A home for all of us enjoying the surreality of the first trimester. We're sick as dogs, exhausted to the core, our boobs hurt, we've developed superhuman senses of smell and we're shirking all alcoholic bevvies with a variety of lame excuses...

...we're preggers and over the moon! Join us if you're due in February 2017 and fancy wisdom for the weirdness, support for any sadness, and a safe place where you can get excited about what the future holds, before you go public!

Third thread already (we're a chatty bunch!) Second thread here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2662110-Due-in-February-2017-thread-2?

I'm so sorry flying.
What cute little ones you have ma and wispa. Mine has also been a little horror today. She napped for 15 minutes in the car at lunchtime and decided that was it for the day. I'm staying with my parents so handed her over to my mum mid afternoon so I could lie down. I can't cope with nausea and yelling!
Don't know if they'll work for anyone else but I'm finding the tea pigs lemon and ginger tea is helping my nausea a bit.

Masweetpea1 · 30/06/2016 19:54

jpclarke · 30/06/2016 20:14

So sorry to hear your news Flying. Try and be good to yourself and I hope the hospital will be able to give you some answers two in a row just seems completely unfair and I hope you never have to experience one again in the future. FlowersCake

PhoebeGeebee · 30/06/2016 20:15

Flying - I'm so very sorry for you.

gumbootsandjandals · 30/06/2016 20:22

Desperate to eat something that would taste nice, I cooked up some chips, dumped a pile of salt on them, and drowned then in tomato sauce (ketchup to you ladies; got my veg in!). Ate them all AND also somehow managed to drink a whole glass of water. I also forced down a cold sausage that didn't taste that great. Will stick to chips next time!

Will take my new drug soon and hope for a good nights sleep.

I'm so sorry flying

H007 · 30/06/2016 20:47

flying I am so sorry for your loss, be kind to yourself x

I think what's worrying me so much about this pregnancy is how different it is from the last one. I have very light symptoms this time with nausea relating to lack of food or in the evening, tiredness and sore boobs. This time last time I was throwing up every day, most day 5 or 6 times, I had labrythitis, was signed off work, awful headaches and nausea most of the day. Additionally my BF had a mmc while she was living with us, so I suppose it's more real to me this time than last time. I'm also worries about telling her my news.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 30/06/2016 20:53

Just checking in, as I've been a bit slack.
Seems like everyone is having a fairly tough time at the moment. So sorry to hear about the losses SadSadFlowers

This is now my usual bedtime, I am so tired and so nauseous all of the time. I actually fell asleep on my DMs sofa today while just scrolling though my phone!
I have lost 8lb in weight over the last couple of weeks as my appetite is absolutely shot. I haven't actually been sick yet, as I hate it so much I'm try to avoid it as much as possible- there have been some very close calls!

I managed my night out yesterday using just the excuse that I was driving, no one questioned me any further and I actually managed to eat a bit with out retching! Home at 10:30 really took it out of me today, especially with DS getting up at 6:30amSad

7.5 weeks now. Fighting the urge to book in another early scan. There's a groupon offer in our area for an early scan at £50 which is making it even more tempting!

GinandJazzHands · 30/06/2016 20:54

flying I'm so sorry to hear such cruel news. Look after yourself FlowersFlowers

LondonGirl83 · 30/06/2016 20:55

Sorry Flying-- please take care of yourself

GinandJazzHands · 30/06/2016 20:58

I'm 6+3 today and have felt pretty much non stop nauseous since Monday, with my first proper vom this morning (weirdly feels like a milestone!) Telling myself I'm lucky (I have a friend who was hospitalised with that awful type where you vom all the time). Have an early scan booked a week Sunday - can't wait!

wispaxmas · 30/06/2016 21:06

ma, you might not have any of this to come, mine has always been... loud, to put it mildly.

I'm having a hard time following the thread as it can move so quickly... Is it still too early for us to make a Facebook group?

FriendlyGhost · 30/06/2016 21:24

H007 I have the same worry. I felt like death last time. Constant horrible nausea. This time I have on and off nausea but it's not nearly as bad. Every pregnancy is different though and we could be carrying a different gender. I also wonder for me if it's easier because I'm not doing a long commute and a stressful job. It's hard looking after a toddler but at least I can stay at home if I want.
Wispa I'm up for that. I'm in a Facebook group for my dd. It's a secret group which is great as it means no one else knows you're in the group and can ask to join so all the embarrassing conversations about poo and lady parts are kept private.

Masweetpea1 · 30/06/2016 21:29

wispa , i think the Faacebook group is a good idea but i would have to think about joining.
I didn't put anything about my previous pregnancy on Facebook but just announced the birth. It was interesting how many people i hadn't seen in that 9 months!!

I think even if you have a closed Facebook group your friends can see you're in it. So a 'due Feb 17' group would give the game away!! ' unless we can think of a more subtle name Wink

wispaxmas · 30/06/2016 21:30

Ma, it wouldn't just be closed, it would be secret, which means you need to be invited by email because the group cannot be found on a search and cannot be seen by anyone not in it - not even the title and that you're a member.

Kellz92 · 30/06/2016 21:31

gumboots I had that when I had gall bladder issues it's a good one! The cyclizine is just stopping me being sick still a bit of nausea :( but I don't feel bad enough to try another yet.

mas what a cutie pie

flying I am so sorry honey I truly am!!

wispa bless you!! My daughter has stayed at mums tonight and she text me saying she had a tantrum because my mum didn't go to the shop for fudges lol

gumboots I call it tomato sauce too lol, and also everything tastes bland to me! Went out to eat with hubby tonight and I could barely eat it, I'm barely hungry and nothing tastes right. :(

wispa I struggle with the thread too, Facebook would be easier!!

Well for some reason tonight after my positive appointment today I now have a stupid feeling baby has stopped growing. I know I'm being silly as I have lots of symptoms and I'm still bloating and feeling like I'm getting rounder by the minute. My private scan is on Saturday so only a few days to wait to find out. Xx

Masweetpea1 · 30/06/2016 21:34

wispa , I'm showing my lack of knowledge of Facebook! Blush a secret one sounds much better Smile

wispaxmas · 30/06/2016 21:34

Right, OK, I've made a group, it's secret, and I can add people if you PM me your email address. So far carrie and I are the only members, haha, so it's a bit of a lonely group.

Masweetpea1 · 30/06/2016 21:35

wispa , I'm showing my lack of knowledge of Facebook Blush a secret one sounds much better Smile

FriendlyGhost · 30/06/2016 21:38

Can you send me a pm wispa so I can reply? I'm hopeless and can't work it out!

FriendlyGhost · 30/06/2016 21:39

Ma I had the same reservations last time but it really is completely secret
