I've got my 16 week appointment tomorrow as well Stark Smile

How is Cyprus Pink?

Danni89 · 21/06/2016 20:58

I didn't get to hear the baby's heartbeat at 16weeks, midwife said they don't do it incase they can't pick it up and mums get worried

I had my whooping cough vaccine today.. Ouch achy arm, but apart from that all good. Also got a 1 litre prescription for gaviscon lol Shock

Congrats on the house news potato!

leoniethelioness · 21/06/2016 21:06

In my area they don't listen to the heartbeat until 25 weeks onwards.

IndiX · 21/06/2016 21:15

Stark I got to listen to baby's heartbeat at my 16week appt, I hope they do it in your area.

Just booked my last holiday before becoming a mum! Going away next month with my mum for a nice week in Majorca, I'll be 28 weeks then so hopefully not too huge or uncomfy.

Potato so glad to hear about the house!! Grin

Planeteer · 21/06/2016 21:54

Stark am so with you at the ridiculous crying. I sobbed at the injustice of having forgotten I'd already eaten the last cornetto out of the freezer when I fancied a treat earlier, and last week had a day at work when I spontaneously burst into tears 4 (f-o-u-r) times at my desk! My (all male) team now think I'm mental.

My 16 week appt was later like yours (had it at 19+4), and they listened to the heartbeat then. Fingers crossed they will for you too.

Potato yaaaay about house news! Can you breathe a sigh of relief now? We had our mortgage valuation chat on Saturday and am waiting on approval now. Fingers crossed! God this house buying lark is a right old faff! Would like the elves to do it for me.

Pink hope you're having a fab time! We're off to Marrakesh on Thursday and I can't wait.

Feefeefs · 21/06/2016 22:10

Yeah congrats potatoes.

Just introduced the idea of perineal massage to DH he looks very unsure.

Oh god starky I roared crying for ages last night over orange is the new black, nearly had DH crying too!

LisaTheSimpson · 21/06/2016 22:17

Bloody hell, these itchy boobs! You guys weren't kidding about the itchiness! Confused

Sodasoda · 21/06/2016 22:21

They listened to heartbeat at my 16 week appointment starky, I guess it must depend on where you are in the country.

Jealous of people's hols! Hope you're having lovely time.

So how do you know if you've got piles?! Can you see them? I had blood on toilet paper today and it was agony going for first poo in about a week. Definitely arse javelins. So does this mean I have piles? I can't see anything strange (I've looked with a mirror!!).

PotatosMum · 21/06/2016 22:25

Co5mo enjoy your holiday. I love Italy, I keep trying to convince OH that we should go but he hates flying and I'm not brave enough to drive there Italian drivers are mental!!!

Miley if it feels like someone poking your cervix with a very sharp finger nail, then yes Hmm

Stark I shouldn't laugh but I had to giggle at your hormonal outbursts... Don't worry they usually only last for a day then go back to manageable levels Grin
Oh and last week I cried all the way home from town because I didn't want to go home but I also didn't know where I wanted to go and OH wouldn't make my mind up for me. Then I cried some more because I decided that I did want to go home but OH kept arguing that I didn't and telling me to just choose somewhere to go. Confused

My midwife/consultant listens to the hart beat at every appointment after 12 weeks. I also have a home Doppler though and half the time I have to show the professionals how to use theirs Hmm

Pink hope you're having fun on your holls Smile

Planet I hope your mortgage application goes nice and smoothly.
Yes, we can breath again. It's just a matter of finishing off the paperwork now. We also exchanged on OHs old house today so we know when we'll be getting the money from that. I feel like I can get on with the packing properly now knowing we really are moving.
Unfortunately our buyer has now decided she wants to come round for the third blinking time next week... I have not cleaned properly since she put in an offer and the flat now has floor to ceiling boxes everywhere so really annoyed that she can't just wait but can't really say no.

Are any of you ladies still having tummy troubles? Ive had a really upset stomach today and all my tummy muscles hurt. I'd blame the food last night but I seem to be the only one suffering Sad

PotatosMum · 21/06/2016 22:28

Soda that sounds like piles. Whether they're visible depends on the size and type... You may need to have a poke about your bum hole for swelling. Once again, the glamour of pregnancy Hmm

Stupidly late for roll call.

Lauren, 25, 25+6 with a girl who making up for not kicking for the first 25 weeks all in one night :)

Woke up at 4am on sunday freaking out about money whilst on ML, 2 days layer I realised i was budgeting for my previous lifestyle of meals out every few days, boozy weekends and general London prices. Took my mother to remind me that that's all over and what we have after all outgoings are plenty for family life up north, so I have been wasting my time worrying! I blame the hormones!

Hope everyone is well!

