Welcome to yet another instalment of TTC#1 grads. Warning! This thread moves fast so blink and you may miss a page or three!

All are welcomed with open arms and TMI whether you come from our sister thread TTC#1 or just want a safe and friendly place to share your journey.

we have ladies from all stages of pregnancy from T1ers, trying to go cold turkey on their POAS addiction, to T2ers wondering where the heck their pregnancy glow got to, to T3ers wondering if that funny feeling is the start of labour or just a fart building.

So jump on the boat, join the pink or blue baby battle and enjoy TTC#1 Grads thread #8!

Hello grads!! Long time no see! You guys have been busy....thread 8! Some of the originals must be nearing due date soon!! Must go catch up on the thread!

Week 14 is great!! I feel fabulous!! Actually I just feel normal but after almost 10 weeks of daily baby hangover I forgot how good normal feels!!😀

Hey Stark! Thanks for the heads-up on the name change! That was a great scan photo! We had our first NHS one last week....so detailed!! Saw the different hemispheres of the brain, the spine, even counted fingers!!😀

Pink I only got a free mini sudocrem in mine!

Hi ni!!! Beautiful scan! Grin hopefully you continue to feel normal.

My bounty pack contained out of date vouchers and an out of date teabag. I wasn't impressed!

audrey I must refrain from reading. I get easily agitated at the least hormonal of times so now is probably not a good idea

PotatosMum · 13/07/2016 21:56

Ni long time no see Grin lovely scan photo Smile

Bunch hope you enjoyed your jaunt to IKEA Smile

Indi congrats on week 27, sorry you feel rough though.

Miley that's fantastic news about OHs job Grin

I signed up to loads of the free baby stuff sites when I found out I was pregnant and promptly unsubscribed when I got spammed to hell.
It's a bit disturbing to hear about bounty sales people being let onto wards though. God help them if they try selling something to me, OH says I live to be rude to sales people even at the best of times so post labour I may just cut through the preliminaries and tell them to p off. Hmm

Excellent news Miley.
I'm doing much better thanks, I've spoken to dad today which has made a huge difference and he sounds remarkably well. We'll know more tomorrow about when he can leave the hospital/come home.

Lovely scan Ni.

Audrey those threads are right up my street!

Thanks Potato I did, the distraction was very welcome. We have a huge photo wall in our living room so managed to convince DH we should buy a load more frames so we can add Pip photos to it. Got a couple more shelves for the nursery and a load more wine glasses. PIL coming tomorrow for at least a week to keep me sane and MIL has an awful habit of smashing our crystal glasses. These are definitely MIL friendly.

LisaTheSimpson · 13/07/2016 22:51

Glad to hear the news, Bunch. Lovely you've been able to speak to your Dad and get a good idea of how he is. Fingers crossed for more good news tomorrow about coming home.

Stardrey - some of the stories on those threads are horrible! I know most of it is from four years ago (does it still happen?), but I felt so much anger in their behalf about how they were treated at such a vulnerable time

Welcome, Ni! So lovely to see you here, and glad to hear everything is going well!

Morning! Been informed by OH that the I'm new well and truly in the preggo snore club. Woops! Apparently I was giving the dog a run for his money and that's pretty bad Blush I have a sore throat and lots of snot so it could be a cold on its way just in time for the weekend.

I've discovered even milk is giving me heartburn. bunch if you don't mind me asking, what do the doctors prescribe? I wouldn't normally bother but I'm spending about £15 a week on tablets and gaviscon Hmm figure I might as well take advantage of my bump and get it for free! Would I have to ring up and make an appointment and just ask him when I'm there for a prescription? I don't do doctors usually. I hate am terrified of anything clinical. Good job I work in a lab for a pharmaceutical company eh Confused

Hope everyone is ok!

PotatosMum · 14/07/2016 07:52

Bunch glad you got to speak to your dad and that he's sounding well. Hopefully they'll be able to give you a time frame for his return home today Smile
Sounds like you managed to have a productive day at IKEA. I want to go now but can't buy anything until we move so I'm not convinced OH will be persuaded.

Hopefully, OHs house is completing today so we will be rich for five minutes Grin still no news on our sale or purchase though and I'm getting increasingly twitchy. I just want to move Sad

Miley- your doc can prescribe you the gaviscon for free, just explain your heartburn symptoms. I've got a NHS Maternity exemption card that will last me until a year after birth that's proof of free prescriptions and dental care- but not sure if this is what they do in all areas??

Pinklily1 · 14/07/2016 08:32

Danni, I think that's a nationwide thing. I have one too and am in the same area as Miley. My dentist told me to have as many check ups as possible whilst it is valid to save a bunch of money!

LisaTheSimpson · 14/07/2016 08:50

Fingers crossed on good news on your house soon, Potato!

Also, I think we need a new thread again (we all talk far too much Grin). Would you do the honours?

BunchOfBobs · 14/07/2016 09:34

Miley I'm prescribed ranitidine and Peptac. Peptac is the gaviscon equivalent and I X a buy it in the pharmacy for just over £3. Might be worth a try whilst waiting to see gp. I've never actually had to see one for mine. I was first prescribed it by the consultant in the hospital and then have just phoned to ask gp for a repeat.

Spoken to mum this morning. Dad is allowed out of bed today to walk around his room. If that goes well tomorrow he can walk around the ward and then be out the hospital in the next 7 days. No mention of flight yet. His flight is booked home for the evening of the 22nd so I'm keeping my fingers crossed they're allowed to get it. Another scan today and the poor man is already bored out of his mind. Apparently even the hotel staff keep going to visit him, bless.

Sodasoda · 14/07/2016 10:50

Glad to hear your dad is doing better bunch.

miley I swear by the nose strips you can buy in chemists to stop me snoring - seem to work pretty well according to DH. And great news about your OH's new job!

Hope you get some good news on your house today potato

Great scan and nice to 'meet' you ni

So after an exhausting day at a work event yesterday my ankles have gone missing! Hello cankles!! They're enormous! Had trouble getting shoes on to go to work today. Anything I can do to help (apart from feet up which is a bit tricky at my desk)?

BunchOfBobs · 14/07/2016 10:57

Soda hydrate hydrate hydrate. Water retention is usually the cause.

PotatosMum · 14/07/2016 11:15
