May 2017 - anybody out there?

Hi

I just found out at the weekend that I'm pregnant, this will be no. 2. Had no idea how far gone I was as I had just had AF 7th Aug but after a very early scan this morning it looks like I've conceived since then...very surprised as HPT is seriously strong and I got 5 +ve OPK's last week which by the scan I would have only just conceived at that point.

Very much a waiting game at the moment and back in 2 weeks for another scan. If I am indeed only 3 weeks then I have pretty much the same due date as I had for my DD Grin only 1 year apart. Let the crazy times commence!

Anyone else this early in pregnancy and due in May 2017?

The money I have spent on pregnancy tests over the years must be phenomenal, I almost can't bear to think about it! Have two more digi's so will try and do the successive weeks thingy and pray that it rises. Then I must stop. Grin

Can I join? Still in a bit of disbelief after a faint BFP yesterday and a much darker line this morning.

Edd - 10th may.
Dc3!!

It's our first wedding anniversary on Sunday so I'm thinking of quirky ways to announce it to dh! It's the first time I haven't told him straight away so I'm bursting at the mo!

Holiday - I know my conception date too, but how do you work out the due date from that? Is it not the first day of your last cycle plus nine months?! Ignorant but curious!

Report
Lovelyholiday · 26/08/2016 13:22

dustpan it will be 38 weeks x

shipperssss · 26/08/2016 14:06

Congrats ghost Smile let us know how you end up telling your DH.

dustpan if you conceived on CD14 then you would just count forward 38 weeks, as they assume most people ovulate around then but obviously not true for everyone. You will actually be dated originally 40 weeks from the first day of your last period. Then they will date you based on your 12 weeks scan and will actually change your due date if it's different from the calculated one.

Cautiously jumping on board too with an edd 8th May. Faint positive yesterday 12dpo and digi today showing 1-2 weeks. Like others feeling bloated and a bit nausoueus but give away for me was horrendous pregnancy insomnia. All being well this will be #2, have a nearly 3 year old dd. Stay sticky little beans!

Hello puke!

Hope everyone well. Nausea at a comforting level at the moment if that sounds odd, it's sort of nice that it's there as a reminder that something is happening rather than getting in the way of anything.

DH came home last night from work trip which was lovely. I had told him obviously but it was yesterday Digi test that made it real I think, he is less bothered by faint lines on normal tests.

Actually did one at work yesterday, fairly rubbish brand, similar to Internet cheapies and I can't believe how faint the line is on those things. Hospitals must use them but even with a late period they don't show up that well.

Teainbed - I've been doing ebay cheap tests and line was so so faint at 11 and 12. DPO I thought it couldn't possibly be a real line. A boots test at 13dpo was immediately strong and now the eBay cheapies are getting darker by the day, so guess they work but very rubbish early

still doesn't feel real and SO hard to keep a secret. I am almost five weeks I think.

Hi ladies, and congrats to all the new ladies.

I did a digital on Wednesday which showed 2-3 weeks, managing to resist doing any more. Mainly did the digital because DH did not 100% the line on the CB. He believes it now though!

Feeling nauseous a lot more now, especially when I'm hungry which means I seem to be eating all the time! Need to come up with some quick healthy snacks, the mint magnum I'm currently eating doesn't really count I dont think!

Is any one having any early scans? Me and DH are talking about paying for a private one around 8 weeks.

I had a scan on Monday and I have another booked for Wednesday last week, just st my GP surgery as we are unsure how to date. I think if I hadn't had these I would definitely pay for a private one this time.

Mind you I had 4 before 12 weeks last time too...Confused

Your GP does scans? That's amazing. Haven't even see mine yet to arrange my booking appointment!

What did they see on your scan Shippers? Are you in the UK?

Going for a hike today. Do you all exercise? I will be modifying my current regime and see how I go with sickness and energy levels but might go a bit crazy without the gym and classes!

Morning all. I don't really excercise tea although I probably do about 2 miles brisk walking each day as part of my commute and LOVE hiking just never get the chance to do on a regular basis. I know I shouldn't suddenly start body pump or anything but think I need to make a conscious effort to up the excercise slightly and maybe do some strength moves (within reason). i feel fine at the moment though, fast forward a couple of weeks and if anything like previous pregnancies I'll probably be spending whatever spare time I have in bed watching crap tv and eating kettle chips.
Enjoy your hike and long weekend all, torrential rain here at the moment so won't be doing much today.

Im going to keep up exercise as long as I can, maybe just slow down a bit when running

ginandcake · 28/08/2016 08:57

I went for my first run since finding out I was pregnant last night and oh my it was tough. Felt so unfit.

Report
Ghostonthedancefloor · 28/08/2016 09:46

I didn't cave and blurt it out after. I was sent back up to bed while DH went out so I'm currently lying here and I feel so so nervous I don't know why!

I made a scrap book of our year and the last page says "I have one last present but it's not arriving til May 2017" then a flap saying lift me with the tests underneath.

God I'm nervous!

Report
shipperssss · 28/08/2016 13:25

tea there was a thickening of the womb lining and he found a foetus but couldn't accurately date it. Yes I'm in the UK, north east.

gin I don't think it's normal for GP practice to do it but everyone I know who has been pregnant in our area has been scanned by the same GP, wether you go on for that or not ha it's like he just likes to scan women, I think he used to be a gynaecologist.

I used to be at the gym 5-6 times a week but sickness with DD stopped that dead and also my PT wouldn't let me continue with what I was doing so I reduced what I was doing massively and now I am just walking, do over an hour a day with the dog and then never really sit down unless I'm feeding the baby at home. Hoping that'll help kept me active enough for a good labour. I really feel being fit first time round helped me massively.

That sounds lovely ghost

Thank you! He's was crying the whole way through.. It was very emotional.

The only thing is, with having one FRER left, I though I bet I'll have a lovely pink line now, I've just done it and it a lot fainter than the one from yesterday, and now I'm worried Sad (it's the bottom one)

May 2017 - anybody out there?

Aww ghost try not to worry. I've done exactly the same thing today with internet cheapies Blush ended up not drinking anything for a bit to do another with more concentrated urine...

Ghost it's probably absolutely fine but I appreciate the worry - got nothing on in ic yesterday then did a clear blue digital this afternoon which only said '1-2' weeks whereas think I should be 2-3, but then my sensible side knows that so many factors can apparently affect it. Argh why do we do it to ourselves!!
Love the way you told your DH that's so sweet.
