... sorry.

Cadbury - sending you huge hugs. I can honestly say that I thought that my false labour was doing nothing - both times, with DS and this time. But rest assured all those pains weren't in vain. Really hope that you're halfways there (at least!) and when it does happen things will move fast.

ja9 · 12/02/2007 12:13

congrats to ruthie and suzi. lovely news. off to search for suzis homebirth story,

but before i do

congrats to hairycaterpiller!! i know you you sly dog!!!! did you know i was me? you rascal?! can't wait to meet your lo!

Cadbury · 12/02/2007 12:16

Thanks suzi2 - that is my hope but eve with constant tihtenings, I feel sure that if my lovely midwife checked again now, that iI would only be 3 cms still.

soundbites · 12/02/2007 12:25

Morning ladies

Just to let you know that I gave birth to the most gorgeous little girl at 11.15pm on Weds 7 Feb. She is called Isla Maisie and weighed 6 pounds 3 ounces.

The birth was a bit frightening because the birthing centre I was hoping to go to kept on refusing to believe that I was in as advanced a state of labour as I was and I ended up getting to the pushing stage on my own over a birthing ball using TENS and was being told that I was just about half way, and perhaps call again in an hour to see if it was time to come in. I thought that if this pain was only half way then I was in trouble! Then it seemed to abate and I went to the loo because I thought I needed to push, waters went etc. and we frantically drove to the hospital, 10 mins away. The birthing centre had finally got their act together and told the hospital to be ready for us. I was rushed through the A&E entrance on a stretcher and upstairs to the delivery suite where there was a team waiting for me and baby Isla was born 15-20 mins later. But she is just wonderful and worth every second of it all.

xxx
