Zylan sorry to hear about your miscarriage.

Banana if I was you I'd go to the early pregnancy unit to get scanned. To put your mind at rest, waiting until Thursday is going to be stressful. I wouldn't go into work either.

Vixxfacee · 25/06/2016 22:17

They can't do much to stop a miscarriage but they can see where the bleeding is coming from and if your cervix is open or closed. I've been twice first scans when spotting. They were really helpful.

Whatabanana · 25/06/2016 22:41

I don't think it is open on the weekend though so presumably I'd have to wait until Monday? Feeling pretty resigned now :(

Vixxfacee · 25/06/2016 22:50

Are you sure? My one is open 24/7.
Another suggestion is going to a&e but be prepared for a long wait.
I went to a&e with a friend for similar and we waited 3 hours there on a Sunday before getting referred to gynaecology.
I went to early pregnancy for myself on a Friday evening and was in and out within 1.5 hours.

Whatabanana · 25/06/2016 23:14

Thanks for your suggestions. I think I will try to sleep now and call hospital in the morning. Starting to feel a bit sore (and very sorry for myself).

MagpieCursedTea · 26/06/2016 00:11

Whatabanana I hope you manage to get some sleep and the bleeding is better in the morning. I had a suspected ectopic when I was pregnant with DS and went to A&E on a Sunday. It was a long wait but a gynaecologist checked me over within a few hours and I was kept in overnight as they couldn't scan me until the morning. So A&E could be an option for you.
The alternative is phoning a private scan place in the morning and seeing if they could fit you in.

Thanks for all your help. In the end I rang 111 when the bleeding got heavier and they sent me to a and e. While there I started passing big clots and then had evil contraction type pains. Doc confirmed miscarriage :(

MagpieCursedTea · 26/06/2016 14:27

So sorry again (saw your FB post too). Take care Flowers

NJ81 · 26/06/2016 20:12

I haven't been on here for ages but so sorry to pop in and read your update whatabanana. I mc in December and know how heart breaking it can be. Be kind to yourself, it really is one of the loneliest forms of grief but I found Mumsnet a real comfort xFlowers

Whatabanana · 26/06/2016 20:21

Thank you, people are so kind. I didn't realise how truly horrible it is until I experienced it myself, life can be very cruel alright.

Vixxfacee · 26/06/2016 21:40

Flowers to you both; sorry to hear that.

-------

I am 9+4 and due 26th Jan with my first. Booking in was done via telephone/email and scan is 21st July at 13 weeks exactly. Felt ridiculously tired until about week 7 and has eased off since luckily!

gingerlou84 · 27/06/2016 09:33

I'm so sorry to hear that whatabanana and zylan. Flowers

Vixxfacee · 27/06/2016 09:43

Amber we have the same due date! Also have my scan at 13 weeks exactly on the 21st. My booking in is in person on Monday.
Will this be your first scan?

hels18 · 27/06/2016 09:56

Oh I'm so sorry to hear the sad news ladies Flowers.

Thanks Bex, I'll definitely try a different type of vitamin. Since I've stopped taking the pregnacare I've not been feeling as nauseous in the mornings, although my actual sickness has shifted to the evenings, usually right in the middle of dinner which sucks!

Clomidworries · 27/06/2016 10:26

Hi
I had my 12 week scan yesterday. But they dated me at 11 weeks and baby measuring at 42mm. Said that they can't do the nutchal scan as the baby is small and said I have to come back in couple of days. I had a private scan few weeks back and according to that I have to be 11+3 yesterday. A bit worried as its gone 3 days behind. But the best thing is we saw the heartbeat and she said all is well just can't continue the scan as its only 11 weeks. Any ideas?? Is it ok to go 3 days behind in just 3 weeks?? Is it something baby is not growing properly?? Hmm

amberdixie · 27/06/2016 10:28

Vixxfacee oh really! How funny! Yes this will be my first scan. I booked my bloods online and they are this Wednesday. It all seems a bit pretend at the moment which is very strange! I would love to tell my Mum and Dad before the scan and that was always the plan (although Dad has pretty much guessed) but my sister passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly aged 18 a few months ago and I couldn't risk giving them more bad news if anything happened to this baby. So for the time being it is just mine and DH's secret Smile. Excited for 21st!

Duckyneedsaclean · 27/06/2016 13:57

Clomidworries I think a scan now would be more accurate, try not to worry!

I've just got back from my 12 week scan. It's TWINS.

TWINS. Like two babies!

Emmalucyday · 27/06/2016 14:56

I had twins in my last pregnancy...hard work but amazing. Congratulations Smile
