LRD, very happy for you to hang out here. Congrats on your partner's pregnancy!

Another scan tomorrow morning, I'll be 9+6. Then I transition out of "assisted reproduction" care and get to be a normal pregnant person instead! Pretty happy about that. Fingers crossed for the scan though.

Also heard today that I don't have a UTI lurking, which is also great - get to avoid antibiotics.

Does anyone have very weird changes to their sense of smell and taste? Things obviously seem more highly scented, but I also misinterpret tastes and smells. The doughnut I tasted the other day tasted of petrol, and the apple tart my friend was cooking yesterday smelled of leeks! It's so bizarre!

SuperDuperJezebel · 10/08/2016 04:49

HmrTron, I completely understand your concerns. I had a scan on Sunday and I still won't feel like everything's really really really OK until my 12 week scan. I also had a miscarriage, almost 2 years ago exactly, and a worrying lack of symptoms last week really terrified me too. I am making up with it in the nausea department this week though! Crossing my fingers for all of you who are worrying, it's just a horrible time especially when you feel so helpless.

Happygojo86 · 10/08/2016 07:03

Just place marking. Still feeling sick. DD was up a couple of times in the night and up for the day at 6.30Confused. She has also just pooped and I can smell it from the other side of the living room. Just trying to pluck up the courage to go and change her.... I am already retching!

Since moving her onto cows milk she is pooping so much more and I'm sure it's much more stinky!

Morning ladies feeling quite sick here in the night and this morning. Work is really busy today hopefully my stomach will settle.

Was a bit gutted last night, midwife rang asking I'd everything was ok as I hasn't turned up to my booking in appointment? I explained I didn't receive a call or letter about the appointment or I would have been there. Thankfully she was very understanding but I now have to wait two weeks when I will be 10 weeks to see them. It stressed me out a little as I am one of those who is always early to appointments and didn't want them thinking I had just missed it. Still not had chance to tell my new boss as it's been manic I just want to get it over with. Hope you are all ok this morning.

alphabook · 10/08/2016 07:49

Good luck today boots

purple I only made it to my booking in because they left a 'reminder' message a few hours before, I hadn't got the letter either. Or the one for the scan date. Annoying.

I need to get my arse to the health centre to get the first lot of bloods done. The first of many needles to come :(

Yesterday I spoke to my boss, she's known I'm pregnant for about a week and has been great. She's happy for me to bring the baby with me when I come back to work (nanny). She asked if I could recommend any agencies she could phone for a chat about getting temporary cover, I gave her the name of one I know, I used to see the lady that runs it every week at a playgroup and she seemed lovely. She told her "if you go for a temp they're always rubbish, you just get the leftover ones. Just sack your nanny and make a permanent hire"! Boss fortunately was horrified and is looking elsewhere!

Hi everyone, and thanks Name for the shiny new thread!

Stats:
Name: Magic
Age: 30
EDD: 14 March
DC#2 (DS just turned 2)

Went for my dating scan today, all fine and measuring exactly to my dates (9+1). It was moving around and waving and everything Smile Could hardly sleep last night. Wish I could just chill out a bit! Roll on 12 weeks!

Butterpuff · 10/08/2016 09:14

Good luck boots.
Purple at my booking I found out that my scan letter had the wrong hospital in it for scan. So I could very easily have missed that. And as we go away the week after it may have been too late for tests by the time I got it. Paperwork doesn't seem to be an NHS priority.
Dozey I was EMCS last time for failure to progress. Also, it seems I had the toughest sac ever and everyone who has read my notes has mentioned it. Don't want to scare anyone but it took 2 midwives one sitting on me to break my waters.

ItsMagicYouKnow · 10/08/2016 09:16

boots Sorry to hear you've started bleeding, hope you get seen quickly and it's nothing serious.

Sorry to all those suffering from sickness/nausea. Mine is still coming and going, hopefully will be gone for good soon.

Zenzie I was most disappointed with my first McDonald's of this pregnancy last night, it tasted very strange. Couldn't finish the chips because they tasted of metal, although I scoffed my hamburgers, for the extra iron obviously Grin

Sorry to all those having administrative problems. I'm a big fan of the NHS, but I do appreciate how smoothly it's all running for me in France. I did all my bloodwork at 4 weeks, today dating scan and booking in app, 12-week scan booked ages ago, and have my next three obs-gyn apps booked (so I'm good up to November).

Just started the PRISM trial with my local EPU (after early spotting) to take either progesterone pessaries or a placebo up to 16 weeks.
Feeling very cautious about this pregnancy. Saw a tiny heartbeat last week which was lovely but now back to being convinced that i'm doomed to miscarry!

louise1609 · 10/08/2016 09:31

Welcome LRD

Sorry to hear wornoutboots fx for you

I had a scan last week they 'think' there may have been a fluttering heartbeat, but say too early to be sure. Not 100% on my dates (so long trying, gave up monitoring everything!) and GP thought at that point 7+5 but EPU said sizes indicate more likely 6+. Have another scan Monday . Bleeding has improved but still heavy spotting when go to the loo. So still so worried! I cancelled last booking in appointment as worried about scan results, wish i didnt now have to wait until 25th as apparently there's only 1 midwife on the area who covers both clinic and home births.

I really feel for all suffering with sickness I'm getting nausea very occassionally but luckily it passes. Other than that constantly exhausted and getting very hungary very regularly (i dont normally get hungary often) but not enjoying anything I eat.

neonrainbow · 10/08/2016 09:41

Wow thread 3 already!!! Super just to reassure you after my bleed i had fresh red blood for a day then brownish blood for 3-4 days. Epu said it was the pocket of implantation bleeding which either re absorbs or makes its way out. Finger crossed everything is ok with anyone who is worrying.

Im11 weeks today my babies are the size of bee hummingbirds 😃

gininteacupsandleavesonthelawn · 10/08/2016 09:55

Thanks for the new thread!

Butterpuff · 10/08/2016 09:59

That's lovely neon Smile

Cantstringawordtogether · 10/08/2016 10:04

Thanks for the new thread, just place marking.

Carolann8584 · 10/08/2016 10:24

Well lets see what today brings, had a fab day yesterday if you don't include the mild nausea and fatigue. Picnic again today Smile

Bit worried about all these lost or not received letters, I haven't had anything, I went into my doctors surgery to book my MW appointment and was given a card as usual not heard anything else, should I? Appointment is a week today.

alphabook · 10/08/2016 11:02

Those who are waiting to hear about booking in appts, I would call them to check. I never actually recieved a letter for mine, I just got a text message saying I had an appointment at the hospital and had to call to confirm what it was! On the day the midwife said hardly anyone had turned up which is probably why!

alphabook · 10/08/2016 11:09

Congrats Magic!

Good luck for your next scan Louise.

I also have a bee hummingbird/poker chip/Brussels sprout/profiterole today!

Cloeycat · 10/08/2016 12:17

I'm wondering if my area is just a little behind but I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and haven't heard anything about a scan yet...
