May 2017 - anybody out there?

Hi

I just found out at the weekend that I'm pregnant, this will be no. 2. Had no idea how far gone I was as I had just had AF 7th Aug but after a very early scan this morning it looks like I've conceived since then...very surprised as HPT is seriously strong and I got 5 +ve OPK's last week which by the scan I would have only just conceived at that point.

Very much a waiting game at the moment and back in 2 weeks for another scan. If I am indeed only 3 weeks then I have pretty much the same due date as I had for my DD Grin only 1 year apart. Let the crazy times commence!

Anyone else this early in pregnancy and due in May 2017?

Ghost I had one that went lighter, I had a little panic too but the following day it went back to normal and started to get darker again. Try not to worry.
Your husband sounds lovely

Aww thanks all. We've been away for the night with no signal. I was going to pop to boots to get some digis but thought, what is the point in wasting any more money. I'm pregnant and that's that.

(Mind you I'm dying to see those nice juicy pink lines you can get on the FRERs)

Glad I'm not the only one though! Hope everyone is feeling ok. Symptom wise - not a lot going on with me. My last pg I had horrendous nausea. No vomitting just a constant intense nausea 24/7. I had a brief wave of sickness this morning but I put it down to the atrocious fry up we were served Hmm still very early days though!

Hello! Can I join?

EDD 11 May
DC #2
Age 28

I got a BFP on a FRER this morning. I'm in shock as we had only just started tentatively ttc and I thought naively it would probably take longer to conceive as I'm still breastfeeding our 16 month old DD. I saw the line and cried - feeling a bit like "oh my god what have we done?!" as a 25 month age gap seems quite small to me, but I do think it will be nice when they are a bit bigger (if this pregnancy sticks obv). We decided we would aim for between 2-3 years.

DH is absolutely delighted!

I'm already feeling a bit queasy and food is making me feel a bit sick. 11DPO.

Congratulations Oracle!

I'd be lying if I hadn't felt the 'oh f*ck what have we done' too, but it does pass. Grin

Congrats oracle! Similar gap between my two. It's lovely. Now.

I've been stupid and spent yet another £20 on a box of FRERs and two digis Blush. Ffs why do I do it! Now debating whether to do them now or later.

Thanks lovely! It's definately a relief, I had a horrible image in my mind of taking it and an even fainter line appearing - what with my lack of symptoms aswell.

She says sat here moaning to DH about how sick I now feel Grin

Congrats Oracle, I've got 22 months between mine was slightly insane at first but never regretted the gap and they are very good friends now.
I don't have any symptoms but it is early days I know.

lovely I've just had a look back I was going to ask if you had any dc yet and I saw this is a result of ivf.. thats amazing I bet you are on cloud 9! With my first pg I practically breezed through symptom free so I know to try not to read to much into it. Let's make the most of the calm before the storm that tends to hit at 6/7 weeks!

That looks great ghost, definitely worth the money.

I have 22 months between mine too, the first 6 months were difficult, I can't lie about that, but it has got easier and easier as they have got older and they are starting to play nicely together. I don't think there is any perfect age gap.

I have been feeling soooo tired over the last few days, dreading work tomorrow.

Hi I'm due number 4 on the 7th may and the period type pains this evening are horrendous!!

Hi ladies, I'd like to join you. My last period was 26th July, positive test (very faint) Friday and again on Saturday morning. I'm going to test again later this week.
Feeling somewhat surprised as this was our first month without contraception and if this wasn't immaculate conception then it was pretty close!!! I have a son who is 3y2m, and before that had a miscarriage so feeling happy but not getting carried away yet.
Parents coming to visit Friday for a week so not sure how to conceal/whether to disclose - we would normally have some wine with dinner etc....
Looking forward to sharing the ups and downs with virtual friends before I can break the news to others!

I second that gin. I'm very aware of the fact I need to tell work sooner rather than later, with the nature of my job. I also have to tell my parents which I'm not looking forward to, as at the moment they're having the kids so much for me to work. I think they're half expecting it but it feels as if it will be a bit of a "oh by the way here's another one for you to look after!" I'm hoping to jig around my hours after maternity leave so we won't be in this situation, childcare wise.

I really need to tell work as well, but just don't fancy doing it yet, it is not going to be popular!. I only have two days in and then we're on holiday for two weeks, so all being well I'll tell them after that.

I know what you mean about telling your parents. Mine have come to stay for a couple of days to help with the girls and they arrived early before I'd had a chance to hide tidy up the mess. Just before I told them I was thinking that their reaction was going to be 'but you can't even cope with two!', actually they were very happy for us, which was great. All feel more real now though.

Thanks for the warm welcome all. I think it's definitely going to take a bit of time to get my head around the fact that we might be having another child, but I have enjoyed hearing your tales of small age gaps!

About to get on a long red-eye flight with a toddler, feeling knackered and queasy - wish me luck!

Thanks ghost it is very exciting!
I am blessed that it worked for me on the first try. However I am aware that I still have a way to go before I can truly be excited!! First scan is on September 16th. I can't wait to see the heartbeat on the screen.

I have a an antenatal appointment this afternoon, have diabetes so I knew they'd want to see me early but not this early! Not complaining obviously just a bit surprised.

What makes you think that shippers?

I have made myself an appt with gp tomorrow also, just for some advice regarding work really, as I really don't want to tell them yet.

shippers will have everything crossed for you! Is there a reason to think there is a problem or just general worry about the dates thing??
