Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Hillbilly · 12/03/2007 11:28

Hey Beanie - I know what you mean about early risers! My DD has taken it upon herself to wake at 6am at the moment and it's doing my head in! Do you manage to get a lunchtime nap?

beanie2bump · 12/03/2007 12:52

i am managing to sleep when he sleeps but he only sleeps for a hour a day and by the time i go off i get a bout 20 mins and feel awfull, like just now he had his nap so i layed down phone rang three times, etc, and now i feel worst that before lol,.,.. god i am a moaner

not sure why but everyones toddler seems to be waking at 6 ish at the moment, us poor mummies,

Verso · 12/03/2007 12:56

Glad I'm not the only one expanding. Told my Mum this weekend about the podlet and while she was very pleased, she was "disappointed" and "surprised" that I am growing already as "that never happened to me dear". So I suppose she had me and my sister with no bump at all then?!

Hillbilly · 12/03/2007 13:08

Verso - yes of course she did, and probably had a 3 hour easy labour too!!!!

Beanie, I think it might be the lighter mornings. I recently changed DD's curtains and the black out lining is shorter so lets in a bit of light now. I may have to buy a strip to stick on the bottom to make it darker. If I nap at lunchimes I switch all phones off as there's nothing worse than just dozing off and your bl*y phone ringing....and then it's a cold call from some stupid kitchen company!!!

Hillbilly · 12/03/2007 13:09

.......anyway, speaking of naps....I'm off!

betsycoe · 12/03/2007 14:57

Hi everyone,
just found this thread and thought I'd join in. I'm due on the 2nd of October and have my first scan booked for a week tomorrow. I can't wait to see him/her as I've had so few symptoms that I'm worried that there's nobody there!

At least I'll be a bit less paranoid when I've seen 'some proof'.

Good luck to everyone else
x

buffythenappyslayer · 12/03/2007 15:05

hi betsy,and congrats!!!

Hillbilly · 12/03/2007 16:18

Welcome Betsy! Congratulations and good luck with the scan.

Verso · 12/03/2007 17:11

Hi Betsy! and welcome!

Anyone else with cravings? Thought I'd escaped the worst but ooooooooh dear. All afternoon I've been craving the following (in no particular order):

lime pickle
gherkins
kippers (?!!)
capers

Anyone got any more for a list?!!!

MrsFish · 12/03/2007 17:42

Welcome Betsy, I'm due on the 1st Oct and have my first scan tomorrow afternoon. Like you am looking forward to some proof that there is something there, no symptoms for me anymore but my appetite has suddenly gone out of control, the last week I am just hungry all the time.

No cravings here either, didn't have any with my ds either

beanie2bump · 12/03/2007 18:14

hi betsy and welcome

no cravings here, really i just fancy things more and allow myself to have them whereas i would have not let myself before,,,

naughty me,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kittiwake · 12/03/2007 19:10

Hi All

So sorry to hear the news from MrsMcJnr and Yawningmonster

Hello to you Betsy, I feel exactly the same can't wait to have my scan for some evidence even though I have got plenty of symptoms I still won't believe it 'til I see the proof.

I haven't had any cravings yet either just been really queasy the last few days but hungry at the same time.

Hillbilly is right must be a tricky time for everyone right now. I think the next 2 weeks until my scan are gong to go soooo slowly. I did tell my boss today as it was just getting too tricky planning work not to tell her and she was totally lovely about it so that made everything seem a bit more real. I allowed myself a little bit of excited daydreaming about names and stuff after that but am back to being ultra cautious now

Good luck to anyone who has a scan this week

ejt1764 · 12/03/2007 19:43

Hi all,

Whinge alert!

not a good day for me today ... a set to with my bank - I had a good shout at a poor bloke on the phone, then took up my complaint with the manager, who investigated and said there was nothing they were prepared to do - again! For the 3rd time, they've failed to pay a money transfer to my childminder - and are completely unapologetic about it! There was enough money in the account, it just didn't happen for some reason! Anyway - have decided to switch my bank ... once is forgivable, twice is irritating - three times is sheer bloody incompetence! Anyway, that left me shaky and emotional - I hate confrontation, and felt like I was banging my head against a brick wall!

Also found out this evening that dh will be away from early Wednesday morning until late Friday night - I can hardly move my head in the mornings without puking - how the hell am I going to manage getting ds up and sorted out? not looking forward to it at all ...

whinge over ... now going to flop in front ot the tv - America's next top model is on later - although I may have to record it - I don't think I'm up to staying up that late (heark at me - 9pm is late )

love to all ...

MillyM · 12/03/2007 20:27

Don't 'cha just love banks ejt - why do they ever get paid (especially, as you say, they don't seem to like paying anyone else!)
Welcome Betsy, I too have hardly any symptoms at all, had an early scan at 6 weeks and saw a mini beanie but I'm also really looking forward to my 12 week scan. I can't say I've had cravings but I've also just had that desperate urge to eat there and then, also had a very sweet tooth which I normally don't have.Oh and one boob can be quite sore! Does that count?!
Hope everyone is ok x

Taichimum · 13/03/2007 08:34

I am afraid it is all over for me. Started bleeding on Sat, had a scan yesturday and found the baby had died at 7 1/2 weeks. I am having an ERPC today.
