A home for all of us enjoying the surreality of the first trimester. We're sick as dogs, exhausted to the core, our boobs hurt, we've developed superhuman senses of smell and we're shirking all alcoholic bevvies with a variety of lame excuses...

...we're preggers and over the moon! Join us if you're due in February 2017 and fancy wisdom for the weirdness, support for any sadness, and a safe place where you can get excited about what the future holds, before you go public!

Third thread already (we're a chatty bunch!) Second thread here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2662110-Due-in-February-2017-thread-2?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I take after my mum in the morning sickness respect! She always said she was too greedy to get it and I look to be going the same way!! Must not get fatter !!!

FriendlyGhost · 29/06/2016 23:14

Welcome allchange. Congratulations!
Sorry so many of you are feeling down. The hormones and uncertainty of the first 12 weeks are a bitch and I can't wait to get them over with and relax (a bit).
If it's any consolation my mum didn't get any morning sickness and hardly any symptoms-just a bit of tiredness. She had three healthy babies. It does seem that most of us are experiencing a level of symptoms though. Tiredness is a massive one so if you're tired but don't feel sick then count yourselves lucky. Trust me-I feel like death and I'm still as anxious as ever. I think only a daily scan would actually calm my nerves!

FlipperSkipper · 30/06/2016 06:24

Hi AllChange, congratulations! A heartbeat can usually be seen from 6w3d, most private scan places will scan you from 7w.

I have my appointment in the miscarriage clinic today, really hoping they get me some early scans booked.

Masweetpea1 · 30/06/2016 06:43

Good luck today evergreen x

HighHopes16 · 30/06/2016 06:53

Yes good luck from me too Evergreen x

twocatsandatoddler · 30/06/2016 07:18

I don't really have symptoms - I'm a bit tired but haven't really been nauseous since about 6-7 weeks, and my midwife didn't seem at all concerned on Tuesday, just said I was lucky! I don't think it helps to read into symptoms as all women are different so there's no normal.

It's hard though as I'm pretty sure everything is ok (no bleeding, no cramps) but it's really tough not knowing for definite as I can't rule out an mmc even if it's unlikely. I don't even have a scan date from the hospital yet and am 9+4 so no idea how much longer I'll have to wait to know for sure - hopefully just a few more weeks!

HighHopes16 · 30/06/2016 09:24

Oh wow, fantastic news Evergreen- Bet you are so relieved!
Could you send some luck my way for my scan tomorrow? I'm not feeling very hopeful after some more bleeding/cramps last night.

Masweetpea1 · 30/06/2016 09:24

Jojoclaire · 30/06/2016 09:25

Hazandduck · 30/06/2016 09:56

After my experience I have decided I am not doing a pregnancy test until after about 4 months of me thinking I'm pregnant! Blissful ignorance!

Evergreen17 · 30/06/2016 09:59

High sending you all the luck I can!!! StarStarStar

Thank you all SmileGrinSmileGrinSmile

Honestly the stress of the first weeks must be the worst!!!

Lets see how long my feeling of being relieved lasts for Confused

I bet next week I start worrying again!!

So if I am all good then I must be one of those lucky people that get no morning sickness? Hmm
It is weird because I usually get travel sickness and sometimes vertigo so I was expecting nausea. Good thing is that my colleagues know about my vertigo so if it happens I will be able to get away with it Wink

Evergreen17 · 30/06/2016 10:01

Yes hazand I will be telling people NEVER to test early. Test late and give yourself a couple of madness free weeks!!

SkyLucy · 30/06/2016 10:05

Ah, awesome pic Ever! Great news.

I am so, so, so sick today! Had to buy an emergency pack of Wotsits this morning and wolf them down on the bus into work. Gross, but it taught me a valuable lesson - NEVER look questioningly at any women eating weird snacks at weird times - there's likely to be a very good reason!

Yay! Brilliant news Evergreen.

Lucy1308 · 30/06/2016 10:27

Oh that's lovely ever!! It must be so wonderful to have heard the heartbeat!! I'm so excited for Sunday now it's ridiculous!!

SausageDogGeorge · 30/06/2016 10:35

I'm 7+5 today and I'm glad to find others feeling the same way as me - keep feeling really sick but haven't actually been sick yet. My boobs hurt so much that I wake up at night in agony! All good signs though I suppose! Have paid privately for an early scan which is on Saturday when I'm 8 weeks as had a miscarriage previously but didn't find out until 12 week scan Sad All we can do is hope for the best! Smile

themightymoosh I keep being really moody and horrible to my OH for no reason!! Think it must be my hormones Grin
