All are welcomed with open arms and TMI whether you come from our sister thread TTC#1 or just want a safe and friendly place to share your journey.

we have ladies from all stages of pregnancy from T1ers, trying to go cold turkey on their POAS addiction, to T2ers wondering where the heck their pregnancy glow got to, to T3ers wondering if that funny feeling is the start of labour or just a fart building.

So jump on the boat, join the pink or blue baby battle and enjoy TTC#1 Grads thread #8!

LisaTheSimpson · 22/06/2016 09:36

Glad you're ok, Shelb, that sounds scary x

Thanks for the hospital tips - I wouldn't have thought about pillows or cotton wool.

IndiX · 22/06/2016 09:40

Oh shelb that would've been scary. So glad you're ok.

Here's my 24week bump, before breakfast may I add so I do look bigger as the day goes on

PotatosMum · 22/06/2016 09:43

Ever don't get the Angel sound. When I get home tonight I'll tell you the make of mine, it's much better Smile

Eee Bunch you're nearly there! I recon you're going to be our first grad, grad Confused

shelb hope you get discharged soon. Thanks for the hospital tips.

So not interested in work today.. Only 3 days to go!!!

Danni89 · 22/06/2016 09:46

Glad to hear everything is ok shelb.. And thanks for the heads up.

Time is going soooo bloody fast bunch I'm pretty much booked up every weekend too.. Got 3 weddings to attend over summer Shock

indi I use a nasal spray that was prescribed to me, it's called beconase (I think lol)

lauren - I also have days where I panic about money etc. My package is full pay for 18 weeks then smp... But yeah our lifestyles will change and we won't be spending half as much

shelbTa · 22/06/2016 09:59

Indi - that's the kind of figure I worked towards pre preggo!!!!! You look fab.

X

PotatosMum · 22/06/2016 10:38

Indi I second Shelb, I would have killed for that figure pre pregnancy!!

BunchOfBobs · 22/06/2016 11:13

Indi you look epic!
I'm just going to take my whale self back to my sewing machine.
I may as well be wearing a tent today the size of my maternity dress I'm wearing. It's HUGE, but so comfy.

I've officially got cankles but only on he inside of my ankles. So bizarre.

Mileymoocow · 22/06/2016 11:27

God indi you look phenomenal! I can still see obliques!

bunch I'm laughing way too much at your "I'm going to cry now" announcement 😂😂

Glad all is okay shelb!

After a day of little movement on Monday, baby has certainly made up for it these past couple of days. First time I've been woken up because of somersaults! 3am is no fun at all though.

potato definitely wind down the at work! Take it easy. Only 62 working days left until I go on mat leave! Seems like forever, though and some of you will already be mummies!!! Grin

BunchOfBobs · 22/06/2016 11:37

Miley glad to hear baby is making up for it now.and I've made you laugh, honestly I seems slightly insane that day. I was bouncing on my birthing ball at the time too, must have looked a right sight.
Pip likes to wake me up at 1/2am and 4ish daily for dance parties. Honestly I've no idea how I'm ever going to wrestle him into clothes when he moves this much!

To show you all I'm not exaggerating about the tent....

In my defence I bought a vintage DP maternity dress on eBay. It was hideous so I dyed it black. It's only marginally better now but it's linen so it's cool and it's majorly tent like so I'm super comfyGrin

Mileymoocow · 22/06/2016 12:02

Comfort is all that counts these days bunch, but I don't think it looks bad at all! I'd happily wear it.

Still undecided what to vote tomorrow Hmm really must spend my lunch looking into it myself

IndiX · 22/06/2016 12:14

Aww ladies I could cry damn hormones you've been so lovely. I've got to say though I'm not one of those annoying people who can eat crap and get away with it, I have been gym-ing it most days and eating pretty well. Except for an influx of chocolate the last week. But it is hard seeing your body change and I don't think anything can prepare you for it.

Bunch I love a comfy outfit and basically live in my pyjamas from 4pm most days. Comfort is what counts definitely!

PotatosMum · 22/06/2016 13:19

Bunch that dress looks sooo comfy!

So, I managed to get all through the morning without killing the hippy but she's doing my head in again. I don't think she realises that she talks over and down to people. I'm sure she only winds me up so much because I'm hormonal.

Today's the last day with my boss and she brought in a lovely bag of baby stuff which was really lovely. I'm pretty sure I don't need anything else now for the first few months Smile

T3ers, does your baby ever fidget/kick so hard that it hurts? Sometimes it feels like Potato is rolling over and it's really uncomfortable.

