Hi all, I having been following the convos for a few weeks now so thought I would introduce myself. I am 10weeks and 1 day, which is way behind most of you and due on 30March 2017. I am very new to all of this, having only got married in June. :) My first scan is in less than 2 weeks, so am looking forward to that and fingers crossed it is all good. I have been feeling pretty much ok, quite tired, thirsty and sore boobs. I feel for all of you woman with bad morning sickness!!

WhereDoAllThePokemonGo · 02/09/2016 13:15

Hi Pumpkin! I have been feeling pretty much the same as you, am almost 12 weeks and don't have my scan til next Wednesday. Still doesn't feel real! DH has commented that my breasts are definitely getting larger and I'm starting to notice a weird gape in that region when I wear buttoned blouses...this was definitely not an issue before Grin

Carolann8584 · 02/09/2016 13:56

Think I'm playing detective/PI today. Should be in the military

We have our scan on Tuesday, both sets of GPs know so we are going round pic pic/news after. I have 5 brothers to tell, 3 live with DF so that's no problem telling them all at once, 1 works shifts, just sussed out he's working late on Tuesday so can go see him at work, 1 lives with us so not an issue finding him on the day (don't know how he hasn't noticed, unless he has and hasn't said anything). Then there's OHs side, 2 sisters 7DC between them so we will need to go round after school/tea before bed time to tell them the news. Then I can tell my friends over the rest of the week and the dreaded manager on Wednesday.

This is all on the hope that everything will be fine at the scan Grin fx

I like traditional but not old fashioned names, but I also want a name that can be shortened/a nickname made from, which makes the search a lot harder!

Debie there is a Facebook group but I can't remember who the person is to pm so you can be added!

Carolann That sounds like a military operation! We've played it by ear, sometimes just dropping it casually into conversation Grin Still haven't told one of my clients though, I keep putting it off! You should be fine in NYC by the way, you should in theory be feeling as good as you ever will around then.

Owwww just sneezed lying down!!

Name he did proffer one boys' name, which surprised me. Unfortunately I vetoed it Grin He kind of chose a girls' name too (it was the girl version of a boys' one I'd suggested), which is now on the list. Lucky we still have 6+ months!

Newbie7077 · 02/09/2016 15:03

HughL I did exactly the same. they are the comfiest trousers i have EVER worn. I got the dark blue skinny fit ones. i feel like im wearing acceptable looking leggings :D

Magic sneezing lying down is a nightmare since belly started expanding. Last night, I had back pain so i had to lie down but as soon as i lay down i got severe heartburn. it was a bit of an up-and-down show trying to avoid the pain

SuperDuperJezebel · 02/09/2016 15:09

Debie if you send me your email address by pm, I'll add you to the facebook group!

DebieS · 02/09/2016 15:11

Need to pull self together for the drive home

Tutuloves · 02/09/2016 18:25

Butter how did the tests go?
Carolann I don't know whether it's because your a regular poster but it feels like you've been waiting forever and ever to have this first scan, will you be more than 12 weeks on Wednesday?
Re popular names I'm so suprised at how far up the rankings Elijah has gone since my DS was born. It's quite a strong boys name I think and wouldn't have thought it would get so popular, just shows you never know what's gonna rise to the top eh.

Butterpuff · 02/09/2016 19:26

Hi tutu thanks for asking. I'll catch up on the thread in a bit. Just wanted to say the harmony test was fine (except caught a nerve when taking blood, so have had one vial taken from each arm) baby has grown in line with last scan. 10 days utill results. Then hospital called. Bloods from 12,week scan, even with high NT measurement indicate low risk for chromosomal problems. We are booked in for a fetal heart scan in two weeks. So busy rearranging flights as we will be flying home from holiday two days early. So some good news and another test booked.

gininteacupsandleavesonthelawn · 02/09/2016 19:33

Got 20wk scan appointment today for 20th October- can't believe that'll be half way next month :)

ItsMagicYouKnow · 02/09/2016 19:40

Butter that sounds very positive Smile

NameChange30 · 02/09/2016 20:43

Butter Glad your blood test results were positive. Fingers crossed for your Harmony test results and next scan.

How did everyone's 12 week scans go today?

Tutuloves · 02/09/2016 21:16

Good news butter it's all sounding positive.
Went to my SIL earlier and she'd bought the baby some neutral babygros. So sweet of her and it's the first present this baby has got so far so it means a lot. Love my SIL.

Carolann8584 · 02/09/2016 21:33

tutu I will be 12 +4 on Tuesday, does feel like a long wait Hmm

SuperDuperJezebel · 02/09/2016 21:57

Just realised I've made it to the second trimester... Had to ask DH how big 3.5inches is and got all emotional when he showed me. Our baby is a giant! And apparently it can suck it's thumb now! Eeee ♥

Carolann8584 · 02/09/2016 22:01

Awww bless, imagining beany sucking thumb. Is it 12 or 13 for 2nd trimester? X

SuperDuperJezebel · 02/09/2016 22:04

14 weeks, I was surprised to see!

DebieS · 02/09/2016 22:27
