Hi everyone!

FX boots sounds like it could just be early days. The wait will be difficult (understatement), but only time will tell. Good sign that it's old blood though.

Congrats Tigger!

No action on the boob front here, and still wearing the same bra I have for the last 3 years (since my first pregnancy).

I'm sleeping terribly at the moment. For starters, the village we live in is generally very noisy over the summer with concerts and parties until the wee hours, my brain won't switch off, and I can never get comfortable. I always go to bed in quite a lot of discomfort, whether it be nausea, indigestion, reflux etc. I'm finding sleeping on my tummy already quite difficult, so I'm using my pregnancy/nursing pillow (only got it in the 2nd tri last time). I find I'm sleeping better on my back, even though I know I won't be able to do that for long either. OH is complaining too, because I only snore when pregnant! Blush It must be a combination of back sleeping and blocked sinuses. Oh the glamour! DS woke at 4am this morning for a wee, and I couldn't get back to sleep for about an hour afterwards! Wish my brain would shut up, it's always the same worries...

ItsMagicYouKnow · 11/08/2016 16:07

Daisy I was a citrus fiend last time, not so much this time. Mangoes and mango juice on the other hand...

alphabook · 11/08/2016 16:42

Fingers crossed boots, hopefully you ovulated a couple of weeks late.

charlybs · 11/08/2016 18:26

Super i am currently sat in my h&m maternity jeans at 9+3 and I don't care! None of my trousers fit. So get them on if you want and don't be ashamed! I find long strap tops hide the over-belly part Grin

Boots I wish you luck, fx for you Flowers

wornoutboots · 11/08/2016 18:35

thank you all for the well-wishes

MissClarke86 · 11/08/2016 19:45

I am feeling sooo fat at 9+6. Normally overweight anyway but my stomach has definitely bloated. I'm on holiday and eating out a lot which obviously doesn't help but I should really try and watch what I eat when I get back...just feeling bleurgh as I don't know what's baby bloat and what's too much food! I clearly should have lost weight before getting preggers...

neonrainbow · 11/08/2016 20:04

Miss clarke i did lose weight before i got pregnant... waste of time my stomach is huge!

purplesmiler · 11/08/2016 20:45

My stomach is becoming firmer and I so feel bloated. I am already a plus size lady but certain clothes I can't wear as they are now way too clingy. This is at just over 8 weeks.

SuperDuperJezebel · 11/08/2016 20:53

I lost 8 stone and I feel like I've put half of it back on in the last few weeks. Midwife says I'm not to weigh myself!

MissClarke86 · 11/08/2016 20:59

I'm glad it's not just me! Blush

SuperDuperJezebel · 11/08/2016 21:02

I can't. stop. eating. pops 4th Belgian chocolate of the night in mouth

alphabook · 11/08/2016 21:30

I'm quite enjoying having a big belly! I'm apple shaped and my belly is the worst part of my body so it's nice having a big belly for a reason rather than just being fat! Looking forward to getting to 12 weeks so I can show off the bump rather than trying to find ways to disguise my belly like I normally do.

2 days in a row now that I haven't been sick...oh sweet relief!! Desperately hoping this is it and the symptoms are easing off! (Im 11+1.)

neonrainbow · 11/08/2016 22:24

I just look like ive piled the weight back on but I've only put on 1lb look like ive put on over a stone.

Fran03 · 11/08/2016 22:47

Has anyone had a consultant referral letter through but shouldn't be under consultant care. I have just got an appointment for beginning of October but no idea why. I haven't even had a scan yet so its not that. I have had my booking but no mention of consultant care apart from discussing my asthma but both decided it was unnecessary. My first pregnancy/labour had no complications whatsoever apart from spd but that wouldn't require consultant care besides I haven't mentioned that. Very confusing plus I do not want consultant care!

alphabook · 11/08/2016 22:53

Did they mention any other tests/appointments at the booking in? I got a letter saying I have a consultant appointment but actually it's just an appointment for a glucose tolerance test.

Fran03 · 11/08/2016 23:00

Thanks for reply.
All my bloods came back normal. I had a UTI but have had antibiotics for that and wouldn't think that would require a consultant No mention of glucose tolerance test, just said on the letter to take a urine sample but you take them to near enough every appointment! I guess I will see my midwife before then anyway so hopefully can cancel it. I wish they would let you know just a brief reason behind it!

MrsMushrooms · 11/08/2016 23:40

Sorry to go off on a tangent, but why don't you want consultant care? This will be my first child so I don't fully understand it all!!

Could you have 'ticked a box' somewhere that's triggered an automatic referral? Maybe through age or BMI? Or maybe your pelvic problem is on record somewhere and someone's looked at it and referred you? I imagine if your midwife agreed you didn't need to see the consultant that maybe it's just an error - can you speak to her and ask?

Carolann8584 · 12/08/2016 00:50

Awwwww my Ovia description changed beany is the size of a tailed-blue butterfly Smile

charlybs · 12/08/2016 08:08

Asked DH what he wanted to do today (we both have a day off) and he said he's going to be busy building a cot!

I was away for work this last week so unbeknownst to me he's bought a load of wood, designed it and checked all the measurements and safety restrictions. How adorable is that??? GrinGrin

Carolann8584 · 12/08/2016 08:48

charlybs thats lovely!!

Cloeycat · 12/08/2016 09:21

You know what really annoys me? When doctors surgeries and now hospitals have a voicemail saying call back between certain hours. And then when you do, they still have the voicemail turned on! I get that sometimes it's busy but it seems to be every single time here. For example: call back between 9am and 11.30am- it's now 20 past 9 and I'm still being told to call back after 9.... Phew rant over.

Carolann8584 · 12/08/2016 09:32

Been there Cloey

How's everyone feeling today? TFIF?? x

LRDtheFeministDragon · 12/08/2016 09:37

Aw, charley, how lovely! You'll have to post a pic when he's done.

hulahula10 · 12/08/2016 12:39

Been blissfully on holiday th past week, should be 8+1 now, had awful nausea and sickness a couple of times and spent 2 days in bed which was a shame...

Can't wait to go home and book a private scan now though!

FlowersFlowersFlowers to all having a hard or worrying time x