OP posts:
Sodasoda · 22/06/2016 13:32

That sounds really scary shelb, glad everything is ok. And thanks for the tips!

indi you look fab!

bunch you look great. Can I be cheeky and ask where you got your lampshade / wall stickers from?! not a weird stalker I promise

Echo what people are saying about time flying by! I'm so busy this summer. I have 2 weddings - including one where I'm bridesmaid at 37 weeks! plus 2 hen dos! danni do you have wedding outfits planned?

Off to the mothercare parent event tonight and really looking forward to it!

Sodasoda · 22/06/2016 13:34

Ooh potato, now I'm official T3er I can comment! I tend to feel a lot more very regular squirming with the odd few swift kicks interspersed but so far nothing painful just more of a 'ooh' shock when it's a big kick.

shelbTa · 22/06/2016 13:35

Thanks ladies.

Bunch that dress looks like comfort!!

Yes re moving potato - not hurt as such but uncomfortable enough to have to move.

Turns out I've got uti, waiting for antibiotics, knew I felt sick recently.

X

BunchOfBobs · 22/06/2016 13:53

Thanks for the tent comments ladies Grin

Aww Potato that is so lovely of your boss.
Yes to the hurting/uncomfortableness. I find it worse when I'm stood up but ouch yes!

It's not cheeky or stalkerish at all Soda Smile. Lampshade is from John Lewis £15. Wall stickers are from Amazon. £8.98 BARGAIN, just huge effort to put up.

Sodasoda · 22/06/2016 14:03

Thanks bunch! The lampshade caught my eye as thought it was very similar to the outrageously expensive curtains we're getting made and I was right - it's the same pattern! We have excellent taste Smile

Sorry about the UTI shelb. You have my sympathy with those. I'm now on antibiotics until baby arrives to stop me getting any more infections!

BunchOfBobs · 22/06/2016 14:06

Indeed soda! JL sell curtains to match and we considered getting them but with the decal too thought it was too leafy for a small room.
I want to see more nursery photos GrinAnyone else progressed with theirs?

PotatosMum · 22/06/2016 14:20

Shelb oh no, sorry you've got a UTI Sad bloody stupid things.

Bunch I've found a similar wall sticker, it's a white silver birch with yellow leaves and white doves. I'm going to put it on a dark grey wall (other walls will be lighter) and cover the ceiling in glow in the dark stars Smile can't wait to get started on it!!!

Glad I'm not the only one with an uncomfortably squirmy baby. Confused

Has anyone chosen a vibrating chair thingie and a floor gym. I keep looking at them but there's too much choice!!!

OP posts:
Danni89 · 22/06/2016 14:56

soda- I have a couple of midi type dresses from Asos... I literally can't wait to shop for normal clothes! And to sleep on my belly!! However I've loved not having periods lol

BunchOfBobs · 22/06/2016 15:02

Potato we have similar taste, I have 1000 glow in the dark stickers sat in my Amazon basket awaiting to be purchased when I can convince DH he's putting them up Grin The wall sticker sounds lovely. You must be excitingly planning all the decoration now?

My parents have bought us this

www.mothercare.com/Graco-Cozy-Duet-2-in-1-Swing/874231,default,pd.html

Because of the offer and it's a swing or a rocker. It also vibrates. Just waiting on it arriving next month now as its on pre order.

PotatosMum · 22/06/2016 15:11

Bunch the glow in the dark stars just have to be done Grin I can't wait to get decorating... I although my OH is awful at getting his own way so I can't see myself getting much input on the rest of the house Confused

That swing thingie looks good... I might have to look on the mothercare website. I looked in store the other day but the selection was a bit pathetic Sad

OP posts:
PotatosMum · 22/06/2016 16:44

They look good Miley Smile

Well it's my turn to have a hormonal outburst today. I got home about half an hour ago and promptly burst into tears and I feel really guilty about it as it was because apart from my manager no one said or did anything about my leaving and no one's in on Friday so that's it.
Hardly anyone even bothered to sign my card and my manager just said she didn't think I'd want a fuss. I wanted a little bit of a fuss after three years in the department Sad

To make it worse people are always saying "I didn't think you'd want a fuss" to me and I have no idea why. I always take part in the fuss that's made over other people and it's not as if I go round telling people I don't like it. I just don't get why I'm never treated the same. Sad

Ok, self pity over. I'm going to chill out and do some cross stitch until OH gets home. Then I'm going to try not to cry on him Blush
