Starting to worry that apart from extreme nausea when I'm hungry I'm actually feeling good! I'm away at the moment with my mum who has no idea and keeps dropping comments about wanting grandchildren :) it's so cute but killing me not telling her! Also now I am the napping queen! Casual 3 hour nap yesterday.....you know....as you do lol. I had a dream last night that I went for a scan and it was twins! They run in my family so it's a genuine worry lol! Glad to see everyone doing well so far :)

choccybiscuit · 21/08/2016 08:23

Midrog, you never know it could be! I dreamt I was pregnant once and I was!..... I'm six weeks today (yay!) Just read on glow app, that if your at the stage the heartbeat can be seen on a scan your chance of miscarriage decreases to 5% which is reassuring for all of us

MrsY87 · 21/08/2016 08:26

Hi ladies, mind if I join you? Found out I'm pregnant on Thursday with DC2, had what I thought was an early AF and then got a very positive OPK and didn't fancy wine which prompted me to do a test! Was so shocked to see it was positive! EDD 22 April

I forgot how much early pregnancy feels like a permanent hangover Confused

Muffin7 · 21/08/2016 08:47

Well there was me laying in bed this morning panicking as I thought my symptoms (horrendous nausea) had disappeared....had breakfast....then bang nausea come back with a bang whilst feeding my little one, cue a swift run up the stairs to throw up my breakfast. Bleurgh!!

jpeg28 · 21/08/2016 08:51

choccy that's so reassuring!! I hope I'll hear the heartbeat at my scan in 9 days. Last time I never got to that stage so it might make it feel real!

midrog maybe the dream does mean something?! Would the hcg be higher with twins?? Also in terms of feeling good, I feel great and don't really have any symptoms... Well teenage skin and one sore boob! But not sickness yet!

Welcome mrsY!

choccybiscuit · 21/08/2016 08:52

Congratulations MrsY
Poor you muffin it must be awful Sad

Bubbinsmakesthree · 21/08/2016 09:20

It's awful trying to deal with small ones when we're feeling so rubbish muffin.

I had get DH up this morning as I couldn't face a poo filled nappy. DS is really clingy with the chickenpox and has unusually for him been "co-sleeping" (or being awake half the night climbing on top of me, squashing my sore boobs and sitting on my queasy stomach).

I've just realised we'be got DH's niece staying with us for a fortnight from next week - concealing the morning sickness is going to be an impossible challenge isn't it?

Bellatrixandstrange · 21/08/2016 10:03

When does it get better? Please can someone reassure me that I won't be vomiting 6 hours a day for the next 7 months?

BertieBotts · 21/08/2016 10:28

Sorry bellatrix, no idea. I didn't get morning sickness last time.

Um can I ask a personal question? Blush I am finding sex is really fantastic compared to normal. Anyone else?

Bubbinsmakesthree · 21/08/2016 10:35

bellatrix for most people the first trimester is by far and away the worst in terms of feeling sick (although an unlucky few feel ill for much longer). Second trimester is generally a good one, and in 3rd trimester physical tiredness and aches and pains take over.

Bellatrixandstrange · 21/08/2016 11:04

Thank you. I'm struggling at the moment, so sick and exhausted. Too tired for sex but a few weeks ago it was very good Bertie I think it's because of the increased blood supply down there.

MilkyChops · 21/08/2016 11:13

Sorry to hear about the morning sickness. I didn't have any last pregnancy not even nausea. Only had one bought of nausea the other say but been settled since.

I'm not in the mood for sex at all. Especially with the bleeding/spotting.

I had another bright red bleed last night. Had a really sharp pain this morning too Sad

I ate half a whole brie about 2 weeks ago before I realised that pregnancy was on the cards. It was bloomin lovely.

choccybiscuit · 21/08/2016 11:55

bertie unfortunately I had to reject the dh today because of the spotting, roll on 12 week milestone!

choccybiscuit · 21/08/2016 11:56

MilkyChops sorry to hear that, might just be normal for your pregnancy. My sister had the same thing and had a healthy boy.

jpeg28 · 21/08/2016 12:09

milky sorry to hear about the bleed... Fingers X everything is ok for you. Flowers

MrsRhubarb · 21/08/2016 12:31

Seven weeks today. Ovia 'Parisian Bakery' theme tells me baby is the size of a Berlingot candy, popularised during the reign of Louis XIV. THAT MEANS NOTHING TO ME! DM has just come back from France and has spent the morning regaling us with tales of brie and wine. I didn't kick her, though I think it would have been justified.

I'm having really weird, vivid dreams at the minute. Last night, I had somehow been elected leader of the Labour party. The night before was definitely set in Happy Valley. Very strange!

Milky one of my friends had bright red heavy bleeding all the way through her pregnancy, and that baby is now a bouncing three year old. It must be so stressful though, I can't even imagine Flowers

naranciata · 21/08/2016 14:02

The current French advice is the same as ours re: cheese. Made me sad at yesterday's wedding when the evening buffet was a cheese and charcuterie selection. DH went up for me and came back with........some bread and butter.

I was rumbled by two friends last night for not drinking. Oh well.

jpeg28 · 21/08/2016 14:23

I never thought the cheese thing would annoy me but I really really want Brie!!! And ham... And everything else we can't eat!!

I am so hormonal, I have had a go at OH so many times today and just gone off in a strop to bed! We are at his parents for the weekend and I'm so so so bored!!

naranciata · 21/08/2016 14:30

I will be you next week jpeg something possessed me to spend a whole week with FIL and BIL. FIL is nice enough but BIL is such a dickhead that it will ruin the trip.

hummingbird100 · 21/08/2016 14:49

I'm about 5 weeks. Has anyone felt weird pops and rumbles in their lower belly it definitely wasn't hunger? I know it's not any movement obviously!

BertieBotts · 21/08/2016 15:08

Yep, it's wind. Unfortunately Grin

IME that never really goes away because after you've been pregnant you're more sensitive to it and you notice it all the time. So we probably always had it but you don't notice until you're looking out for sensations in that area.

RaRa25 · 21/08/2016 15:20

Hi everyone. Hope you are all ok, it's so nerve wracking at this stage. I don't have much advice for people really as I had no symptoms in my last pregnancy.
But I do feel like crap this time. Yes to the feeling hungover, bloated belly and feeling thirsty all the time.
Felt utterly crap today, got blury vision and just general meh! Luckily DH has taken DD out for the day so I have spent it In bed!
Good luck to every one having early scans and to any one spotting.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 21/08/2016 15:21

I've had those little pops as well - they DO feel like kicks - I never noticed them in my first pregnancy. I guess a bit of wind would explain it Grin

hummingbird100 · 21/08/2016 15:41

I did feel a bit windy shortly afterwards GrinI am always on red alert at the moment, I need to calm down...

everdene · 21/08/2016 16:10

I had some bleeding yesterday and 111 said to go to hospital, but when I turned up the hospital don't scan on weekends so I'm back tomorrow for a scan.

Apparently my hcg is high - the blood test measured 49000+ and I'm 6+5.

Keeping my fingers crossed all is ok...
