A home for all of us enjoying the surreality of the first trimester. We're sick as dogs, exhausted to the core, our boobs hurt, we've developed superhuman senses of smell and we're shirking all alcoholic bevvies with a variety of lame excuses...

...we're preggers and over the moon! Join us if you're due in February 2017 and fancy wisdom for the weirdness, support for any sadness, and a safe place where you can get excited about what the future holds, before you go public!

Third thread already (we're a chatty bunch!) Second thread here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2662110-Due-in-February-2017-thread-2?

Great news evergreen

My dd brought her little stool into the bathroom so she child sit and watch me be sick this morning Hmm

CeeCeeEnnEss · 30/06/2016 10:50

YAY evergreen that's wonderful news!!!! So happy for you Grin

Jojoclaire · 30/06/2016 11:16

marjory sorry you're not well but I couldn't help chuckling at the image of your DD watching. Can you at least encourage her to hold back your hair?

And yes, sky, snacking on public transport is a new hobby of mine. I definitely got some funny looks eating a pork pie on the train home last night!!

LondonGirl83 · 30/06/2016 11:20

Congrats evergreen

I am really looking forward to my scan on Saturday.

LondonGirl83 · 30/06/2016 11:22

Oh Sausage we'll be scan buddies. I'll only be 7 weeks though.

twocatsandatoddler · 30/06/2016 11:24

Congrats evergreen!

I get travel sick too (physically sick as a child, but just nausea on windy roads these days), and had almost no nausea last pregnancy, and even less this time. My friend can read in the car and never gets remotely travel sick, but threw up every day of her pregnancy so it definitely doesn't follow that if you have one you get the other!

So much admiration for you ladies battling through with bad sickness, it's hard enough getting through the first trimester even if you feel well.

PhoebeGeebee · 30/06/2016 12:20

Oh I'm so happy for you evergreen - you must be so relieved. I know you think this feeling won't last but I totally totally chilled out once I'd seen bubs and a heartbeat. Your chance of a successful pregnancy is now 98%! Keep that in mind when you have any wobbles

Kellz92 · 30/06/2016 12:24

Hey everyone, hope youre well, struggling to keep up with the thread as all im wanting to do is sleep lol.

Had my booking in appt today and i have been prescribed aspirin for after my 12 week scan due to gestational hypertension last time and i have been prescribed a higher dose of folic acid to take with my vit D. I was told i will get extra scans at 28, 32, 36 and 39 weeks :) and i need to see a dietician, since im bigger but no problem, she said that should be a few weeks away. Over all really happy and shes lovely. Back to see her on the 14th July again,

Hope youre all well xxx

gumbootsandjandals · 30/06/2016 12:41

I'm still feeling v v bleurghhhhh. Struggling to eat and drink despite meds. Vomiting between 4-6pm ie kids'dinner and bedtime. A v sympathetic GP has given me a different drug (one I know will at least help me sleep) and has signed me off work for 2 more weeks. About to eat my daily lunchtime pastry...

Kellz92 · 30/06/2016 12:56

Gumboots what med do you have now? I hope youre okay honey!! i just have nausea more than vomiting now so hope youre feeling better soon, rest up xx

Hazandduck · 30/06/2016 13:05

This may sound weird but my symptom today is...itchy nipples!! 😂 The urge to give em a good old scratch is overwhelming lol! Not helpful when you are sat at a reception desk in a busy council office! Lol. The mood seems better on here today, here's to positivity! highhopes good luck for your scan, and everybody else waiting! X

HighHopes16 · 30/06/2016 13:16

Thanks Haz - I am SO nervous, I feel like a zombie today as had hardly any sleep last night- I just want to know now.

SpinALittleFaster · 30/06/2016 13:23

Great news dutchy and evergreen!

I'm sorry that you're feeling confused after your scan Haz. I hope you it's all ok Flowers

Phoebe has it bang on that the first trimester waiting is just torture. I had a much easier time with DD but it's still a total mind fuck wondering what's going on in there, especially if you're the sort of person who needs to know everything now.

MarjorySunshineDust · 30/06/2016 13:29

jojo I did get an encouraging pat on the leg and "poor mummy has got a sickness" Grin

Hazandduck · 30/06/2016 13:30

Thanks spin it really knocked me for six, I wish my impatience hadn't made me go for the early scan as it just put me on edge. Now have to wait 6 weeks for the next scan any way! highhopes that is the worst bit, the not knowing. Really thinking of you and hoping for the best xx

SpinALittleFaster · 30/06/2016 13:48

Sorry highhopes I thought I'd caught everyone. Everything crossed for good news tomorrow xx

Haz you'd probably be on edge if you hadn't gone for the scan. It might be worth speaking to your midwife about your concerns. She might tell you off for getting an early scan but she might decide it's worth an epu referral to monitor in a couple of weeks.

Hazandduck · 30/06/2016 13:52

I would talk to her but I have had the hardest time getting hold of her! I've got a midwife appt on Saturday the 9th of July when I thought I'd be 10 weeks but according to the early scan I'll actually be 7 and a half! So I didn't know if I needed to let her know in case it has to be delayed etc...but all I ever get is a voicemail, it doesn't fill me with confidence! I haven't actually spoken to her at all yet. She probably thinks I'm going to be a nightmare patient from all my worried text messages haha. But you are right spin I would have worried either way, it's my irritating nature! xx

Masweetpea1 · 30/06/2016 14:01

sausage & London , another scan buddy here! Mines at 3pm, I'll be 7+6.
I have darker Brown blood today (rather than light brown) though so keeping everything crossed we get good news.

Good luck high hopes for tomorrow.

Has anyone heard from hopeforme, i think her scan was today or tomorrow. X

Hazandduck · 30/06/2016 14:05

masweetpea I think she posted a few days ago saying no foetal pole :( I'm
Not 100 sure though a lot of names are similar and I get confused so sorry if that is incorrect xx

Kellz92 · 30/06/2016 14:23

Haz mine are itchy one day sore the next.
And as for the scan i had my early one at epu when i was 6+4 but baby measured 5+2, sonographer said its sommon and baby will catch up by 12 weeks, so just carrying on using lmp until 12 week scan.

High i have everything crossed for you

xxx

Masweetpea1 · 30/06/2016 14:24

haz, thanks Sad, for some reason i thought she had another scan this week. But i may be getting confused too.

Hazandduck · 30/06/2016 14:32

Ah kells that makes me feel so much better I feel like I am going crazy because I know I am further along than they say!! X

twocatsandatoddler · 30/06/2016 14:40

There's definitely a reason they have the dating scan around 12 weeks, because that's the most accurate time to measure due date based on size. So I wouldn't worry too much about measurements being a bit out of sync with dates early on. And I think due date is only accurate within a couple of weeks either way anyway, as most women give birth between 38 and 42 weeks!

Kellz92 · 30/06/2016 15:13

I agree, i spoke to the midwife as i know when i ovulated as i was temping and i said i know i may be a few days out as i always ovulate at CD17 so 3 days later, but not that far behind and she said the will take the date from the dating scan :) x

LondonGirl83 · 30/06/2016 15:28

Mas I think she does have another scan. I can't remember when it is though. Our threads move along so quickly its hard to look back.

Glad to hear we are scan buddies. I seem to be going the earliest! Hope we all get good news. I'm planning to get NIPT blood test at 9 weeks and will have another scan then. I've referred myself for booking in appointment but still haven't heard back so I might have loads done before I even start with my NHS process!
