J20BABY · 10/03/2007 17:08

how is everybody today?
has anybody got a bump yet?

i've had quite a big belly the last few weeks and all of a sudden its disapeared, does anyone think this is cause for concern or am i being paranoid?

ejt1764 · 10/03/2007 17:36

Hi J20 - The bump you had before may well have been down to water retention / or constipation!

My belly is starting to expand - I'm back in my size 16 trousers - for the loose waistbands! I've also got my belly belt handy for my smaller trousers. It's bizarre, the bit just above my pubic bone is solid - but my fat bits have been shoved upwards!

DS has been taken away for the night by my mum and dad - more to give dh a rest than me - he's been on early morning duties with ds for 6 weeks now and is looking really really tired. Having said that, he's not made life easy for himself - he's taken the turf off our front (excuse for a) lawn, as we're re-planting it. Want to put a crab apple tree in there and lots of wonderful flowers. We've just watched the rugby (we was robbed! don't get me started on the cheating Ba$tard known as Ma Bergamasco) - and now dh is mowing the lawn ..... he's promised to some to the garden centre with me tomorrow ...

I'm having problems finding things I can drink ... I can only keep down tesco spring water / caffeine-free coke / appletise / diluted apple juice with fizzy water - and I've even been throwing those up today. Please can somebody suggest drinks ...

J20BABY · 10/03/2007 17:47

lucozade-any flavour, ginger beer, vodka and red-bull? strawberry milkshake? the nesquick one seems to calm my stomach a bit.

thanks maybe i'm being silly but i just don't feel right, i'm boiling hot and a bit out of breath, maybe need sleep.

have a nice rest while your ds's away x

ejt1764 · 10/03/2007 17:58

thanks j20 - have tried luconzade, but I really can't take it ...

I made myself a smoothy last week with some frozen fruit - perhaps I could try that again ...

I made a nice punch in the summer with apple juice, cranberry juice, orange juice and ginger ale & it was very nice. Can't even type orange without puking - so perhaps I could try apple juice & ginger ale ... worth a try too - poor dh, he's going to be despatched to tesco's again, I can see ...

vodka / red bull

buffythenappyslayer · 10/03/2007 18:03

hi everyone!not been about for a few days as been feeling completely crappy!knew my feeling well was too good to last!!!

mrsmc,am so very sorry to hear your sad news i hope you and your dh are ok,and will keep an eye out for an announcement from you in the future!i wish you all the luck and best wishes in the world hun.

i hope everyone else is ok.

i bought some trousers from matalan (fab ones with an elastic waist as all my jeans were starting to cut off my circulation!) and i am now living in them!!been browising t'internet for some maternity clobber and think will have to drag dh along to dorothy perkins as they seem to have some very nice things!

my mum has gone into grandparent overdrive!shes buying baby clothes left right and centre!mind you,she is in competition with my aunty,as my cousin is also expecting at the end of september,so i think my mum and my aunty are trying to see who can buy the most baby clothes!!shes also nattering me to find out what my baby will be,just so she can buy pink or blue!!!told her she will have to wait and see when he/she pops out!!

right thats about it form me for now!!im feeling sooooooooooooooooo sick again, and have gone a burning throat from being sick earlier.joys of pregnancy eh!

oh,havent had my scan yet,was supposed to get booked in today, but mw rang and cancelled as she was going off on sick for the rest of the day and she said she had forgotten to send the scan form off!bleeding typical!so my booking visit is now going to be either saturday or sunday next week.and gawd knows when my scan will be!

buffythenappyslayer · 10/03/2007 18:08

ejt,ive been strugling to find drinks that dont make me feel sick or give me heartburn!i used to drink lots of diet coke, but now it gves me heartburn.tea makes me sick,as does coffee.pure orange i had last week for constipation, but ended up being sick after it.

been drinking lots of water but am now finding that i feel full after drinking it and then start being sick!!

had a mcdonalds vanilla milkshake today as i wanted something really cold.but that didnt stay donw too long either!!

am hating this morning sickness malarky!!!i knwo i complained about not having any sickness!!but now i wish it would just hurry up and pass!!!

if you find anything tod rink that is none fizzy and doesnt make you sick can you let me know!!!!!

MrsFish · 10/03/2007 19:39

J20BABY - I haven't got a bump as such but I have suddenly expanded in the last three days.

ejt1764 - I am back in my size 16's too for exactly the same reason. Regarding drinks have you tried cranberry juice, its refreshing and still, it may be the fizziness in drinks you are having trouble with? What about milk, can you stomach that, its good for you too. So glad I haven't got ms like you have. Hopefully you won't have it for too much longer.

Hope everyone else is ok

PolarMummy · 10/03/2007 19:41

thehairybabysmum · 12/03/2007 08:46

MrsMcJ and Yawnning monster, really sorry to hear of your losses...take care of yourselves.

Hope everyone else is ok and had a good weekend. We were at a friends wedding in Switzerland which was fantastic. Back to real worl today though!!

Can second feeling fat, back in my size 16s here too...not helped by the fact that i well and truly fell off the weightwatchers wagon as soon as i knew i was pregnant!!

WinnieThePooh · 12/03/2007 09:15

So sorry to hear your news yawningmonster.

Take care of yourself.

I hope everyone else is doing well.

I will be on here a bit more now that my mum has gone home. I felt it would be very ignorant of me to spend time on the computer when she was here.

Only 2 weeks to wait for my scan now. My fiend is coming with me as it is unlikely DPwill be able to get out of work in time, and my MIL will be in Devon.

Hillbilly · 12/03/2007 10:00

Yawningmonster - So sorry for your loss.

I guess this is the uncertain and rocky time for all of us due in Oct, trying to get into the hopefully "safer" zone of the 2nd trimester.

I had an early scan last monday and heard the hb and saw the little bean. So amazing, but I am just keeping me fingers crossed for the next few weeks. Last pg ended in mc at 10 wks. I have really avoided telling people this time, just a couple of close friends who are also pg.

Hope everyone else is doing fine and getting fatter by the minute.

Regarding drinks - I'm in a serious lemon & ginger tea phase!! The ginger definitely seems to settle my stomach if I'm feeling a bit queasy.

beanie2bump · 12/03/2007 10:14

hi guys good luck to all those guys with scans this week, my 2nd one is on thursday so heres hoping, beanie has grown,

i have two nice evenings out this weeek, going to see dirty dancing and we will rock you, so i am being spoilt to two evenings out, hope i feel up to it, as i am still feeling drained , sick at the thought of 90% of food and drink, and ds has started waking at 5.40 almost every morning, i need sleep
