Eek I'm so glad the app has started working again.

Indi I'm at the 3 stone mark and surprisingly okay with it. I blame last nights meal for at least 1 stone of it Grin

Potato you sound so productive! Great purchases too.

DH is on holiday this week so I'm having a lazy one with him. We had a duvet morning watching orange is the new black in bed- DH actually brought the tv upstairs especially Hmm
My new nappy bag I ordered I didn't like the original one has just arrived so I've just packed that, so now just waiting to wash the baby clothes, My nursing sleep bras and buy the snacks and all hospital bags are packed. I have 3. Potato have you managed to get it all into one?

Mileymoocow · 29/06/2016 13:46

indi I've put on a stone and a half so you're doing better than me! I think a stone is minimal for 25 weeks so you've done really well Smile ha! She's deluded, her daughter in law is perfect in her eyes. I went to school with her and she is absolutely not! She's self centred, arrogant and bloody rude! I'd rather be fat Wink

Anyone got any recommendations for hen party wear? I don't want anything too clingy or anything that is cut above the knee and I'm finding it impossible. A big, shapeless jumpsuit would be ideal Hmm

PotatosMum · 29/06/2016 13:56

Bunch I've managed to get everything in a small wheelie suitcase (the kind you use for carry on) and my changing bag. But I am hoping to be in and out of hospital as quickly as possible so I've kept it to essentials. We only live 10 minutes from the hospital so it's no problem if OH needs to pop home for additional stuff.

Indi 4D scan, how exciting Grin

Miley I'm no help on the clothes front I'm afraid. I'm quite impressed with myself when I bother to get dressed!

Midwife appointment went well, my blood pressure has improved again and all looks well with Potato. Midwife kept telling me how well I look Smile

I also just checked the mail and found a letter from my solicitor. We just need to sign a couple more documents and then we can negotiate exchange and completion GrinStar

Miley what about a dressy-ish maxi dress? I'm sure there will be loads in the sales now and you can just go up a couple of sizes instead of looking at maternity dresses. I find maternity stuff very limited and I just don't trust it to fit my shape.

Yeah 1 stone isn't too bad I guess, still a bit of a Confused moment when I stepped on the scales but I feel ok about it now.

Bunch I'm planning an evening of OITNB tonight, I love it!

Potato amazing news about the house! Very exciting for you and DH.

Danni89 · 29/06/2016 14:16

Wooo it's working!

Happy belated birthday stark!

And happy belated anniversary bunch- your meal sounds delish

Yay for scan mayo and indi your gonna love the 4D scan, it's amazing!

I hope your OH job is safe Leonie, fingers crossed for you.

Ladies there's a sale in Mothercare! Just bought a load of maternity pads and hospital bag essentials- eeeekkk getting oh so real!

IndiX · 29/06/2016 14:38

How many weeks were you danni when you had your 4D? I'm so excited, we had a sneak peak at our 20week scan but I can't wait to see her face filled out more now and looking really baby-like Grin

shelbTa · 29/06/2016 14:54

It's working, hurrah!

Miley - I got a tshirt type dress from DPerkins and wore it with a big necklace. It was tight enough that people would would know it's a baby in there!

Indi - I've put on 1st 12 at 31 weeks. I think I'll be tipping 3 stones by the end. I thought about trying on my pre preggo skinny jeans the other day but then though nah!!!!

X

shelbTa · 29/06/2016 14:54

Good news on mortgage potato!

Danni89 · 29/06/2016 15:04

I was 27+6 indi... Got a dvd of good pics, hope your Lil one cooperates too

Pinklily1 · 29/06/2016 15:45

Just testing this stupid app before I write a long post...

IndiX · 29/06/2016 17:19

Just been shopping for some maternity jeans/jeggings as I've now come to the conclusion NOTHING fits anymore. Had a small whinge and cry to DH about being fat etc. Found some really good black stretchy over bump jeans in h&m and bought a couple of pairs of normal black leggings in bigger sizes. Also found some blue jeans in h&m but they are far too small, may look on Asos for some blue ones.

Clothes shopping when pregnant is SO depressing

StarkyTheDirewolf · 29/06/2016 17:45

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! Had a lovely day looking at prams, then got home to get ready to go out for dinner and had the tantrum of all meltdowns because none of my new clothes fit, I felt fat and the cherry on top was I out my most favourite High heels on and goodness only knows what was happening, my centre of balance has changed or something but I was lightheaded and wobbly and couldn't walk in them. So I got undressed, sat in my knickers amd bawled my eyes out until dh suggested we just go to KFC as a treat instead. So we did! And even then I was a blubbering mess for ages. Hormones and fat pants do not a happy Starky make!

We're going out next week instead now Grin

PotatosMum · 29/06/2016 18:55

Indi I really recommend Next maternity jeans. Not too expensive and really comfortable Smile

Aww Stark sorry your birthday didn't go to plan. Pregnancy hormones can make you wobbly and it's always going to be upsetting when you realise your clothes are now too small and there's nothing you can do about it. I've put on two dress sizes and any other time I would be mortified. Just remember, it's not forever, it's just while you're growing a baby, which is worth it!

I'm slightly worried that I'm starting to lose track of the day already, need to keep an eye on that Confused

Finally able to get back on. The app meltdown was so annoying!

Leonie, OH hasn't found anything yet. There was a big downturn in his industry so its made it difficult. Its such a stressful time but you've just got to take one day at a time and see how things go. How many people are they looking to make redundant from your DH's work? I hope everything works out ok Flowers

Potato, glad to hear the midwife appointment went well. Is it looking less likely now that baby will come early?

