May my sister lives in Burlington too Smile funny old world! I used to visit two or three times a year when my mum was better as she would spend 3 months a year with my sister but was too poorly to fly on her.

Pink the last couple of weeks at work were a nightmare for concentration.

Leonie I've done the same as Pink for nappies.

I'm half way though Potato's cross stitch. I just need to do the boarder now Smile

potato that's a pretty damn impressive cross stitch!

leonie we've gone for mamia nappies after my cousin told me she found them the best - gone for 1 pack of size 1 as others have!

pink I think I'm pissing in the wind asking for diamonds haha! Everyone keeps asking him when he's going to propose now we have a baby on the way and he's getting annoyed about it. I don't mind at all, but other people seem to think it should be imminent! Particularly the older generation.

mayago · 06/07/2016 16:53

Oh that's funny Potato! I usually visit a couple of times a year (Granddad lives on his own Shock) but I guess that will be ending now. That's a lovely cross stitch!

Leonie I've bought a few packs of sizes 1, 2 and 3. You can get a printable pampers voucher on their website, and there is cash back on either Quidco or Checkoutsmart for new baby sizes of Pampers. I was getting a small pack of nappies for 50p when they were on offer in Asda last month. They're all safely stored at OH's mum's house. I thought if I bought something baby related every time I went shopping it will lessen the cost when baby is here. Then I ran out of room and abandoned the plan

Last time I changed a nappy, I managed to put it on backwards Confused

shelbTa · 06/07/2016 16:54

Pink - yes re concentration!!! Big time! I'm amazed I'm still employed - especially in our line of work!

X

leoniethelioness · 06/07/2016 17:02

May I've never changed one... I'm going to practice on my niece or nephew next month though.

Shelb Pink Are you both in the City or are you in the regions? Is it too out-y for me to ask what your practice areas are? I mostly deal with commercial contracts.

PotatosMum · 06/07/2016 17:13

Miley keep at the diamond hints... And if the hints don't work try a big print out stuck to his computer monitor with a photo of a diamond and the words "I want one of these" that should be subtle enough Wink

On the same vein, my OH has told me that once we've got the move out of the way we can start planning the wedding... Well the actual words he used was "sort out the dreaded M word" but I find it's better if I just translate these things into what I want to hear Wink

May I've never changed a nappy in my life and won't until Potato is here... Poor thing will probably have a lot to put up with Confused

Could you try on a teddy, Potato? That's my back up plan.

BunchOfBobs · 06/07/2016 17:36

Potato it's beautiful!! Are you pleased with it? I've got back to my embroidery today, only 6 left to do Hmm
All batch cooking planned for this week is complete l. I just want to make a couple of big lasagne trays and I'm done Grin Photo attached.

I've changed 1.5 nappies recently (wimped out halfway when I saw it was a poo) and I've practiced my cloth nappies on teddies lots. DH has never changed a nappy but it a pro at the folding for cloth nappies. I think we should all post photos of our first happy changes, they may prove very entertaining Grin

My feet are killing me, the swelling officially hasn't gone down at all now for over a week. I used to have a visible ankle bone on the outside of my ankles when the inside was swollen. No more. Cankles galore!

Great stash, Bunch! Do you want to come cook for me? ;)

We had it the other way around, Miley. The moment we got married, people start asking when babies were due (this actually started AT our wedding.....).

I imagine most of the time asking something like that just provokes annoyance or someone deflecting, but I always wonder about people who have trouble conceiving, and how insensitive those questions might seem.

LisaTheSimpson · 06/07/2016 17:50

Thanks for asking about nappies, Leonie, it's something on my list to sort as well. No idea what I would have ended up buying without the kind advice here Confused

Canters15 · 06/07/2016 18:03

miley if you are ever going to get a diamond it really would be in your oh's interests to get it when hes in Dubai....so much more economical and surely he wants to save money now there's a baby on the way? So really he'd be losing money by not getting a diamond now! Grin i used this exact same logic to get a mulberry handbag out of dh when we were there Halo

Same here lisa! When we got back from honeymoon my MIL told me to get pregnant soon....i find stuff like this so gross, why yes of course dh and I are having loads of unprotected sex, thank you for enquiring!

Feefeefs · 06/07/2016 18:27

Well done may! I thought I was done good with 3lbs weight gain at week 16.

Poor you indi although it did give me a little chuckle sorry!

I'm all about the savoury food, last night after dinner DH asked if I wanted a treat and I wanted proper chipper chips!! He got them but thought I was weird!

I struggling with cooking which I normally love, pretty much the only thing that still makes me gag! I can do all the chopping etc but standing there while it cooks Sad

Don't feel too guilty about the yum yum pink those nature valley bars have almost as much sugar!

I still haven't bought anything for the baby! Is that weird? I've done lots of research but holding off till we move as don't want to have to move loads of extra stuff.

Can I ask bunch what are lactation cookies?

We're off on holidays tomorrow very excited over to Ireland for a wedding and then a road trip!!

Had a really bad customer service experience in the bank today, left then made DH come back in with me as couldn't let it go! Ended with the manager crediting our account over £100 and giving us 100euro for our holiday!!! Grin

AudreyBradshaw · 06/07/2016 18:40

Guess who completely balled up her log-in! It's Stark, under a new identity! Grin fancied a change so thought rather than trying to recover my account, I'd start afresh!

