Woohoo 5 weeks today :)

I am feeling a bit emotional this morning. Not really sure what that is down to. Plus my left hip joint is sore in certain positions, which I'm hoping is not a sign of things to come! I think it's probably just because on my driving lesson yesterday I got stuck in traffic for 20+ minutes and was using clutch control so moving my left leg in ways I don't normally.

BertieBotts · 24/08/2016 08:08

I think I'm also feeling anxious because I haven't phoned the clinic yet or figured out childcare for the last week of the holidays.

Strubo · 24/08/2016 08:10

8+1 today and I have my booking in appointment this morning! I've been having some pain in my left ovary, I do have ovarian cysts so I'm hoping it's just that but late night googling suggested ectopic pregnancy so I'm now worried.

Fingers crossed they can reassure me today.

Superbabywright · 24/08/2016 08:11

I think I'm due on 22 April hummingbird. I was 5 weeks on Saturday gone x
I'm not on the list. Should I copy and add myself?
I've not had much nausea. Fingers crossed i'll be lucky enough to bypass any actual vomiting. We'll see how things progress though

BertieBotts · 24/08/2016 08:31

Good luck Strubo! :)

Superbaby you can add yourself if you want, it's up to you.

hummingbird100 · 24/08/2016 08:36

Ah super I was 5 weeks on Saturday too according to how the doctors work it out, but I have more of a 32 day cycle rather than a 28 day cycle so I think I'm more like 5 weeks today or something.....it's so confusing!

Hope everyone had an OK night Smile

DH finally seems to have accepted that I'm pregnant which is in some ways nice but in other ways unsettling. He was all leaving me to get on with it on my own and now he's making plans like (this morning)

"I think I'll take a year off but work Wednesday and Friday" (Er OK, that's roughly the plan, but we need to see if I get the full time contract first)

"I want one of those jogging buggies so we can go jogging!" (Right... we live in a country with literally cobbled streets. Plus he doesn't jog.)

"You should start playing a song to the baby so that we can play it when it's born and it will fall asleep! Get the routines in there young!"

Why do I feel so attacked whenever he suggests having something vaguely to do with the baby? You'd think I'd be happy? Confused When we were on holiday he was spoonfeeding our friend's baby and getting all excited and I had to leave the room because I wanted to cry because I'd done BLW with DS, not puree weaning and now it wasn't going to be the same.

I don't care THAT much about weaning technique but apparently I do Confused

choccybiscuit · 24/08/2016 08:51

It must be down to hormones bertie. Did you suffer with spa with previous pregnancies?
I'm off for my scan soon, I'm 6+3 because of the spotting over two weeks now, showing no signs of going away eithe. Catch up later ladies.
Welcome to all the new bfp's!

BertieBotts · 24/08/2016 08:53

Nope never had SPD so hope it won't happen this time! But this hip has been a bit funny since co-sleeping which is apparently a thing.

MonkeyArms · 24/08/2016 09:01

Hope it goes well choccy

TopKittyKat · 24/08/2016 09:09

Good luck Choccy. I'll be waiting to hear how your scan goes and what you can see as we are similar cycle lengths and have been having similar symptoms.

I've had an awful night sleep and woke up to more dark brown spotting. It's heavier than previously but only seems to be first thing in the morning.

I can't remember who posted about the parachute dream but I had a very similar dream last night. I was falling too fast and couldn't find the parachute release cable. I looked up and realised it had already been released but was the tiniest parachute ever and wasn't slowing me down. I managed to catch the parachute on the side of a building to break my fall and landed ok. Then the other people landed nearby and asked me why I didn't use my wing suit to slow down. I look down and realise I'm wearing a wing suit. Weird huh!

Hello to all the new people on the thread. It's getting busy now... Not sure how I'm going to keep up Grin

OtterSpace · 24/08/2016 09:19

Hi everyone, just sticking my head in to say goodbye. I was still having positive pregnancy tests but my scan yesterday showed an empty sac with no yoke or pole Sad. I've started bleeding properly today probably due to all the poking. Turns out my instinct was right about lack of symptoms, even through I had only minor cramping and no major bleeding. The EPAC were amazing so I definitely recommend anyone with worries going if you have access to one.

Good luck to all and hoping I'll be on another thread for 2017 at some point! Brew

Sorry to hear that OtterSpace, the same happened to me last year, so can empathise on how tough it is.

Best of luck, once you've recovered, everything crossed for you Flowers

Celen · 24/08/2016 09:24

Good luck choccy!

Yeah I had my bloods back and I've just got to sit and wait it out basically until next Tuesday.

I don't know what to do with work. I had a few days off until scan yesterday. Due back in over the weekend but if Tuesday is bad news then I'll be going back off. Is it better to have one extended period of sickness rather than a few in and outs. It's such heavy work too Sad

I think my dates We're right because we were on holiday and then if I had ovulated late or anything then it would have been a school night Grin.

More bleeding through the night. I need a wine but i can't Sad

MumiTravels · 24/08/2016 09:27

Sorry to hear that Otter Flowers Look after yourself xx

TopKittyKat · 24/08/2016 09:48

Sorry that you're leaving us Otter. Wishing you all the luck for your next pregnancy. X

Bakersdelight · 24/08/2016 09:53

I'm having an early scan later this morning due to previous history and am sooo nervous. Not relishing the prospect of the internal probe!
I think I'm 6 +4. Did another pregnancy test this morning to make sure I'm still pregnant!
We have a wonderful 3 year old DS, but before him I had an ectopic, MMC & MC.

Bellatrixandstrange · 24/08/2016 09:55

So sorry otter x

Bubbinsmakesthree · 24/08/2016 09:56

i made it to the hospital at 7:30 only to be told that the the department I needed didn't open until 9am. So had to wait around for an 1.5hrs, only to find out that I was in the wrong the department, the correct department DID open at 7:30am and there was already about 50 people ahead of me in the queue in a stuff waiting room. Thankfully I was able to point to the bit on my form where it said 'urgent' and jump the queue! So now just need to wait and hope the results show I'm immune to chickenpox!

Bellatrixandstrange · 24/08/2016 10:01

mumi I think pregnancy related sickness is protected and can't be held against you but do you have an HR department you could check with?

Bakersdelight · 24/08/2016 10:02

So sorry to gear your news otter

MumiTravels · 24/08/2016 10:11

My manager just said if I'm not up to going to work don't go. I'll see how I feel today then let them know. I hate having time off but i don't think my head is in it.

My toddler has been asleep for 16 hours Shock. We woke at 8.30, he murmured then went back off. We've got up and made coffee as we were bored of waiting.
