katemarob.... Congrats! And I put what the app said based on ovulation as my cycles have been all different lengths since MC, think this one would have been 35. The doc said I was 6 weeks but app says 5!

We have told our parents mainly because I've been unwell etc and after last time I wanted them to know. I've also told my best friends because I was away with them last week and had to explain the no drinking!!

katemarob17 · 19/08/2016 14:58

Thanks everyone, I'll go with the calculator on here then as its probably more accurate.

Can't help but worry here Sad

No pain, no bleeding but I'm experiencing a definite lack of symptoms. I'm 7+5 & what few symptoms I had seemed to be disappearing. This time last year I had a mmc (heartbeat stopped between 8-9 wks but didn't find out til after 11 weeks).

Anyone else got disappearing symptoms? I know it happens but I'm also all too aware what it can mean as well Sad

I've got an early scan booked next Saturday & don't know if my local EPU will be particularly bothered.

OP posts:
TopKittyKat · 19/08/2016 16:10

That must be a worry Celen

Fingers crossed your scan will put your mind at rest. I bet it feels like a long way off though.

MrsRhubarb · 19/08/2016 16:21

The only thing I've noticed varying is how tender my boobs are. Some days they feel fine, other days like they are going to pop if touched! Fingers crossed for you Celen, I'm pleased you've got an early scan to hopefully put your mind at ease.

hummingbird100 · 19/08/2016 16:37

Been through the same myself celen, hope all is well

Littlespoon · 19/08/2016 16:42

Just a wee update.
Still at EPAU, now waiting to see a consultant. Thankfully all looks fine with the baby, had a scan, saw a wee flickering heartbeat and measuring 7+3.
My ovaries, bladder & bowel all look clear, so they aren't sure what's causing the pain.
So thankful that it wasn't ectopic and everything with the pregnancy looks ok.

Thinking of those of you worried and waiting Flowers

marmitecheesetoast · 19/08/2016 16:45

Great news little

I've not been able to stop thinking about bovril and crisps all afternoon Hmm

MrsRhubarb · 19/08/2016 16:48

Great news that baby is okay Little but fustrating that they don't know what is causing you pain. Hopefully they will figure it out, or it will go away!

naranciata · 19/08/2016 17:06

So sicky today. Overheard in loos at work vomiting spectacularly and a lovely (anonymous) colleague left some tissues and a plastic cup of water outside the cubicle for when I came out.

I've got a long awaited work trip coming up in November to a developing country not famed for its stellar health and hygiene practices nor its cutting edge healthcare system. I'm going to have to cancel, aren't I?

(Is it bad that I feel gutted?!)

I have another one mid-Sept to mid-Oct that I think I'm going to go ahead with because it's only continental Europe, I can speak the language and am only a few hours from home with a tiny time difference. Sensible or silly?

MilkyChops · 19/08/2016 17:46

I'm going traveling for 4 weeks to developing countries in November too. I'm still going though as it's tourism as opose to working. Depends what you are doing really? And if you'll be in at risk areas or large towns.

Definitely go for the europe one. May be able to add a few days relaxation in after your work is complete.

Anyone else short of breath?

jpeg28 · 19/08/2016 17:54

little that's great news!!

Anyone have aching legs? I haven't exercised, and basically been on sofa all day! Maybe that's why!!

Still no nausea... When did others get it?

Can't promise not to be sick on you though. Thought I'd come through as for the first time in a couple of weeks felt really well this morning.... and then this aftermoon hit.

celen they may be able to reassure you or move your scan forward? You don't know unless you ask.

naranciata how lovely of your colleague. I would do the Europe trip - especially if it is an ehic country. But worth taking a vocab sheet of pregnancy symptom type words as a precaution?

Thinking of all those worrying.

MonkeyArms · 19/08/2016 18:00

jpeg it hit me for a couple of days at the end of week 7, went away for a few days and has come back with a vengeance in week 8. Eeuuuuuurgh.

Number4OnTheWay · 19/08/2016 18:01

I got taken off the list I'm feeling ridiculously emotional today and now I'm not sure if I should put myself back on or is this a closed group I've stumbled into?

MonkeyArms · 19/08/2016 18:07

numbers so sorry if it was me! Try in to do it on a retro phone. Definitely not a closed group! Just technologically challenged

Celen · 19/08/2016 18:23

Thanks ladies, I've not been worried up til now - there's so much emotion invested in having a baby from the point of POAS-ing. I guess I'll just have to wait it out & see Sad

OP posts:
TopKittyKat · 19/08/2016 18:23

Come and join us number - the more the merrier.

little - that's great news that the scan went well. I'm sorry you don't have answers about the pain. That must be frustrating.

milky - I get out of breath very easily now. Just a short flight of steps taken at a snails pace leaves me out of breath.

BertieBotts · 19/08/2016 18:43

Europe trip should be fine. The maternity care in most European countries is better than the UK. Does developing country have Zika? That would be my main concern I reckon.

MonkeyArms · 19/08/2016 18:51

Ok here is my stupid question for the day..... does hungry feel different when you are pregnant? My normal hungry is an empty girgly feeling. But now when I should feel hungry by my watch I just feel sick. And I dont eat I don't get normal hungry just sick. Hmmmm

naranciata · 19/08/2016 19:02

No zika - that would make it a definite no!

I'd be mostly in big cities with access to some Western-style facilities like chain hotels, malls etc. Some (2-3 day) trips out to less well equipped areas. Really in two minds.

BertieBotts · 19/08/2016 19:28

I think I would go, but it is a tough one. Perhaps you could look into options for travelling somewhere a bit better for treatment if anything happened, or just get the best health insurance you can. Wait until nearer the time and see how high risk you are, be extremely picky about what you eat and drink.

IrnBrufan · 19/08/2016 19:45

monkey I know exactly what you mean! The last couple of nights at dinner time when I know I should be hungry (as I haven't eaten since lunch) I have get sick and the thought of food is really off putting

Mumwannabe82 · 19/08/2016 19:49

Hi everyone, I think I'm due on the 16th April but haven't been to the doctors yet x I hope everyone is feeling ok x

jobrum · 19/08/2016 19:55

Got my GP appointment today, mainly because I want to get stocked up early with Fybogel (free on prescription! Why didn't I know that last time!) as pregnancy constipation is not something I want to repeat. Oh the horror, giving birth was only slightly worse.

The sickness is keeping away so far, just some minor gagging at work. My apetite went completly in the first trimester. Everything tasted wrong, a lot of things made me sick, I just wasn't hungry.
