Sorry to hear about your awful midwife experience celen and receptionist number 4! The way some of these so called health professionals behave is astoundingly poor. Fingers crossed for better experiences all round!

Had my GP appointment today - she just did blood pressure, checked I was taking folic acid. So just to wait for hospital letter now.

summerskittles and gemsbok I have my booking in this afternoon. Excited to get the ball rolling!

So sorry mumi, I have my fingers crossed for you.

celen You can request a different midwife, when I rang to book in the allocated me a midwife but I wanted to have the midwife I had for my first pregnancy, they were very good and changed me over. I have my first appt with her on Thursday.

Oh Mumi - I hope it just taking time to show itself, but that must be very hard news to process

Sorry it wasn't great news Mumi, fingers crossed there's a little heart beat next week.

Some of these stories about gps etc are awful! Last pregnancy I had a big bleed and my gp just said 'lots of pregnancies end in miscarriage, you'll just have to wait and see'. She refused a scan for me. Bitch.

They said to come back in a week. Got to ring tonight to see how high my hormone levels are.

They weren't very informative. I suggested could we do my bloods every few days until next appointment and they said yes but then didn't arrange it. I'll ring the community midwives back I think maybe tomorrow dependent on results tonight. It's been hard waiting 4 days, let alone another week.

Sorry your scan didn't go well, Mumi, and sorry the people there don't seem to have been that helpful. Hopefully you're just a bit behind where you thought you were. x

OK, I'm sure this is nothing but when I went the loo and wiped (sorry, tmi) a little bit earlier I noticed some extremely light brown discharge. Like, mostly clear but with a very light brown colour to it, like what I'd get at the very beginning or very end of a period. I've had little twinges in my pelvis today, like short, sharp little pains, sometimes on the left and sometimes on the right, out towards my hips - but nothing ongoing.

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm about 5w.

Whoever said a few pages ago about sex being much 'better' than usual is 100% correct - just a little tip!

Also, unbelievably horny (hormones?!) and my boobs are bloody enormous so DH is delighted.

And, almost no nausea today - result!
