Just a thought, when you are heavily pregnant how the hell can you reach to check your cervix anyway? I can barely reach my bloody ladygarden now let alone going a bit further!

EllieK · 24/01/2007 20:59

sounds like you're having a bad time of it AngeG

Matthew once started playing up in Tesco, I held him firmly by the hand to stop him running away, only to find that whenever we went anywhere a member of staff he would shout very loudly "OW, HELP, SHE'S HURTING ME" called his dad after the first 3 dirty looks and said he best come get his son before someone reported me to Social Services!

mammyjo - you haven't updated the leaderboard!

Btw i think baby has a sugar rush now..... oops.... it's nonstop movements now...

AngeG · 24/01/2007 21:05

Not sure about the cervix feeling thing, someone on that thread is a mw so knows how to explain what you're feeling for, not sure I'm up for that...I don't need to be cos of my c-section.

Thanks for all your kind words. I think maybe I'm being different with him, I am tired and don't have as much patience as normal, but I don't very often shout...it's just not the way I do things. Hope it's just a phase that he grows out of quickly. Bit worried it's because of the baby even though it's not here yet. Think I'm being a bit over sensitive and letting things get to me. I ought to have an early night I think.

eca · 24/01/2007 21:06

hi ange - sorry you're having a crappy night with ds. Afraid I have zero advice, buut I'm sure that you're doing really well and it's a phase or something.

Just the thought of going near my cervix with the length of my nails at the moment makes me wince!!

Will get tape measure out at bedtime. Far to cold to start stripping layers at the mo. I don't think I could possibly beat you mammyjo though!

12weeksandcounting · 24/01/2007 21:06

Tears rolling down cheeks Mammyjo - that is outstanding - well done!

How in the mother of god do you see your cervix when can't even see your ladygarden??? Or do you have to actually go see iyswim? And how on earth would you know your cervix is thinning???? I feel a new leaderboard may be required

EllieK · 24/01/2007 21:07

how can you bear to leave this madhouse Ange?!

This is the link to the Cervix feeling thread if anyone's interested.

cervix feeling!!

bubblez · 24/01/2007 21:11

Oh i can just see it now.... cervix's, how thin is yours???

12weeksandcounting · 24/01/2007 21:14

pmsl EllieK - don't think I will either re the cervix measurements - that is just a little tmi although would make me laugh an awful lot

12weeksandcounting · 24/01/2007 21:17

OMG re the instructions - washing hands made me chuckle the most - would need arm extensions first LOL

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 24/01/2007 21:18

Mammyjo, whoppers indeed! My heartfelt congrats to you!

Ange, sorry to hear you are having a crap time with ds. How old is he again?

Becky who is 4 soon, blows hot and cold, from telling me she loves me one moment to lashing out the next. The lashing out/nastiness is usually if she feels she is not getting enough attention, or if she is just bored. She wants a reaction. I try not to rise to it, but it is hard when tired, pg and feeling under the weather.

Hope things improve hun. x

mammyjo · 24/01/2007 21:23

Think I will be giving the cervix checking a miss personally. The first part made me laugh. Do people do this on a regular basis to become familiar with how their cervix feels? Not one of my hobbies

EllieK · 24/01/2007 21:23

time to calm things down me thinks.....

have found some photos (old ones i'm afraid!) of me and Matthew

12weeksandcounting · 24/01/2007 21:30

weeonion · 24/01/2007 21:34

just quick post to say hi.

AngeG · 24/01/2007 21:36

Thanks SOSPL - Jake is 3.4. Maybe it's an age thing. I never really suffered with the 'terrible twos' so I guess I was lucky.

bubblez · 24/01/2007 21:36

well ive spent the last ten mins touching my nose and lips to work out if i can feel the difference... and no i cant. I'm also on the same wavelenght as 12weeks I think I knw where it is but have not ever been there nor did I think you 'could' go there.

ellie I cant get to ur photos...

CaptainDippy · 24/01/2007 21:37

Ellie - Don't think it worked hon - Sorry!

Off to bed now - v. that mammyjo has stolen my title - Well done you!!

See you tomorrow.....

12weeksandcounting · 24/01/2007 21:41

angeG - Ted is 3.7 and there are some days when i really do wonder what on earth is going through his head and is sooo grumpy - other days he is just lovely, plays nicely and is great to be around. Sometimes I think he could do with an extra session at playgroup and maybe he gets bored too easily which ends up in mischief and/or grumpiness! I try to keep him busy - am tempted to start doing some phonics and reading with him - he starts school in september - and although he doesn't need to know anything before he starts it is something that may keep him occupied!

DH snorted at nork measuring and promptly left the room!

EllieK · 24/01/2007 21:41

i hate links, they worked on preview!
