Thanks for all your kind wishes. Funeral is planned for Sunday/Monday.

Elle 2-3 weeks is normal to wait for a rescan because baby hides. It really is a great opportunity to see baby again...I should know, I've had two extra scans so far.

Just a word of warning on your cats ladies. I don't know what current advice is but it would be worth checking that you're not storing up problems for yourselves. My friend has had a complete nightmare with very distressed cats (spraying the moses basket etc) and has eventually goven her cats up.

AudreyBradshaw · 11/07/2016 20:17

elle don't worry, we nearly had to go back after 3 weeks too because baby wasn't behaving, being stubbornly back to back and refusing to turn. We had to go for a walk and then another wiggle. So ended up being scanned 3 times in total.

PotatosMum · 11/07/2016 20:18

Bunch no news on completion yet. I'm going to give it until Thursday when the other house completes before I chase them.

Canters good luck on the house move this weekend.

Indi I walk round in my knickers all the time unless I'm going out or we're expecting company Blush

Elle I'm sorry they couldn't do all the checks but I'm sure your little one is fine. They just have to do the checks to be doubly sure.

Thanks for the reassurance girls - some people always have to stick in their 2 penceAngry

Oh elle- thinking of you.. I'm sure everything is fine and your LO is just being stubborn.. And as others have said, at least you get to see bub again soon

ElleSarcasmo · 11/07/2016 20:53

Thanks for the reassurance everyone, I'm feeling much better now Smile. Co5mo were your extra scans because baby was hiding?

We are planning to stay team Vanilla Pink though have been tempted to find out!

I'd like to walk round in my knickers more Potato but unfortunately our windows are overlooked, we need to sort some blinds out! Hopefully completion won't be too far away for you.

Co5mo · 11/07/2016 22:00

THe first extra scan was because he was hiding Elle. At my 20 week scan when they got me to move around to get him to move he only buried himself further down in my pelvis. The extra one last week was a growth scan at 26 weeks because my fund height wasn't big enough and it was a close call to get everything they needed...I appear to have a shy little one.

AudreyBradshaw · 11/07/2016 22:09

How many 0-3 month sleep suits are people getting? And like newborn essential stuff? I'm trying to create a list so me and dm don't go too mad and over buy.

I've got an angel care baby bath seat, lansinoh cream and boudrouxs baby butt paste! Extensive and complete I think you'll all agree! Grin

Sodasoda · 11/07/2016 22:11

Sorry you were disappointed with your scan elle. How many weeks are you? I was only actually 18+6 when I had 20 week scan and they really struggled to see all the bits of the heart they needed to so were going to get me to come back in 3 weeks once baby was bigger. In the end they managed to get in a more experienced sonography from next door room and she could get the measurements. I've had growth scans since (another one next week at 32 weeks) and it's lovely to see the little one again so, although it's worrying, try to look at it as a positive too. Hope that makes sense.

Re sleeping try not to worry danni. I know that sleeping on left is best but I often wake up on my back snoring like a walrus it can't be helped!

So I had another poo today! 2 days in a row! Very exciting! I'm not sure what I'm doing differently but I'm worried if I think about it too much I'll scare it away Grin

Also - is anyone getting a LOT of CM? I'm getting quite a lot of yellow / whitish stuff in pants and I feel quite wet a lot of the time. Really sorry this is such a gross TMI post girls! Hopefully everyone has eaten by now!! Blush

Co5mo · 11/07/2016 22:36

I am doing some light bedtime reading Audrey. According to Gina Ford, 4-6 sleepsuits should be bought. 6-8 vests, 4-6 day outfits plus a few cardigans socks hats mittens shawls jacket and a snowsuit for winter babies. If she's right I think some of us may have bought a few too many. Grin

BunchOfBobs · 11/07/2016 22:45

Ha co5mo that show many I'm taking to hospital!!! I'm way over prepared!!

Audrey I have ALOT. If you've seen my drawer organisation you'll know. Overboard has definitely been done here.

Elle everyone else has already said if but just to second everything, look on the bright side of being able to see the little one again. I've got a growth scan on Friday and I'm really looking forward to seeing him again.

Pip has been a shit since about 6pm. Literally DH walked through the door and the dog started acting up and so did Pip. Apparently now he likes to stretch every limb at once. Arms go straight into my colon(feels like it) and bladder. It's so so painful. And he didn't let up for 3 fecking hours!! I've seen feet dancing across my bump this evening. DH announced he was feeling quite freaked out by all the movement.

Soda I get the most delightful discharge after every pee. If I don't have a liner on it will soak through even jeans. I thought I was peeing myself the first few times but it's obvious when dry what it was and sometimes it's thicker other times more watery. Pantyliners are my friend. I now try to hang around in the loo for a few minutes to catch it with tissue but it's inevitably always when I've got to the next room that it happens.

AudreyBradshaw · 11/07/2016 22:59

In which case I've already bought too much lol, I was stood in asda going 'how many do you think is enough dh? Like 20? 30?' And a woman walked past and went '10 will be more than enough, love'.

bunch would you be willing to send me your harem pant pattern by any chance? I'm thinking of starting doing my bibs (and just in case headbands) next week but I think matching them with some little jazzy pants to go with would be amazing! Grin

BunchOfBobs · 11/07/2016 23:10

Of course Audrey. Here's the link.

https://sew4bub.com/2015/10/19/grow-with-me-baby-harem-pants-free-pattern-and-tutorial/

I was very tempted to do bibs but I've already bought about 40 Blush

AudreyBradshaw · 11/07/2016 23:22

Aaah bunchy you're a complete legend! It's got a tutorial too! Amazing! Thank you so much! I'm struggling to find properly bright patterned but unisex stuff so that will be perfect! Grin

leoniethelioness · 12/07/2016 06:45

Audrey I've bought (new) 10 vests and 10 sleepsuits in 0-1 and 0-3. He's going to swear sleepsuits all the time at first. I have got other things (secondhand) off family, eBay and car boot sales. I think how many you need depends on if you have a tumble dryer etc.

