God, it's weird how psychosomatic symptoms seem to be. Could have sworn I'd had nothing yesterday or today until I got to 9pm (12 hours without spotting) and felt better. Now I'm shoving toast down my throat because I'm too starving to sleep even though I'm really tired.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 27/08/2016 04:09

I find my symptoms go through big swings Bertie - I felt fine and dandy most of the day, but felt so absurdly pregnant I was practically waddling by this evening, and am now awake feeling really sick (wonderful DH has just been nagged into fetching me toast and ginger tea).

Helbelle75 · 27/08/2016 06:47

Can't sleep. Had to get up for a wee and a snack and now wide awake. All the books day that you need lots of sleep in the first trimester, but I'm finding it impossible. At least I'm off work for another week so can try to rest then.

SharkBastard · 27/08/2016 07:00

HellBelle I've got insomnia and this pregnancy has not helped it...it's horrible not being able to sleep! I'm shattered but just can't stay asleep. I feel your frustration!

My boobs are sore and my nipples are horrifically sensitive, they woke me up a few times during the night

jpeg28 · 27/08/2016 07:14

I was awake almost all night!! I have never been a good sleeper but since I've been pg it's been awful! Could be because of the 2 hour nap?!

Helbelle75 · 27/08/2016 07:16

Poor you, that sounds awful. It's so frustrating.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 27/08/2016 08:24

The insomnia sucks! Last night it was a combination of me being awake and my toddler having a 3am party (in which he was trying to get our cat to sing happy birthday). I spent a good chunk of the night asleep on the floor of the nursery. Yawn!

ChatEnOeuf · 27/08/2016 09:00

Oh, Jenny that's a relief. Hopefully plain sailing from now on.

Glad things are settling, Bertie.

JennyOfOldstones · 27/08/2016 09:04

I wish it was insomnia keeping me awake rather than my toddler! I am so so tired. Not as sick as my last pregnancy though which is a relief.

sniffysnifferson · 27/08/2016 09:12

can I tentatively join?

sniffysnifferson due 7th April

I'm feeling nauseous when hungry so i feel like im constantly eating! and boobs are so so painful
No tea or coffee here either, completely gone off both!

jpeg28 · 27/08/2016 09:15

Congrats sniffy! That sounds the same as me... I was a massive coffee addict and now I just don't want it!

Made myself have a smoothie this morning, worried I'm not getting enough nutrients... Stopped me feeling sick for all of 10 mins!

naranciata · 27/08/2016 09:30

Jesus Christ - last night over dinner in a packed restaurant FIL asked me when my last period was! So awkward. Then he got out a pen and paper and worked out my due date! I had told him this information! Why why why?! Mortified. Next table definitely heard. DH thinks it's because FIL is a retired scientist and likes to work everything out 'properly'.

Celen · 27/08/2016 09:31

Scan in an hour. Completely terrified that they won't find a heartbeat Sad

Good luck Celen

LuchiMangsho · 27/08/2016 09:42

Good luck Celen! Will be thinking of you xx

Bubbinsmakesthree · 27/08/2016 09:47

Good luck Celen!

Welcome and congratulations sniffy!

MumiTravels · 27/08/2016 10:01

Everything crossed for you Celen Flowers

My toddler is still in bed. Again. He must be having a major growth or developmental spurt going on because he's sleeping 14 - 16 hours a night.

MrsRhubarb · 27/08/2016 10:03

Good luck Celen, all the best!

We somehow got onto the subject of birth while chatting at work last night, I was so worried I'd slip up and out myself. Arg!

Superbabywright · 27/08/2016 10:15

Good luck celen

I'm struggling with my boobs too. I'm pretty big anyway and now they feel like they've put a stone on just there.
I'm also feeling quite bloated but today if officially 6 weeks 😊
I wasn't really a tea/coffee drinker before but now I can't get enough of iced water with blackcurrant cordial. I didn't drink cordial at all before. Strange how quickly our tastes change.
I am a member of slimming world at the moment. i know that realistically I won't carry it on for the whole pregnancy but I wondered if there is anyone else here slimming and how long they're planning.on carrying on? I'm going to buy another 6 week pass next week then maybe stop going and just doing it myself after that.

jpeg28 · 27/08/2016 10:19

Good luck with scan celen thinking of you.

Does anyone else feel massive already?! I just feel so fat! My boobs are huge and everything I put on I feel like a heffa! Just been out and bought control underwear!!

Helbelle75 · 27/08/2016 10:34

I'm slimming world superbaby. Carrying it on as I don't want to pile huge amounts of weight on this trimester, and I think it's a really healthy way of eating. I'm very near to target so just going to maintain/ put weight on healthily.

Superbabywright · 27/08/2016 11:07

Thanks helbelle. I'm 1 and 1/2st into my journey and I don't want to ruin it too much. I'm carrying on for now so I don't use trimester 1 as an excuse to eat like a monster. Although that hasn't stopped me this week 😂
Well done on nearly hitting target.

Helbelle75 · 27/08/2016 11:16

Thanks. I put on a stone last time I was pregnant (sadly ended in mc in May) so I wanted to lose that and a bit more ideally before ttc again. Managed to lose 12lbs so happy with that. Well done on your 1 1/2 stone. That's fab!

Jaffacakes1234 · 27/08/2016 11:24

Me too jpeg. My not quite 4 year old asked why my tummy has got big. I'm not even fooling a 4 year old, convinced everyone else must have noticed and being polite not saying Confused

Superbabywright · 27/08/2016 11:26

Sorry Helbelle but well done on loosing so much afterwards.
Thank you as well. When is your due date? Are you still attending class?
I am due 22nd and still attending class at the moment. I joined originally to help with us TTC. It took us 20 months to conceive so i'm trying to keep as healthy as possible.
