Hopefully with better hair Charly!

CatalinaFuckingWineMixer · 11/09/2016 09:10

super imagine if babies actually looked like the things they're compared to! I'm 16 weeks and this charming little creature is apparently growing away inside me 😱

I have that to look forward to on Wednesday Catalina! Scary!

SuperDuperJezebel · 11/09/2016 09:55

Excellent, that'll be me on Friday. I keep worrying, what if my baby is ugly but I'm deluded and think it's the most gorgeous thing ever. DH keeps saying "of course it will be gorgeous". Not if it bloody looks like that!

CatalinaFuckingWineMixer · 11/09/2016 10:02

I can't decide whether its the fingers or the eyes freak me out more!

super I've already told my SIL and my best friend that I want them to be honest with me and tell me if my baby is hideous 😂

I have asked for the same inter-friend-tion! I think it's mostly the fingers for me, but I'll be honest the eyes aren't helping much!

Carolann8584 · 11/09/2016 11:14

Been off milk for weeks then yesterday all I wanted to drink was milk, 2.5 pints in 3 hours, then had half a pint with breakfast! Luckily I drink 1% milk and not full Grin

MrsMushrooms · 11/09/2016 11:30

People tell me that my baby looks adorable in the scan photo but I must be a terrible mother already but I think s/he looks terrifying! We moved to a more detailed scanner to try and get a better measurement (couldn't in the end) and that's where we got our photos. It's so detailed that you can see a scary skeletal face looking right at you like an alien!

I'm sure baby will be beautiful when I actually meet them but not yet!!

NameChange30 · 11/09/2016 11:32

I don't care what my baby looks like, it will be beautiful to me and DH Smile

That's the worry though namechange. we're all going to love or babies no matter what because we're programmed to, but if it comes out looking like the ugly baby from The Simpsons and we're waxing lyrical about how beautiful they are there's sure to be some raised eyebrows 😂 Not that anyone would be rude enough to actually say anything to any of our faces

I was a fugly baby but my mum still insists I was beautiful so I'm sure we will all think our babies are beautiful no matter what!! Grin

SuperDuperJezebel · 11/09/2016 17:01

I just hope it doesn't have a big red face like my darling husband did as a child 😂.

I've had a really uncomfortable weekend, stomach muscles aching a lot and a few shooting pains. Also a tiny bit of old brown blood. I'm pretty sure it's nothing too serious, just everything moving and stretching. I have a scan on sat anyway to find out the gender so I'll get a bit of reassurance then.

charlybs · 11/09/2016 19:32

I've had a sore tummy from stretching muscles too! It's not very comfortable.

In better news, my SIL is giving us their whole Mamas & Papas travel system (pram and travel cot and car thing - still dunno what all the bits actually mean) for £150! She's expecting DC2 in December but is buying something different that'll suit them better. Yay, bargain!

HmrTron · 11/09/2016 19:44

Ahh I felt a new twinge today across the outer part of my belly....perhaps it was muscles too!

Not started buying anything yet and won't be for a while as we don't have the space until we've done a massive clear out, but it's nice to look. Those clothes are cute! Had an hour in John Lewis yesterday ....completely overwhelming! No idea where to start!

SecretScaryFriend · 11/09/2016 20:50

I felt movement from 17 weeks for sure last time so I'm on high alert now, approaching 15.
I keep thinking I feel something but it tends to be wind phantom kicks. Blush

SuperDuperJezebel · 11/09/2016 20:55

For those of you who've been pregnant before, are the little shooty pains normal/something to worry about? I mentioned the aches and pains to the midwife on Fri and she said it's totally normal, but this is new.

MrsMushrooms · 11/09/2016 21:13

Super, sounds like round ligament pain - that's what I've been told mine is! Or pelvic girdle. Either way, it doesn't imply any thing is up!

Dozygirl · 11/09/2016 21:44

Yeah super I get terrible shooting pains especially if I stand up too quickly or sneeze. Had them first time around quite early on and same again this time.

Anyone got swollen feet yet? I'm gutted, I had terribly swollen ankles last pregnancy but it happened later on in the pregnancy. Been working today and have ended up with swollen feet. The thing is I didn't go back to work till I was pregnant again so I don't know ow whether I'd just suffer with swollen feet as a rule now or whether it's pregnancy related. Anyway it's not the end of the world I just really hate it and it's mega uncomfortable when I'm stood up for a while.

SuperDuperJezebel · 12/09/2016 05:08

Thanks, that's reassuring to hear it's nothing worrying. What's less reassuring is I've been awake since 2.30am, on and off. Head is pounding! I'd love a nurofen and a nytol about now!

rbucz · 12/09/2016 07:16

I've been spotting pink since Saturday night, finding it all very stressful.

Had some bright red spotting on Wednesday (only in the morning) followed by scan in the afternoon, and all was fine. But not sure if this longer incident is more worrying? All the literature given to me from the early preg unit seems to say it can happen, but I'm struggling to keep calm. 12 week scan tomorrow, so it's not long to wait really, but still feels like an age away.

alphabook · 12/09/2016 07:42

Sorry to hear about the spotting, it can be absolutely nothing. Good luck for your scan x

Pumpkin1111 · 12/09/2016 09:13

Good luck rbucz, we have our 12 week scan tomorrow afternoon as well. It's taken an age to come round, will be good to see if there is actually anything in there!

SuperDuperJezebel · 12/09/2016 09:23

Best of luck Rbucz, I had very similar, quite a lot of red blood at 10 weeks and I was convinced it was all over. EPU trip convinced me all was fine and they said I could bleed for up to a week or so afterwards. I hope your situation is similar. Fingers crossed xx