Mileymoocow · 06/07/2016 18:51

stark I feel weird tagging you as audrey! Welcome back tho! Hope you're doing ok

canters absolutely sterling logic there! May have to just use this excuse. Also, cheaper mulberry bags?! Where?!

bunch you make me look terribly unorganised, you're my inspiration!

lisa I've thought that, too. My SIL's brother and his wife have been married for 5 years and have struggled to conceive. I've over heard people asking when they're going to have a baby and my heart broke for them as I knew they had tried and had been told IVF was the only option. Happy news is they're due a little girl this month but I know others aren't so lucky.

3 triple choc cookies isn't unreasonable right? Right?

LisaTheSimpson · 06/07/2016 19:00

3 is very unreasonable, Miley. You should have 4....

Evergreen17 · 06/07/2016 19:38

Stark I can't do it!!! ConfusedConfusedConfused

BunchOfBobs · 06/07/2016 19:40

Eagle eye feefs Wink They're cookies with brewers yeast and flaxeed in to help boost milk supply. I've also written on the bags "milk makers". Grin I made up a batch of normal cookie dough and have labelled them "everybody cookies"Grin.

Wow, it always pays to complain eh?!

Oh dear Starky, or should I say Audrey.
How did that happen?

Miley I've had 3 the past two days running. Nothing wrong with it here. Wink

IndiX · 06/07/2016 19:47

Evening ladies,

Stark I agree with Miley, I feel weird tagging you as Audrey. Isn't your 20 week scan soon?

Feefs that's great about the ban giving you the £100 and €100! Definitely worth complainingWink

Potato that is a gorgeous cross stitch!

Miley 2 cookies for you and 1 for the baby. Reasonable I'd say.

I've been at my neighbours for a couple of hours. She's a bit of a weird one anyway and I know how to take her but she was saying really negative comments about the baby. Things like 'oh you'll soon be covered in sick and poo and piss' and 'oh god your belly has popped since last week' plus a few other things, maybe I'm being sensitive but I just found the comments unnecessary. She had tried for kids for 10 years herself and then adopted after IVF didn't work, but I still feel this bitterness from her and it's sad because she just sounds jealous. She can be fine most of the time but since I've got pregnant and can't drink with her she's acting differently

Canters15 · 06/07/2016 19:51

miley- the mulberry store in Dubai mall! My bayswater was about £150 cheaper then it would have been here, if I remember correctly...i reckon you should inform your oh of this fact!

Mileymoocow · 06/07/2016 20:13

canters I just got a new handbag for my birthday but god loves a trier!

bunch brilliant! Glad it's not just me. I ate the 3rd cookie and am now in immense discomfort but it was sooooo worth it.

indi she sounds like a dick. I get it must be heartbreaking not being able to conceive but there's no need to sap other people's happiness! I have a similar situation with a girl I work with who lost a baby at 26 weeks and have just completely distanced myself from her.

Feefeefs · 06/07/2016 20:25

Love it audreybradshaw!

I was looking for ideas bunch! Do a bit of batch cooking now but can get stuck in a bit of a rut with it! Might have to try those cookies too never thought of batch freezing them, can you cook them straight from frozen?

Glad I complained! I couldn't let it go like normal! Must be the pregnancy hormones paying off for once! I'm crap at confrontation and think I looked like I was gonna cry so must have frightened her!

Sorry about your friend indi that sounds rough!

I have eaten 2 cookies! Contemplating a third

PotatosMum · 06/07/2016 20:40

Bunch that's a hell of a lot of food. You are definitely the queen of organisation.

Yep, I'm really chuffed with the cross stitch. I'm hoping I should have it all finished bar the writing by the end of next week Smile

Leonie my OH is a pro at nappies so if I get stuck I think I'll just get him to show me what to do... Failing that YouTube is a wonderful thing Grin

Feef well done on getting compensation from the bank, I love a good complain Wink

... Eat the third cookie! trying to make everyone else fat so I feel thinner Grin

Stark calling you Audrey is going to take some getting used to!

Miley when you're pregnant nothing is unreasonable.

Indi that's sad about your friend and very unnecessary. Maybe for the sake of your friendship you should take a break from her for a bit?

Well, all my baby clothes are now washed dried and folded so that's another thing off my list Smile

IndiX · 06/07/2016 20:51

After all this cookie talk I'm dying for some now. Going to make do with strawberries and yoghurt not half as fun.

Yeah, i have distanced myself since getting pregnant tbh as she started acting weird from the start but now she is planning my baby shower with another friend, which is nice of her to do but I kind of feel it's to show how nice a person she is rather than for me. I may be being sensitive but I just think even though it must've been tough for her she now has adopted kids and seems happy so why say bitchy comments to me. Never mind, going to try let it go over my head.

Potato and Bunch you inspire me so much with your organisational skills. I swear I'll get my act together soon, you ladies make me feel so lazy Blush

Oh and I'm also in the 'never been near a nappy never mind a dirty one in my life' club

AudreyBradshaw · 06/07/2016 21:03

indi 20 week scan is tomorrow morning! I'm looking forward to this one much more than the 12 week one but still a touch apprehensive. Hopefully I'll actually get a look in this time and I'm definitely going to ask the sonographer to angle the screen so I can see. That women sounds horrific, you poor thing!

bunch I updated the home network to windows 10, and in doing so completely wiped everything that was stored but not saved, so all passwords etc! And I haven't got the mental energy to manually recover everything Grin still got photos etc so not the end of the world! Had an awful hour or so though when I thought I'd completely shafted myself electronically!

Several cookies miley it's only fair!

AudreyBradshaw · 06/07/2016 21:05

potaro gorgeous cross stitch! It's beautiful! It's like when you changed from being runner!