Is the Gina Ford book any good?

BunchOfBobs · 12/07/2016 06:46

You're very welcome Audrey. You just have to agree to post photos Grin

PotatosMum · 12/07/2016 08:16

Morning ladies, how are you today?

I was rudely awakened by BH this morning, not impressed! I know my body needs to practice but I don't see why it needs to practice at 5am Hmm

Elle glad you're feeling better Smile
You definitely need blinds, I'm dreading DSS moving in with us because it means no more wandering around in my pants... I might have to make myself a selection of house coats to make up for it Grin

Audrey I've got about 20 baby grows, 15 sleep suits, 3 outfits, 4 little hats, 2 cardigans, 3 bibs and 8 muslin squares. I also have 2 heavy blankets, 1 medium, 4 light and 1 heavy sleeping bag and 1 light one.
OH said that 10 sleep suits & baby grows is the minimum you want unless you want to spend all your time washing baby clothes Confused
I figure anything else I need I can pick up once Potato's born Smile

Soda yay for poop! Wink not much CM here but I think it's fairly common.

Bunch I second the painful baby movements. I swear Potato has the pointiest elbows in the world and she knows exactly how to use them!
I now understand all the memes saying that the T2 is all "aww baby kicks" T3 is "Get this baby out!"

NHS parent craft class this afternoon. I'm a bit nervous about it which I know is silly. It doesn't help that OH has to work so I'm going to have to go on my own and stupidly I'm worried people with think I'm a single mum. Blush

ElleSarcasmo · 12/07/2016 08:16

Thanks everyone. I'm feeling more rational today! It will be nice to see him/her again. I was 20 weeks yesterday Co5mo so will be about 23 weeks or so when they repeat the scan.

Bunch it sounds like movement is something I really want until it actually starts happening?!

Stupid question-does baby wear a vest and a sleepsuit at the same time?!

Jojo Maman are having a sale at the moment-they have some nice maternity things if anyone needs anything.

Hope everyone has a good day.

ElleSarcasmo · 12/07/2016 08:22

Love the sound of house coats Potato! I'm wearing my dressing gown a lot. T3 sounds ouch! It'll be a while for me before I feel any movements I think as placenta is anterior. Leonie did you have an anterior placenta? Do you feel movements a lot now?

Hope your parent craft class goes well Potato, I would think a few people will come on their own if it's in the middle of the working day, nobody will judge you!

Pinklily1 · 12/07/2016 08:36

Good luck today Potato! Don't worry about going on your own. There was a girl at mine there with her mum and no one batted an eye lid.

I've only got about 5 vests and 5 sleep suits so far, all in 0-1 month, but I'm going to stock up on some newborn a few weeks before baby arrives and then if she is too big and doesn't fit them, we'll still be in time to return or exchange them. I feel a bit disorganised when it comes to outfits though!

I experienced my first properly uncomfortable wriggles from baby last night, think she must have been stretching a leg or something but it hurt like hell, a proper wallop to my side. I think seeing feet etc will freak me outa bit too Bunch!

33 weeks today and my gym tops are beginning to struggle a bit....Grin

Sorry for the double post - am having app issues!

BunchOfBobs · 12/07/2016 09:14

Lovely bump Pink!
*
Potato* at my NHS class there's a few women there on their own and two with their mum. Absolutely no one cares. In fact the men were mostly ignored. Only the women were asked to introduce themselves.
I went to a sling meet with my mum and no longer can wear my ring due to swelling/weight gain. I had the same thought of oh they'll thing I'm a single parent who needs her mum, then realised I don't care what people think. Everyone there is in the same position as you, pregnant. I would be surprised if you're the only one there alone. Enjoy it.

Danni89 · 12/07/2016 09:24

You look great pink!

Enjoy your class potato, and don't worry what others are thinking

AudreyBradshaw · 12/07/2016 09:53

I'm not buying 0-1/newborn stuff until baby arrives, see how big/small it is, then my dm will nip to tesco/next and get to tiny stuff if need be. I'm buying a lot of neutral and yellow but I got a couple of blue outfits yesterday thinking that if it's a girl it will look cute in baby blue but I can't put a boy in pink!

Had anyone seen 'sock ons' they're ace! Like tiny little foot things that stop baby losing/pulling off their socks!

That's what I thought 'potato' don't want to have to be doing a baby clothes wash once a day when I'm sure there will be more than enough washing and work to be getting on with! Everything baby grows out of will go to our local women and children's charity so I know it will all go to good use anyway! I know what you mean about not having your dp there, depending on what time the classes are dh might not be able to go either and it really miffed me initially!

elle I've got an anterior placenta and I can feel little pops and wriggles/rolls. Can definetly feel when baby puts a boot in at the side/down low or on my bladder thought! Just can't feel anything on the outside yet. I'm 21 weeks tomorrow. Only thing ive noticed is I've got a weird sharp pain next to my belly button which comes and goes. Assuming it's stretching or something! And my bump is rectangular, and really high, it comes from right under my boobs, rather than what I anticipated which would be a cute little pooch.

LisaTheSimpson · 12/07/2016 10:07

Elle, I want to know that too!

Do they need to wear a vest under the sleepsuit, or are the vests for daytime and sleepsuits for nighttime?