IndiX · 22/06/2016 05:35

Had one of the worst nights sleep of my pregnancy so far. My hayfever is really bad and I'm so bunged up, I can hardly breathe.
Anyone got any ideas on what I can do for hayfever or blocked sinuses?

leoniethelioness · 22/06/2016 07:23

26 weeks today! Baby is the size of a bowling pin... or a slow loris!!

Sodasoda · 22/06/2016 07:24

Thanks potato, I'll have a poke around my bum hole!!

indi - I suffer a lot from sneezing, sore sinuses and apparently now horrendous snoring! I bought some of those nose strips from boots and they've really helped. I feel I can breathe better at night and I've stopped snoring so maybe give them a try?

28 weeks today, T3 here I come! Grin

Evergreen17 · 22/06/2016 07:33

Hi grads
Question from newbie BlushSad
I am 6 weeks today according to lmp but the only symptoms I have are tiredness (so tired all the time) and sore breasts.

No morning sickness and I dont feel pregnant. I dont feel any pain or anything.
Just tired and sore boobs

Sad
Evergreen17 · 22/06/2016 07:45

On another note, if I make it to 12 weeks I am so buying this!

Thread #8 - TTC#1 Grads - stripy bump photos ahoy!
PotatosMum · 22/06/2016 07:46

Lauren it's so easy to freak out about money but babies are actually not that expensive... It's children who bankrupt you Wink

Soda yay for T3... Or more appropriately considerations, it all gets a lot more uncomfortable from here on in Confused

Ever don't worry, every pregnancy is different and if you're not being sick every five minutes or feeling dreadful I'd just thank your lucky stars and assume everything is fine Smile

Another awful nights sleep here. My tummy muscles are killing me and I just can't get comfortable. Also kept dreaming about my ex who is an irritating pillock!!!

Last day with my team at work today Sad finish work on Friday but I'll be all on my lonesome.

Congrats on T3, Soda! What a milestone!

Ever - that's completely normal, don't worry. I only had fatigue as a symptom until around 6 weeks, then sickness kicked in pretty quickly and didn't go away until around 20 weeks (not to scare you - hope you don't get it!). I was also feeling a little weird about not having symptoms, but then when the sickness kicked in, I wished it would go away (even though my DH was strangely pleased I was sick as it hopefully meant things were going ok)...

Enjoy it while you can and I hope it lasts!

IndiX · 22/06/2016 08:39

Thanks soda I'll give them a try. Thankfully I got another couple of hours sleep but my mouth is so dry from not being able to breathe through my nose. Congrats on T3, not long now!
I'm 24 weeks today, Beanie is the size of a puffin!

BunchOfBobs · 22/06/2016 08:42

Omg Leonie Theodorable and Theosarus are the CUTEST nicknames!!

Sounds like fanny daggers Miley, they make
Me jump they're so sharp.

Oh Starky, bless you sorry but your reasons for crying did make me chuckle. We've all been there. I cried the other day for no reason whatsoever, just announced "I'm going to cry now" then switched between sobbing and hysterical crying. DH proper laughed at me the shit.
It is me with the Peptac. I asked them to try listen even though they don't routinely do it until 18 weeks apparently.

Potato on and off I still have an upset tum.

Congrats on T3 Soda.

Had my last hypno class last night (until a refresher session at the end of July). I'm really sad it's over. Next week is our anniversary and we're off to a Michelin star restaurant for a taster menu (minus all the fun stuff for me) then it's nhs classes from the week after for 3 weeks, followed by my hypno refresher then it's 2weeks +4 until edd aaaahhh!! That really puts it into perspective how soon this will fly around.

shelbTa · 22/06/2016 09:16

Morning ladies

How is everyone?

Congrats on house potato!!

Bunch - hear ya, we've got stuff on every week until baby now, puts a real timeline on it.

Well, I'm currently in hospital having had some bleeding yesterday - I'm fine as is baby, no need to worry, discharged soon after scan. But, on ward with two newborns as postnatal ward full - here's what I learnt from being here and listening in!!!!...

T3ers need to carry notes round everywhere we go - I got bollocked for not having mine.
It's WELL hot and stuffy - reckon really light pjs for us delivering August / September.
Need nappy bags.
Deffo need cotton wool for babies butt as they wont give it out.
Extra pillows.
Flip flops for showers and maybe own towel.
Snacks.

X

Planeteer · 22/06/2016 09:19

Eek shelb am glad you and little one are ok. That must have been scary Chocolate

BunchOfBobs · 22/06/2016 09:33

Shelb glad you're okay. Must have been a fright. I learned the same just from my day trips to the observation ward. Also ear plugs and eye mask.
Re:notes, it helps I'm so remote where I live. You literally can't go anyway without driving. I leave mine in the car, then I'm never without them.

Evergreen17 · 22/06/2016 09:34

Wait I didnt ask the question Grin
I meant is this normal?

Evergreen17 · 22/06/2016 09:36

Ahhh thank you for your answers Smile
