Of course I read 'tears' and 'tears' as in crying simultaneously when I read. Gives all accounts an eve more emotional edge!

dats · 15/07/2016 08:38

Elliz proper LOLed at Timotei baby! I don't remember that part of the ad Grin and then again at who I've got my hands on. Just a concretey bump, right now I think. And not too bad, thanks - although I had a bloomin horrible night. I'm feeling a bit anxious about the birth. Actually, more than a bit. It's so much worse than last time. And last time I didn't even have a bad experience! What's wrong with me?! I'm expecting a full diagnosis

Anna forgot to say: nothing covers my huge bump now either, my saviour has been Cami dress vests (they're not bloody dresses, they'd be obscene) from Primarni. About £3 - basically super super long vests which I am wearing under mat tshirts.

dats · 15/07/2016 08:39

Yes to tears and tears, here too!!

Liz09 · 15/07/2016 09:45

Congrats to all the new mummas! I can hardly keep up with this thread, haha. Smile

Had my 39 week appointment this afternoon. Baby is lower, but she thinks she'll be seeing me next Friday for 40+1. Hmmph. Angry

Hoping everyone is enjoying their new baby snuggles. Smile

AnnaT45 · 15/07/2016 12:09

Congrats photographer what a story! Hope you're ok that must have left you in shock! So were you in the shower giving birth? Quite like that idea as I love showers Grin

bitch I wanted to pick your brain if you don't mind. Id like to get a gift for the hospice staff but everything I think of seems inadequate compared to what they did Fir us. Have you received a good gift that you could suggest?

I've been feeling really off this morning. I felt really faint and then went really hot and clammy. I hoping it's this cold and not the start of labour.

Watching them eat amazing cakes on this morning! Want them all!!! Am doing ok today re mum. It's such a roller coaster though so I know this afternoon could be different. X

AnnaT45 · 15/07/2016 13:00

Oh my goodness!!! That should say birch I'm sooooo sorry!!!! I'm very embarrassed

dats · 15/07/2016 14:37

I appear to have had a baby...Grin

Boy (no name as yet) born at home today at 12.38. 2hrs from waters to delivery...all good. In a bit of shock, not sure if that's from his boyness or his speedy arrival. Didn't get the pool filled in time. Or inflated, actually. Oh and 9lb 15oz Shock

dats xxx

SpeakNoWords · 15/07/2016 14:46

9lbs 15, wow! Congratulations!

tams13 · 15/07/2016 15:06

Wow dats! Contratulations! We seem to have some speedy birthers on this thread. Think yours might be the record though. An impressive weight little boy you've grown too! How are you feeling?

The most important question though...you may not have got the day of your dreams but by 5, will you be "serenely on the sofa in a silk negligee and turban, a la Margot in The Good Life. With a g&t and bowl of Bombay mix"? Grin

primarynoodle · 15/07/2016 15:09

Havent been typing much but am keeping up! Congrats to all the new arrivals (dont forget the beautiful newborn photos!!) and new mummies!

Dont forget to join the postnatal group too - im already being helped out/reassured by the wiser mums - So glad these forums exist!

Loving the birth stories too - dats ours are very similar!

Ellizardo · 15/07/2016 15:44

Holy guacamole dats you gave birth in less time than it takes for me to eat a sandwich. Congratulations!!!

MrsRolly · 15/07/2016 16:32

Wow Dats, you are a speedy mover no messing around and geez that made my eyes water abit! Pictures when you are ready :) huge congratulations and yay for the Home birth although not much time for hospital trips with that time frame.. How much pain were you in pre waters breaking?

I also had the midwife today and she was in contradiction with what the day assessment unit at the hospital said so no sweep for me until next week if this boy is still inside - I am thinking he probably will be as it feels like he is never coming out SmileWink

pulpi · 15/07/2016 18:21

dats, you're not messing around, eh? That's the speediest delivery yet! Congrats on the baby boy!

AnnaT45 · 15/07/2016 18:29

dats that's so fast. Blimey, hope you're ok? Can't believe some of these speedy births! Anyway congrats and if you're having a G&T tonight you're my hero X

Wow, congrats dats Flowers. Talk about making a dramatic entrance! Grin

Cheery1 · 15/07/2016 23:53

Congratulations dats and photographer!

Sorry I've missed last few days. Baby doing really well but we're on the special care baby unit for a week. I've been discharged but they've found me a bed on the unit so I can be near him. Finding it tough as I'm 3 days post emergency C section with no DH to help overnight and basically on a camp bed. I love the NHS but crikey this is basic! Nurses are around but it's impossible to get any rest (I'm not talking sleep here just rest,as he's being disturbed all the time by IV antibiotics and anti viral meds. So glad he's doing well so far and out of ICU but can't wait to get home! It's going to be a long few days!!!! I'll post a pic too

Cheery1 · 15/07/2016 23:55

Hi indians - it's a bit tough but I'm so glad I was able to stay with him at least. I think we're looking at Weds at earliest as he's on IV antibiotics.

Cheery1 · 16/07/2016 07:15

I am totally besotted though so I'll get through it!

hallie is just gorgeous too x

tams13 · 16/07/2016 08:52

Congratulations cheery! He's beautiful - looks so perfect. Sorry you aren't having the easiest start. Sounds like a nightmare on a camp bed at this point and being disturbed so often. Are you likely to be moved onto a different (maybe quieter) ward before Wednesday?

AnnaT45 · 16/07/2016 08:58

cheery what a gorgeous baby!!! I'm so sorry you're having a hard time on the ward. Is there anyway you could get a private room maybe? Even just for a night to get some sleep? I really feel for you as I was put on the high dependency ward with DD which was packed and so noisy and cramped. I was so unwell and tired I had a bit of a breakdown and they moved me to a private room which was much better. Just worth asking? I do feel for you, at least you have that beaut to huge! Xx

AnnaT45 · 16/07/2016 09:35

Hug! I give up on typing this week

pulpi · 16/07/2016 10:34

So many babies!! Congrats cheery - he's absolutely perfect!
