I tested at 4w and get a strong positive within seconds...I tested because I felt sick! My symptoms are in and out, but I've never had a strong line before 6 weeks...

We shall see how it goes! Just want this one to stick

IrnBrufan · 20/08/2016 17:39

Having such an emotional day today! Having major issues with the inlaws and they're making me and my husband miserable.
They refuse to acknowledge I'm pregnant because they have no relationship with our daughter and so it will be the same with this child.
I've never had a good relationship with them but I can't believe they'd be mean enough to say that to my husband! SadSad

BertieBotts · 20/08/2016 18:14

Jaffa if it helps my DS dropped the most night feeds around his second birthday. It seemed to drop to twice during the evening - 9ish and 11ish - and then once during the night and once early morning. It felt manageable at the time...

hummingbird100 · 20/08/2016 18:23

I'm really bloated today Shock I've got a right podgy looking belly.

marmitecheesetoast · 20/08/2016 19:00

We conceived while away camping too number4! Grin

I got a strong positive at 3.5 weeks...on an IC... you're making me worried now! It probably just takes different amount of times to build up in different woman and in different pregnancies?

Hi to new people, waves

BertieBotts · 20/08/2016 19:01

Me too hummingbird. I'm completely round! Poke it though and it's all air.

cantmakeme · 20/08/2016 19:06

Another seriously bloated one here (6w). It's my birthday (36, woooo!) and I made DP cancel a nice restaurant as I think I want a jacket potato instead... What sounds better, Indian or jacket spud? I can't decide now.

Scan is Monday at 11 to check if it's in the right place. If that goes well I will be sooooo relieved.

Glad to hear about all the positive scans and funny pregnancy irrationality!

choccybiscuit · 20/08/2016 19:18

imbrufan I'm sorry to hear that, that's awful. Sounds like your better off without them.

StillaChocoholic · 20/08/2016 19:30

Got a letter today with an appointment for my first scan Smile
I'm so bloated on a night, it's so uncomfortable and when I'm hungry I am REALLY hungry. Currently waiting for take away to arrive and all I can think about is how hungry I am

TopKittyKat · 20/08/2016 19:38

marmite, number4 - I got a strong positive at 3.5 weeks too. I doubt it could be twins for all of us. It's probably just that different people have differing levels of hormones.

hummingbird100 · 20/08/2016 19:39

It does get worse throughout the day doesn't it? Not helped by the Pom Bears and Fruit Gums I've been troughing today...

TopKittyKat · 20/08/2016 19:40

Chocoholic - that's exciting that you have your scan letter. I can't wait for mine to arrive!

Number4OnTheWay · 20/08/2016 19:42

My sister in law is here, she doesn't know and all I want is the Turkish delight ive stashed in my bedroom and sleep! I'm counting down an acceptable time I can announce I'm off to bed.
Marmite Maybe camping sex is the place to make twins!? [Shock] seriously though, I've never had a positive before 6 weeks, not ever! Confused (btw have I seen you round in the camping threads? Your name looks familiar...I name changed before I joined this thread though)

marmitecheesetoast · 20/08/2016 19:57

Good call topkitty!

Nope not me number4 maybe another marmite fan!

Exciting about scan letter choc my booking in letter arrived today!

Jaffacakes1234 · 20/08/2016 20:05

RE strong early positives I had a positive at 6 days before my missed period with my first. She was definitely not twins. But I never got early positive with either of my boys, my first positive was the day my period was due..... Maybe early positive might mean girls? I didn't test til my period was due this time so I'm none the wiser!!

choccybiscuit · 20/08/2016 21:22

I'm watching repeats of one born every minute now, I'm started to get excited!

BertieBotts · 20/08/2016 21:27

Ah I did that last time :) I might get into watching them again. I watched all the series of The Midwives on youtube.

jpeg28 · 20/08/2016 21:35

Just read through the days posts!

topkat sorry you have spotting... The doctor told me today it's nothing to worry about, I hope it goes away for you though, I've been on pant watch all week!!

bubbins that sounds so awful!!! I love all of those foods too! Does your friend know you're pg??!

Some of your sound like you have had exhausting days!! I hope you're getting lots of rest now .. I've been up since 6 and now I'm in bed exhausted after a 5 hour drive to Devon!

Happy birthday cantmakeme! Hope you had a great meal whatever you decided!

Today I got my hcg levels... Gone from 2500 to 5000 in 48 hrs, I'm over the moon! Still really early days and I feel like I have no symptoms but feel so much more positive. Cramps have stopped (for now) but spotting continues.

Welcome to all the new people!!

choccybiscuit · 20/08/2016 22:11

jpeg that's great news! It's reassured me about the spotting too.
bertie I've never heard of the midwives? Is it only on YouTube?

Helbelle75 · 20/08/2016 22:29

I'm at a wedding today and accidentally are some brie. It was in a wrap and I didn't know what it was. Now panicking :-(
Hope everyone is ok, I'm starting to worry about things going wrong. And this wedding is full of children and making me feel quite sad about our childless state at our age. Will try to be more positive!

BertieBotts · 20/08/2016 22:31

It was a BBC one but I think it's too long ago to be on iplayer unless they've repeated it? It's on youtube anyway. It's a bit different to one born because they focus on one different theme every week rather than two whole births. So you might see different bits of women's stories but one week is about inductions and another is about birth partners or whatever (I can't remember exactly) and you get an interesting perspective. I thought it was good. There are some sad/scary bits though but I found it okay last time. It's pretty clear from the titles if it's going to be a tough one IIRC.

Number4OnTheWay · 20/08/2016 22:46

Hellebelle, different countries have different rules on foods. In France for example, you can eat as muh cheese as you like, but can't eat any fruit or vegetable that wouldn't normally be pealed to eat. So lettuce, strawberries, grapes, cucumber, apples, pears etc all not ok. Oranges, bananas grapefruit etc all ok.
Honeatly don't worry too much about the foods eaten by accident without thinking. Its the toxoplasmosis that they are worried about, that's why they say to stay away from them. I'm sure a little bit of brie isn't going to do any harm xx

Number4OnTheWay · 20/08/2016 22:47

(this was the case in France 6 years ago anyway!!)

Helbelle75 · 20/08/2016 22:55

Thanks number4. I know I'm being silly, just overly tired I think.

choccybiscuit · 20/08/2016 23:02

Thanks bertie I might watch a few when my hubby goes out riding next week, I prefer to watch them alone or he might start to freak out lol
