12weeks - Iced buns....you've made me hungry. Could Bigonion drop some round?

12weeksandcounting · 24/01/2007 15:03

the whole thing - blimey if your actual nipple measures 4.5cm across then I will send you a prize!

bubblez · 24/01/2007 15:06

never have...

12weeksandcounting · 24/01/2007 15:12

Have just rang to get my Group Strep B test - free to get - just need to send cheque for £32 when you send back - needs to be done 35-37 weeks pg. Tel number is 020 7307 7373.

Any more measurements?!!

bubblez · 24/01/2007 15:14

5cms
I thought they were big but blimey!!
Don't think these's are measurements that i'll be telling anyone else

nuttygirl · 24/01/2007 15:16

Oh I must remember to get that test ordered...are you just doing it yourself or is the mw doing it for you? I meant to ask mine at the last appointment if she would charge for it.

Also have just seen a thread in Childbirth section about what to wear for labour. A few people are mentioning slipper socks...any opinions on whether this is a good idea?

geordiemacminx · 24/01/2007 15:19

I think mine are pretty big... cant reall wap them out onto the desk to measure them though...

Just a little thought ladies, theres a woman on the wanted section that is after any single bedding.. her ds is ill and keeps throwing up, she cant get the stuff washed in time.. had a little check, she's a regular MN'er, with 500+ posts. I'm in the process of sorting out my linen cupboard anyways so am gonna send some stuff rather than just binning it.. anyone else able to help?

12weeksandcounting · 24/01/2007 15:38

I was going to do it myself - its the bum thing

GMM - saw that post - haven't got anything at the moment though.

I got confirmation of my Maternity Allowance through today - I just need to send a form back confirming I accept amount when finish work. Only sent it last week so quite impressed by how fast they processed it. all that worry about missing forms etc!

Right - I have manouvered into my battleknickers - ds1 due home in 10 minutes, quick tea, football, bath, bed...!

Work tomorrow boo hoo!

AngeG · 24/01/2007 15:41

12weeks I was rather concerned that it was just your nipple that was 4.5cms Snap!!! Mine are 4.5cm also.

Katy44 · 24/01/2007 15:50

liath - fantastic news

nuttygirl · 24/01/2007 16:04

12weeks - Yeah I was thinking of doing it myself but not sure I'll be able to reach to do the bum bit so was thinking of asking mw...might just get DH to do it. Glad to hear your MA is sorted, I worried so much that the forms would get lost in the post especially cos I would have had to get all the payslips and stuff reissued from my old job and their HR dept can be pretty slow with stuff like that.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 24/01/2007 16:04

God women, stop chatting! I cannot keep up.
Woops, typed shatting instead of chatting - good job I noticed!

pmsl at all this nipple measuring talk. I have had a quick peak at mine, and will get the tape measure out earlier!!

Sorry people are still feeling crap. Not too bad here. Becky is not too coldy any more, but she looks so pale and tired. We have managed Gym and swimming though today, so can't feel too bad. Heading out shortly, as B in dire need of a hair cut. Dreading it, as she is a total nightmare at the hairdresser. Have to bribe her with chocolate buttons. Tempted to have them shave it all off so we don't have to come back for a while!!

Liath, fantastic news with regard to the scan - what a relief for you. Brilliant.

Right, need to go. See yu later and stop chatting!!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 24/01/2007 16:05

Meant to say I'll get the tape measure out later!! Have lost all sense of time!!

flumppootle · 24/01/2007 16:10

Oh Liath what fabulous news. I am so pleased for you. Cant really find the right words.

geordiemacminx · 24/01/2007 16:19

Really pleased a weight has been lifted from your shoulders Liath, hopefully you will be able to relax for the rest of your pregnancy!!!!

Think I might need one of those yard stick things for my nips...

liath · 24/01/2007 16:25

Am really chuffed, I'd been too scared to buy anything for the new baby & couldn't think beyond the image of him being wheeled off to be cut open as soon as soon as he was born. Had been trying to keep the anxiety under control but feel like a big wieght has gone.

Thanks so much for your good wishes & support. All the chitchat here has really helped keep me sane! I'm really glad your scan went well too, Pesha.

Now - can someone tell me exactly why I should be measuring my nipple diameter??.

flumppootle · 24/01/2007 16:34

mine are too cold to measure
will need to wait until have warmed up - lol!

charNbump · 24/01/2007 16:36

Haven't posted properly since i was like 16 weeks, but hello all! I'm due 18th April to all that have either a0forgotten me or b0never heard of me
Anyhoo.....
someone just told me i'm "getting tubby"!!!! hello i'm 28 weeks pregnant....and so this has sparked me to wonder.....how much weight have you guys put on roughly -ish (i don't want to seem rude). I was feeling very gd about myself but now am worried every1 keeps thinkin "who ate all the pies"

What this nipple measuring about too? lol confusion xx

geordiemacminx · 24/01/2007 16:42

I had only put on 3lb until I was 20 weeks... it went up rapidly after that... so I stopped getting weighed.. I reckoned that there was absolutely nothing I could do about it, and getting weighed would just make me miserable... so I havent bothered..

bubblez · 24/01/2007 16:42

To be honest I'm not sure why the need to measure nips I just got curious when someone else did theirs...

Welcome back btw!

Oh and the batteries to my scale have died but I am very interested as to how much weight I have put on this time. Put on over 4stone with dd if that helps any..

pmsl @ yard stick GMM... you're not alone

bubblez · 24/01/2007 16:44

Well I hope that it is just my batteries that have died and not that the scales have given out on me...

charNbump · 24/01/2007 16:49

Bubblez - it just bugs me why people feel the incessant need to comment on how
A. you're not showing that much
or
B. how huge u are
C. how cute ur bump is etc etc

I'm obviously gonna put weight on!!!! oh my.....don't mind me ....

So anyhoo, how's every1 enjoying the wonders of the 3rd trimester... nipple leakage, sleepless nights, cramp, not being able to pull yourself out the bath etc etc
ah the joy
x

charNbump · 24/01/2007 16:49

bubblez - ha! likin the comment x

claricebean · 24/01/2007 16:50

HLM - sorry the pox has got your house too. DD2 had first spots on Saturday. The bad itching was really only Sunday lunchtime until Tuesday lunchtime. Now she's absolutely fine, except v spotty still. Shame she can't go back to school really. We're all getting cabin fever so tomorrow will have to take them out for a walk, spots or no spots. Good chance to take out the new P&T!!!

Liath - many congrats. Must be such a wonderful feeling to know your LO is OK in there.

Hi everyone else.
30 weeks...hooray, hooray, hooray.

flumppootle · 24/01/2007 16:57

Hello CharNbump. I am fed up with those comments aswell, people seem to think that they can ask the most outrageous questions and pass crap comments just because we are pg. Grrr!
On the plus side though, Tesco man insisted on carrying shopping into my kitchen instead of leaving it in the hall and Boots lady wanted to carry my nappies out to the car.
Either very nice people or I look like an incapable blimp

Too scared to weigh myself - lol. Will worry about that next summer.
