everdene that's a good sign your hcg is high. When I had my MC I was 7 weeks and hcg was only 700. Fingers X for you and I'm sure the scan will be good news.

Theknittinggorilla · 21/08/2016 16:48

Thinking of all those with worrying symptoms or lack of. Wishing the time away until everyone gets to scan and can relax a little.
Im spending my mornings being a bit worried as by this point with ds2 I was already really nauseous. Then hitting a brick wall of tiredness in the afternoon and spending the afternoon worrying how on earth I'm going to cope with two under 4 while pregnant and exhausted! So frankly I am just never happy....

And on a lighter note I'm really missing coffee! Went off it completely with the first two in the first trimester but not this time, anyone found a decent decaf that doesn't taste dreadful?

Puggleface · 21/08/2016 16:53

Hello all, just checking in!
Sorry for those who are having and have had bleeding. Hopefully it all settles down soon. Good luck with your scan tomorrow everdene
I have a case of appearing and then disappearing symptoms too. Massive wave of nausea on Friday and felt super rough and so tired! Nothing yesterday, then today I'm super tired again with a few waves of nausea.
Loving the excuses for afternoon naps though!

cantmakeme · 21/08/2016 17:55

Luckily I'm not a fan of Brie, Camembert, et al. I did however like coffee and I seem to be really, really off it. Boooo. When I was pregnant with DD I went off tea but could tolerate coffee. This time tea is slightly better, but I'm at a loss for what to drink other than water...

Alcohol - no
Hot drinks - grim smells
Water - ok
Sparkling - wind alert

cantmakeme · 21/08/2016 17:56

Anyone else in for a scan tomorrow?

choccybiscuit · 21/08/2016 18:42

Good luck for your scan tomorrow everdene hope your ok

BertieBotts · 21/08/2016 18:51

No but I think I'm going to call the clinic tomorrow and get booked in :)

BertieBotts · 21/08/2016 18:51

Squash, can't? I am drinking squash.

MilkyChops · 21/08/2016 19:00

Aldi and Lidl de-caff coffee's are okay. I'm still drinking normal coffee, i'm a bitch without my morning coffee, it's just not worth it for my family

I'm not off anything. Chicken is hit and miss but I'm not keen on chicken anyway so it's not really any different.

Hot squash like ribena maybe or some lemon tea.

jpeg28 · 21/08/2016 19:02

Good luck everyone with scans this week... I'm really worrying as I just ate a desert with egg yolks in. The only heat came from hot cream... Would that have cooked the egg? I'm scared!! It's my own fault I shouldn't have eaten it!

No symptoms at all today... Would love a bit of nausea so I can sneak off to bed! MIL is such a lovely person but almost TOO nice!!

MilkyChops · 21/08/2016 19:06

I think the new evidence is that raw egg yolks are okay providing the eggs have the British lion symbol on them - dippy eggs all round Grin

Will try and find you a link now.

RaRa25 · 21/08/2016 19:08

I'm glad I'm not the only one Milky, I have to have coffee in the morning and maybe a couple in the day

jpeg28 · 21/08/2016 19:09

Great thanks milky...Also.., I am dying without coffee!! That's worse than alcohol for me!!

MilkyChops · 21/08/2016 19:29

Right, the eggy business.

The Food Standards agency are in consultation at the moment and saying that British Lion Stamped eggs are very low risk and are the safest in the world. The Royal College of Midwives aren't endorsing this until they have all the evidence etc.

So the midwives will still say no to raw eggs however I wouldn't worry about an odd egg yolk.

Theknittinggorilla · 21/08/2016 19:49

I'm definitely still having coffee but trying to switch to decaf in the afternoon! Not very successfully as its not good!
Yes to runny eggs - really missed them I'm pregnancy one but were a staple in pregnancy two!

jpeg28 · 21/08/2016 19:53

Thanks milky that's great! I won't worry too much then.

I have to have no coffee at all as I think I'm a massive addict! I can't stop at 1! I stopped drinking it when we started TTC and I had such bad withdrawal symptoms, after the MC I started again and then this time when I stopped the withdrawal symptoms came back in full force!!!

hummingbird100 · 21/08/2016 19:55

I usually have lots of coffee and tea, but I'm onto redbush tea atm - I've decided not to have any caffeine at all after a mc earlier this year so I'm super cautious, and redbush is totally caffeine free. It's not too bad but I first made it with milk and it was foul! I'm also hungry all the time. A roast chicken dinner is currently in the oven and smelling glorious Smile

Bubbinsmakesthree · 21/08/2016 20:07

I like redbush milky myself! I'm having one or two cups of normal tea per day, then decaf or redbush for any others. I've got lemon and ginger for easing nausea but I can't enjoy it as it just reminds me of feeling sick - it's strictly medicinal!

hummingbird100 · 21/08/2016 20:13

Really bubbinsmakes3? Maybe I made it too weak...I just couldn't drink it! I'm really missing lattes and flat whites Sad

everdene · 21/08/2016 20:14

Thanks Choccy, Puggle and Jpeg.

It's reassuring Jpeg to hear a high hcg count isn't necessarily bad news. I thought it might mean a molar pregnancy or something wrong with the baby. Sorry for your previous miscarriage Flowers

jpeg28 · 21/08/2016 20:16

Hope you're doing ok everdene it's so nerve wracking just not knowing. I'll be keeping everything crossed for you.

choccybiscuit · 21/08/2016 20:17

Does anyone here not suffer with nausea/ morning sickness? I'm starting to worry because of lack of it. Silly I know. With both dd's I suffered with nausea and my bbs were not painful in the slightest. This pregnancy I have the complete opposite, no nausea and bbs very sore. Anyone else have this?

jpeg28 · 21/08/2016 20:27

No nausea for me... Boobs are soreish but nothing compared to last time. Last time I couldn't even have a shower facing forwards as it hurt so much!! I'm hoping every pregnancy is different!! I am worried about the lack of nausea... But my mum didn't had it at all with me.

RaRa25 · 21/08/2016 20:28

Choccy, I had no sickness or nausea with DD and not had any yet in the pregnancy.

LuchiMangsho · 21/08/2016 20:30

I'm the one with the scan tomorrow. The superstitious one who refuses to add herself to the list. I'll be 6+3w so I'm not entirely sure what to expect. There is a good chance that we'll see nothing and it will prolong the agony so I need to manage my own expectations.
