A home for all of us enjoying the surreality of the first trimester. We're sick as dogs, exhausted to the core, our boobs hurt, we've developed superhuman senses of smell and we're shirking all alcoholic bevvies with a variety of lame excuses...

...we're preggers and over the moon! Join us if you're due in February 2017 and fancy wisdom for the weirdness, support for any sadness, and a safe place where you can get excited about what the future holds, before you go public!

Third thread already (we're a chatty bunch!) Second thread here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2662110-Due-in-February-2017-thread-2?

I did an advanced search and hopeforme last posted the below saying she also had a follow up scan tomorrow - maybe she will update us after that.

@Highhopes - Sorry to hear your news.

I too have to go back for a scan on Friday.
Have been bleeding since yesterday lunch time and myself and DH went to the EPU first thing today.
I had prepared myself for the worse as this is exactly how my m/c happened in Nov :(
A scan shows a gestational sac of about 5 weeks (my dates are correct to be 8 weeks) but no fetal pole. Continued bleeding means I'm in the process at the moment of miscarrying AGAIN :(
Am so annoyed I have to wait a whole week now because of protocols at the hospital needing to make extra sure before I can have the operation to remove any 'remaining products'.
The whole thing is traumatic, emotional and a rollercoaster I don't want to be on. So cruel!
Thank you for the few that have sent kind messages, it really does help to hear empathy and warmth when going through something that no one fully understands unless they too have unfortunately experienced this loss.'

Kellz92 · 30/06/2016 16:00

Bless! so much heartache, it really is heartbreaking :( xxx

Masweetpea1 · 30/06/2016 16:09

Ah thanks highhopes, didn't know how to do a search. Hope we hear how she's doing. x

gumbootsandjandals · 30/06/2016 16:16

kellz I have had cyclizine (reduces the nausea for about half an hour), metaclopramide (reduces for about an hour but makes me feel woozy) and now have promethazine, which I had last pg just to help me sleep. GP said to use it as much as needed though. GP said the other drugs should be giving me more relief than they are.

Preschool sent kids home with cake. Very difficult to take cake off a 3yo. She is now being a little shit, just as my vomit time hits. Brilliant. Husband will be late home tonight. Another solo bedtime with the 2 monsters.

Jojoclaire · 30/06/2016 16:41

I think those drugs sound worth trying, though I'm embarrassed to say (after my dissing of recommendations to try ginger) that ginger tea has helped no end today. As have pretzels!

gumboots How about combining the "cake-manhandling" and a well directed vom near the cake... Could be a win-win??

(I'm starting to question whether I'm fit to be a mother Confused)

LondonGirl83 · 30/06/2016 17:27

I found sparkling Elderflower which we have at work helps too!

I fund my nausea is really bad between 12 and like 6pm. I'm coming out of the worst of it soon. So weird that a few of us are hardest hit in the afternoon / evening rather than the morning.

gumbootsandjandals · 30/06/2016 17:35

She is being a demon child. A DEMON. Counting down the minutes til bedtime.

Masweetpea1 · 30/06/2016 17:37

So having said i have lost all my symptoms, I'm currently sat in the hairdressers trying not to throw up from all the smells! Arghhhhh.
But a good sign that i feel sick again Smile, somehow its a little comforting (in a really weird way!)

gumbootsandjandals · 30/06/2016 17:37

London I have a smell/taste disorder and elderflower tastes particularly revolting. I am really limited in what actually tastes non-disgusting.

Masweetpea1 · 30/06/2016 17:39

gum, i was counting down the minutes till nap time earlier, we went to messy monkeys, she was filthy and i was exhausted. Not a good combination!

Mas what a cutie!!!!!
How can something that small get so much dirt? Grin

shadz · 30/06/2016 17:58

Very cuteSmile

PhoebeGeebee · 30/06/2016 18:07

evergreen that's what the National Miscarriage Association says, and they seem like a pretty reliable source!

birdboo · 30/06/2016 18:11

I have just decorated a tiny corner of the bathroom and now laying in an exhausted heap. It wouldn't be so bad if I had actually done something today.

Today has been my worst day of nausea. The only thing that has helped is weak apple tea. I have been feeling a little bit worse every day since the bleed. I keep trying to remind myself it's a good thing.

Has anyone bought new bras yet? I seem to have already gone up from a B to a C. I'm wondering if it's worth getting a few cheap ones from primark. I already had to buy a sloggi top to sleep in. Blush

Evergreen17 · 30/06/2016 18:32

Bird my bras have started to feel quite uncomfortable
But i dont want to but a new bra now and then again in 2 weeks or a month Hmm

gumbootsandjandals · 30/06/2016 18:41

mas you are a braver mummy than me. I can't stand messy play. I am such a priss!

Demon child nightmare to get into bed but actually sounds like she's asleep, unlike the 1yo. I think his delayed MMR reactions are kicking in as he has a temp. I managed to bf him (had no milk last night but there was some tonight?!) and he has been drugged for good measure.

FlyingSpaghettiM0nster · 30/06/2016 18:57

Unfortunately I've lost this baby as well. I had a heavy bleed on Tuesday and my scan today confirmed a complete miscarriage. Going to take a break from ttc for a couple of months. 2 miscarriages in a row is just too much right now, I couldn't handle a 3rd.

Good luck to you all xx

wispaxmas · 30/06/2016 19:05

flying, I'm so so so unbelievably sorry FlowersSad

HighHopes16 · 30/06/2016 19:11

So sorry to hear that Flying sending you hugs. Flowers xx

Dutchy88 · 30/06/2016 19:11

flying I'm so sorry.

I've got another scan tomorrow and a hospital appointment (I'll be consultant led this pregnancy) as bleeding has continued and actually gotten worse. I'm hoping after the positive news on Tuesday its just one of those things but we shall see x

wispaxmas · 30/06/2016 19:12

gum, you have my sympathy, I've only been dealing with a monster since about 3:30 when we left a friend's house and I had to wrench a toy that wasn't hers away from her and the entire drive home was like this.
