May 2017 - anybody out there?

Hi

I just found out at the weekend that I'm pregnant, this will be no. 2. Had no idea how far gone I was as I had just had AF 7th Aug but after a very early scan this morning it looks like I've conceived since then...very surprised as HPT is seriously strong and I got 5 +ve OPK's last week which by the scan I would have only just conceived at that point.

Very much a waiting game at the moment and back in 2 weeks for another scan. If I am indeed only 3 weeks then I have pretty much the same due date as I had for my DD Grin only 1 year apart. Let the crazy times commence!

Anyone else this early in pregnancy and due in May 2017?

Will do!

ghost vaguely what line of work are you in? I'm similar in that I probably should tell them but I can probably risk manage myself for now.

Hi all, can I join?

I got a very faint bfp on Friday and it has begun to get a lot stronger so starting to believe i'm really pregnant.

I'm 36 and this is my first every pregnancy, we have been trying for 7 months.

I'm still in shock, I was only testing to show DH I could drink this BH.

Edd is the 7th May. I have tempted so know my ov date and I'm 4+2. Still very early but trying to get my head round what I now can and cannot do Smile

Looking forward to traveling this journey with you all and getting advice from you knowledgeable lot Grin

I have had my BFP! based on LMP am due on 7th May. First baby for us so am very nervous. Not telling anyone until we had our scan. When do I go to doctor/midwife? Should I wait another couple of weeks?

Congratulations everyone!

tea & ghost no real reason for the worry, mainly because of the worry over dates. I'm so worried there isn't going to be anything there Sad driving myself totally insane. At least in 24 hours time I will know what's happening either way.

Hi and congratulations iCoCo and girl

With my first I self referred through my GP surgery and seen my midwife around 7-8 weeks. Just depends what the process is within your area

Hello! I think I'm on the right bus but I am guessing a little bit... I got my pink line 1.5 weeks ago, and I'm pretty sure I'm 5 weeks pregnant but my cycle was a bit all over the place so it's hard to tell. But I think that makes this a May 2017 baby! I have a doctor appointment on Friday so hoping they might tell me more...we live abroad and although I haven't been through it here before I get the impression there are more scans and so on here. Anyway, it'll be my second; I have a 19mo DD. Congratulations everyone and I'm looking forward to sharing the ride with you all!

Congrats to all the newbies! Welcome aboard!!
So many of us already.

Does anyone else have severe bloating? My tummy looks like it's 4 months pg already, it's usually fairly flat, but this is ridiculous at only 5 weeks Confused if anyone has any tips please let me know

tea umm, hard to be vague, but put it this way, I have to handle drugs including cytotoxics and the like. Like you I can try my best to limit the risk myself but it's going to be v hard. Hence the doctors appt tomorrow just for some advice really. If need be I will have to tell work although I really don't want to having not told my parents yet. It's a catch 22 really.

shippers oh don't be disheartened, they won't see an awful lot and a heartbeat can only be detected at best 6+ weeks. I think we all worry that there won't be anything there and all our positive tests and symptoms have been a fragment of our imagination! You'll be fine Smile

Welcome newbies!

And tea, how did it go? I bet it feels more real now.

Ghost say no more, we might be in a similar line of work though I do less handling but still some risks related to infections and drugs.

Appt was good. Met Obs Cons and Endocrinologist. Will get an 8 week scan. All my numbers are good so they were happy with that.

Also a bit bloaty and crampy today. And tired.

That's great. Lovely to have something to look forward to. 8 weeks seems such a while away but it's less than 4 weeks really! I'm hoping to book a private scan around my birthday I'll be 8/9 weeks.

I second the cramps. At one point I was concerned. But they are very very normal and I had to remind myself of that!

Lovely YES to the bloating I'm normally pretty small (size 8-10). In the morning my tummy looks flat, by late afternoon I look like I did at 17-18 weeks last time! All I want to do is put pyjamas on by 5pm.

Yes to the bloating, very tempted to get some maternity clothes out!

Glad you're appointment went well tea, I rang my GP to get referred to the midwife but told I need an appointment but none available for 3 weeks Angry. Persuaded the receptionist to give me a telephone consultation instead which is for tomorrow.

Good luck for tomorrow shippers

Hi everyone , I'd like to join please! I got my bfp a week ago on Saturday, think I'm 6 weeks tomorrow so EDD 28th April. I have 2 DDs already, 4 and almost two, and they were both late so I'm banking on a May baby (unless I have an ELCS, which I'm mulling over at the minute). Was only second month off the pill and bricking it at the thought of three now. I have no symptoms yet at all, other than a bit of bloat.

Hello all! Took test Bank Hol Monday which said positive, and have done about 9 since! Took a digital one which told me how far, on Monday it said 1-2 weeks, took one today which said 2-3 weeks. According to online calculators due date will be May 5th. This will be our first.

Have told parents but no-one else. Trying so hard not to get too excited!

Congratulations to you all xx

I think the news has started to sink in a bit now. I'm definitely feeling The Bloat already - pregnancy is so glamorous...

I did my second test today and the line is very clear.