Stark, so sorry to hear your birthday didn't go to plan, although hopefully the KFC perked you up a bit!! Did you find a pram you liked?

Bunch, that menu sounds amazing. Which restaurant did you go to?

Mayo, such a good scan picture. Glad all was well.

Shelb, my boss is really flexible so I could definitely work from home if needs be. It does irritate me having to stand on the train. I don't think i'm entitled to a seat as such, but yesterday all of the seats were taken but the rest of the train was not packed, so those sitting down could clearly see I was pregnant and no-one offered me a seat. I know I should just ask, but part of me gets so annoyed by them that I get stubborn and think I'd rather stand and give them dirty looks, in an attempt to make them feel bad Grin.

cosmo, glad you had a nice time. Did they say what the measurements should have been?

At my last midwife appointment she told me I was measuring bang on where I should be for the time, but she didn't give me a measurement. I've got my 32 week appointment next week so will ask then. At some point to they indicate an approximate weight for baby does anyone know, or is that only if you have extra scans?

shelbTa · 29/06/2016 19:33

Ah stark - it hit me like a ton of bricks tooFlowers actual mat clothes make you feel better though. New look have some really good stuff, and it's not too expensive either. I've bought the bare minimum to ride me through.

Has anyone had a cold since being preggo? Did you feel horrendous?

X

Feefeefs · 29/06/2016 19:51

Lovely scan may!

You sound organised potato!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 29/06/2016 20:04

potato me and dh are already planning my return to the gym! It's just been weird cause my body seems to have changed overnight. The last week I've gone from fairly flat tummy to BUMP (or it feels like it) my waist had disappeared too! Just got to get my head round it now!

shelb it was the kicker that my mum had just given me my birthday present of a hundredweight of new look maternity gear, it just didn't look how I wanted to look (read: I looked pregnant but was worried people would just thinking was fat)

pink I'm pretty set on the silver cross pioneer. It's a beautiful piece of kit and it was my favourite. I've got to go have a proper look at the icandy and the chameleon 3, but I'm fairly set on the silver cross.

Co5mo · 29/06/2016 20:32

Pink yes she did. She wanted it between 23.5 and 27cm and I was 21.5cm. Still waiting to hear from the antenatal clinic.

Shelb yes. My first cold landed me in hospital not able to breath and I'm trying to get over the second. I feel awful.

leoniethelioness · 29/06/2016 21:13

Shelb DH is an engineer.

Pink Over 100...

There are no jobs here for him (I don't think) if he loses his one. I'm not sure what that means yet. We are going to continue finishing decorating upstairs and will have the new carpet fitted so if we have to move, at least it looks nice. Will your DH be a stay at home dad for a bit? That's one option we're considering if DH can't find alternative employment. Maybe I could move to a different office if needed - I really like my job. 😢

Still trying to get my head around it. God knows how DH must be feeling. He's been working on updating his CV all evening.

IndiX · 29/06/2016 21:20

Stark I have those meltdowns quite often, today being one of them, it's so hard but yeah I agree with shelb..once I found those jeans that actually fit today it made me feel slightly better.

Pinklily1 · 29/06/2016 21:31

Leonie, OH could be a stay at home dad, but I'm not sure he has the patience to do it!

Fingers crossed for your OH. What kind of engineer is he? All they can do is polish the cv and apply for as many jobs as possible. There wasn't anything available in our area for the first month or so, but there seem to be a few options now.

BunchOfBobs · 29/06/2016 23:38

Pink restaurant is called The Checkers and is in Montgomery in Mid Wales.

Starky sorry to hear your birthday wasn't how you planned it, but you're getting to go out next week at least, I hope you enjoyed the KFC.

PotatosMum · 30/06/2016 07:07

Morning ladies, how are you all today?

Potato decided to have an all night fidget so I'm a bit worse for wear this morning. Glad I don't have to go to work Wink

Pink I'm not sure when/if they indicate the weight of the baby. I've had two growth scans and it hasn't been measured... Saying that based on how I feel I will be giving birth to a hippo Confused

Stark I'm sure you'll adjust to the new you shape, just keep reminding yourself it's only 9 months... I can't wait to get back to exercising and feeling in control of what I'm eating.
I pooffed out almost the moment I found out I was pregnant. I knew it was bloating but it literally never left so I feel like I've been heavily pregnant for ever!

Leonie that sounds really rough Sad I do hope your OH is one of the lucky ones.

Planeteer · 30/06/2016 07:11

Morning all. Quick question: should I be worried if Pancake is having a period of incredibly fast movement? I know reduced movement is something to watch for, but is the other end of the scale bad too? She's been constantly kicking and fluttering really fast for the last half hour, and something feels weird...

Mileymoocow · 30/06/2016 07:29

Morning ladies, how are we all this morning? OH has badly damaged his back from an old football injury so he's had to call in sick for the first time ever. He's gutted but I'm even more gutted because of the disturbed bloody sleep!

Ahhh starky and indi I'm also one for the weight related tantrums. I have a whinge, usually ends up in full blown sobbing then an hour later I convince myself I don't care. Repeat every few days or so. Sorry it ruined your birthday though stark. I second h&m being brilliant, that's where most of my stuff is from. I have the medium size normal basic leggings and wear them just about every day with a riots long/floaty/maternity tops. Think I spent £100 for just about a full summer maternity wardrobe.

Thanks for the suggestions re hen party. Think I'm going to go with a maxi dress I've seen. It's not maternity but if I get a size up it should be fine. I definitely feel the need to be 'showing' so people don't just think I'm colossal.

So, I can't poo again and I have stabbing pains in my bum. Brilliant. I also think I have thrush because of the overly scented fabric conditioner I've bought 😭
