Congrats SHHHH and Sorky.
SHHHH - I'm too nosy to wait so will have to read your other post now.
I had some mild bleeding late last night after spending the evening bouncing on the ball, definately not enough for a show so think it was my cervical erosion again - have decided not to ring hospital unless it carries on.
woke up this morning after a fitful nights sleep with really bad stomach cramps and as usual feeling sick and with upset tummy. have taken 2 paracetamol which seems to have helped but can't get back to sleep.
having a lazy day at home alone as dh is helping friends move house, and hoping to make it to theatre to see swan lake on ice tonight.
we have come to a prelim agreement/compromise on a girls name but are still "debating" the boys names, although will wait until LO arrival for final decision.

MoosMa · 10/02/2007 16:44

Is nobody around? Don't tell me everyone's off having their babies...

andyrobo237 · 10/02/2007 17:11

We know we are having a boy here - so that is another one for the list!

Congrats to the new bubas - may there be more everyday - hopefully those at the top of the 'waiting list' are soon to have their turn!

I have been really uncomfortable these last few days - dd off on half term now, so pretty shattered looking after her!

Tommy · 10/02/2007 17:12

I'm here MoosMa
very uncomfortable and tired though as I keep waking every 2 hours or so in the night to go to the loo

peachygirl · 10/02/2007 17:44

Hi all I'm around too, we're having girl too so that will be another to add to the list later this week.
Everything fine with me, been to the cinema again, trying to see everything we want to before the big day

qsack · 10/02/2007 20:31

it's so quiet out here tonight! just had a lovely long bath, washed hair etc, etc. so nice to do it and take my time without the kids wanting me! so now i'm all ready to go into labour!

ruthie21 · 10/02/2007 22:53

hi ladies
just popping on to say i think i might be jumping the line so sorry to those overdue!had contractions for 3 hours now just 3 mins apart so waiting till unbearable before we go in

MrsJ · 10/02/2007 22:56

good luck Ruthie21!

ja9 · 10/02/2007 22:59

good luck ruthie!!

i'm all for queue jumpers....

hotmama · 10/02/2007 23:04

Just a blatant jump in.

My dd2 was 1 today - so was thinking of you all and remembering what it was like.

Hope you have as fab a postnatal thread as the Feb 06 one is.

Best of luck to everyone - looking forward to all your birth announcements.

(Also it's rubbish that 2nd babies come earlier - my dd1 was 9 days late and my dd2 was 12 days - just started before I was due to be induced!)

forgottenfreetime · 10/02/2007 23:14

Hi all good luck ruthie. Isn't the thread getting exciting now everyone is pretty much due or over! I'm torn between wanting my bed and staying up a little longer to see what happens!

leahsmum · 10/02/2007 23:31

Hi folks I'm still here too!

Hope things have/are kicking off your you Sallys and Cadbury and any other overdues. I'm not due til Wednesday and already getting v impatient - mind you been like that all week, just getting really fed up now. Not many babies in my family go to term - just mine it seems!! Not that I'm complaining about baby being full term right enough - just wouldnt mind a few days early. MW finally arrived this morning and did my birth plan!! Thank goodness I wont c her now till after baby is born. Will def consider requesting at hospital for another mw postnatally where possible. Dont think she had even bothered to put a brush through her hair this am and she never even washed her hands after testing my urine!! Will def be making sure she washes her hands b4 and after my postnatal checks and babies! How filthy - no wonder we have the likes of mrsa spreading in hospitals!
I mentioned to her that doc said about examining me on Tuesday at daycare and she said he will prob be looking to do a membrane sweep if possible. Any1 know how successful this is? Doesnt look like they're going to let me go overdue anyway b'cos of bp and history of pre eclampsia in first preg.

ruthie21 · 10/02/2007 23:41

thanks ladies
still bearable (just)but don't think we will stay home for much longer hopefully be home with lo tom.

leahsmum · 10/02/2007 23:57

hope this is the real thing for you Ruthie - cant wait to read your birth announcement!

suis · 10/02/2007 23:57

It's all go tonight... v. exciting ! Hope it all goes well for you Ruthie... I'm ever so jealous...tomorrow is my official due date and despite being soooooooo convinced I was going to go off early the LO is still very comfy where it is and showing no signs of shifting. It's going to have to be dragged out at this rate. Boooo !

OP posts:
leahsmum · 11/02/2007 00:09

I was convinced last night was my night - so disappointed to wake up in my own bed this morning. Not sure why but the dates 7th and 10th have been in my head for a couple of weeks and now both have passed - totally gutted. Mayb tonight will be the night. Here's hoping as my dad is away on business from Monday to Wednesday and I know he'll be devastated if he doesnt see his new grandchild right away.

suzi2 · 11/02/2007 03:28

good luck Ruthie! Another night of niggling for me, hence being on here at all hours. Have finally got out of bed to time the BHs/contractions and guess what? They've stopped I think! Ho hum...

sallyn · 11/02/2007 04:16

Suis - hopefully you're tucked up and asleep now and not around to read this.

Ruthie's probably gone in now, and hopefully the other Sally's really getting down to it.

Thanks for all the vibes you've been sending us girls, it seems to be working... had a big show yesterday morning (yukky-looking but fascinating) and it's still going on a bit now. not much in the way of pains yet, but I assume a bit of low backache and sporadic period-esque pains must mean things are getting under way?

I suppose the best thing about being overdue is that you really welcome any pain you get (although I'm sure that novelty will wear off pretty fast!).

x

Bouncyminky · 11/02/2007 07:19

Well I had a lot of KNUF's last night and a very wriggly baby. Went to bed at midnight.

Then woke up at 2 with contractions and have been going ever since. Managed to stay in bed until around half five - waking DH up every time I had some pain with my heavy breathing! And I think I must have been to the toilet every 40 minutes.

Ohh.. there's another one......

Having them roughly every 6 minutes at the moment so still a way to go - I've sent DH back to bed for a while so he can wait on me hand and foot later!!

suzi2 · 11/02/2007 09:07

Still contracting... timing is variable I think. Was really sure this was it and that during the night I was in a lot of pain. Pooing every 20 mins too! But once daylight came and DH and I got chatting things weren't as bad. Some are very sore - gasping can't breathe sort for a minute. Others are mild, more like painful/pressured BHs and last 30 seconds. I guess this is pre/early labour... had this for days with DS!

Now, do I rest up? Or get active? I feel nauseous with being tired but know I won't sleep through them.

MoosMa · 11/02/2007 09:50

I got very excited last night on my way to bed, I had 2 huge contractions very close together. They were the sort that knock your breath out and I had to lean on the banisters and breeeeeeeeeeathe. Got into bed and had another one, then........... nothing. Oh well, I have 6 days till EDD anyway so I suppose I can't get too impatient!

Leahsmum, I think sweeps vary in effectiveness, as far as I know, the nearer you are to starting naturally the less painful and more useful it is. I had one at 41+2 with DD which was very painful and I had a show 3 days later but nothing else. If you're nearly there anyway it could just give you the extra push to get going!

julezboo · 11/02/2007 10:30

Morning ladies!!

Sorry not many of you got sleep! Hope the real thing kicks off soon for you all!

Well nookie didnt work Except for giving me short sharp pains in my nether regions lol! Least DP enjoyed it!

Slept a bit better last night BH's are still coming regular though x x

Labour vibes to all xx

peachygirl · 11/02/2007 11:21
