Congrats flipper after all the years of trying. We have two friends who had their first around your age and everything was fine.

My DH's parents were also your age and older when they has their last two and said they found it easier rather than harder (they had my DH in their late twenties and then there was over a 10 year gap). My BILs never think about the age of their parents so really don't worry about how your kids will feel.

Welcome Naschkatze Smile

I am not sleeping great but that's because of my toddler. I've started the Jay Gordon night weaning technique and DD is not impressed so far Grin I am sticking to it though as she still wakes up every 2 to 3 hours and wants boob to get her back to sleep. If shes still doing that when I have a newborn to feed as well I think I will go insane, ha! I've got used to rubbish sleep though I think after not having a full nights uninterupted sleep in 2 years Hmm.

fanella I think yoga helps with pregnancy and birth but of course people have done both without yoga for thousands of years and been okay so it's up to you.

Is everyone doing their pelvic floor excercises? I can only seem to remember when baby is pushing on my bladder. I've got to develop a routine!

FlipperSkipper · 16/08/2016 09:23

Thanks so much Londongirl X

Dreamingoutloud7 · 16/08/2016 09:31

london I keep forgetting about the pelvic floor exercises, Blush

I fall asleep just fine but am tending to wake up about 3, for no reason and then just doze until my alarm at 6. Can't remember the last time I had a night unbroken, utterly exhausted, and that's before I have a baby!!

Just saving the updated list here so I don't lose it. I'm about halfway going through thread 4 but dd has done a poo so I have to deal with that! I'll finish it later.

Re: Pelvic floor, fortunately kegels aren't the only way to strengthen it. i forget to do kegels but I do a lot of bridges (in place of sit ups at body pump/balance) now & they also help apparently.

topmammy · 16/08/2016 10:04

Not that it makes much difference Friendly as I'm sure like DD this baby will take no notice of its due date but I have had mine moved to 22nd Feb. Thanks for doing the list. There sure are a lot of us!

kikisdelivery · 16/08/2016 10:05

Morning all! I like the sharing idea, and Flipper, you're not old at all, you're the same age as me and I think mentally, I stopped at about 21!!

Age: 38
Location: Cambridgeshire
DC# : 1 eeep!!

In terms of size/weight etc, I haven't weighed myself at all. My weight checks at the midwife for my booking bloods showed I was the same as usual back then, but i've not been weighed since. I do wonder if I've put much on....during the first trimester I was really fussy with food so didn't eat as much as usual. My 20 week scan's 23rd September, we are definitely going to find out sex because i'm a complete control freak and want to know NOW! Grin !!

Thanks for the exercise advice, London and others, I'm going to check out pilates and I love swimming so might dig out my cossie again (like that'll fit now!!).

Holly1987 · 16/08/2016 10:14

Awesome list Friendly Smile Thank you.

Can't believe how many of us there are!

My DD is now 18th Feb, after my scan on the 12th x

LondonGirl83 · 16/08/2016 10:17

ready I do the bridge in both yoga and Pilates so that's good to know. I manage to do the kegel ones about twice a week. It's crazy though- when the baby is certain positions I can already feel the pressure she is putting on my pelvic floor!

LondonGirl83 · 16/08/2016 10:18

My bump is small but it's

Keepingupwiththejonesys · 16/08/2016 10:20

Fab list, I name changed but Theresa Marie is me if that can be changed whenever , thanks x

Sienna9522 · 16/08/2016 10:24

Hi,

I'm 25
Manchester
Baby #1

Friendly, thanks for the list it's fab. My EDD has changed to 17th feb after my scan yesterday and my 20 wk scan is on the 5th October.

LondonGirl83 · 16/08/2016 10:25

Oops accidentally posted! It's small but noticeable to people who know me well. My waist is disappearing too. I've lost 10 pounds so far though due to illness but haven't weighed myself this week as I've been on holiday. I'm 13+4 today based on my dating scan.

LondonGirl83 · 16/08/2016 10:26

My due ate is also Feb 17th now and my 20 weeks scan is Oct 5th!

Naschkatze · 16/08/2016 10:52

This moves fast doesn't it!

Due date 24th Feb here.

Anyone doing body pump/attack/balance, are you still keeping up with it?
Pretty much since I found out I've only walked or gone swimming but I used to be a regular at the classes. I've been to pump once in the last 6 weeks but was put off a bit by not knowing what to do in the sit-ups section. I feel now I'm past 12 weeks and starting to feel more alive I should get back to it! Any tips?!

PianoOnlyTheWhiteKeys · 16/08/2016 10:53

Thanks friendly hope the poo wasn't an explosive one Wink

Can you change me from Jojoclaire and my EDD is now 31st Jan, 1st DC, thanks!

Readyfortwo · 16/08/2016 11:05

Hi Natsche don't worry I was the same. Only went about 3 times in my first 13 weeks. Now I'm feeling a bit more energised so managing pump weekly. Haven't been to balance for a while but that's more to do with timing.

With pump I have reduced my weights so I'm not pushing it too much. I don't do the crunches & do 'pointers'/'bridges' instead, and I have my step at an angle for the chest/tricep stuff. Looks a bit funny but makes it easier to get up & down!

Hi - my vital stats:

Age 41 (must be the oldest on here?!)
West Yorkshire
DC3

My two oldest DC will be 11 and 14 when this one is born (my first with my new partner) so feels like the first time again in a lot of ways! There are sooooo many more "must have" products that are marketed at you now!!!

We've signed up for an NCT course starting in December but i don't feel like an "old" mum at all Smile

SausageDogGeorge · 16/08/2016 11:10

Oh, I've just signed up for a pre-natal yoga class too - starting when i'll be 18 weeks as i'm 15+2 now and we're on holiday for the next 2 weeks - mainly going for the relaxation side of it - never done yoga before but really looking forward to it Smile
