May I join you ladies? I have been putting off testing as was petrified of seeing a bfn! Plucked up courage this morning and it popped up pregnant right away! Over the moon but also scared. I had a chemical last month and am a golden oldie at 42! Praying all goes smoothly and we will welcome baby number 5 sometime around 2nd Feb.

Sleepylil - keeping everything crossed for you.

Kellz92 · 01/06/2016 15:00

Lalala & Happy Congratulations

Im 4 wks-4w3d and im getting sickness, cramps, gas (embarrassing) and upset tummy

I had a chemical last year so worried too!!

xx

Lalalala2015 · 01/06/2016 15:44

Hi ladies congratulations to you!
It's always a worrying time but I think even more so when you've experienced a loss.
I don't really have any symptoms at the moment, slightly sore nipples but nothing else of significance, or that I would definitely associate with pregnancy. That's quite scary to me. Even though I know it doesn't necessarily mean anything.
I have been having some cramps today though, almost feels like I've pulled a muscle!

SBSparkles · 01/06/2016 15:50

I'm not going to do my heart rate again as i just get scared easily! My nurse at the ivf clinic would be very cross with me right now as she strictly told me no more googling no more testing!! I was very good and walked past Boots today - resisting the urge to test with a digi. As Sleepylil says what will be will be.
Other symptoms today - feeling really really dizzy almost like I'm going to faint ( I have this a lot anyway but worse now) and I can't remember anything!! I can hardly join in a conversation without going errrrrm...what's it called.....Hmm

HappyMummy1234 · 01/06/2016 15:52

Congratulations to everyone.

No real symptoms for me yet either. Some cramps on and off and tired with a few waves of nausea. In past pregnancies the sickness tends to kick in hard at around 5 weeks for me, so bracing myself for that!

Kellz92 · 01/06/2016 15:52

Lalala i feel a bit like that with the cramps :(

SB thats great self control! My Dh is wanting me to test more than i actually am haha x

CinderellaFant · 01/06/2016 17:58

Just tried DH's Fitbit and my heart rate is around 78-80. Is that good?

Kellz92 · 01/06/2016 18:19

Mines is like that normally but my resting is only 64. That's a good rate I think.
Going to try not look at mine I think it's too low! X

Kellz92 · 01/06/2016 18:22

It's actually been higher than normal today! Phew. Had fitbit off last night as you can see lol.

Happy, baby number 5!?!? Shock where did you find the time to make one? Grin

Cinderella, I am struggling with hay fever, was constantly rubbing my eyes today. Last pregnancy I had the dreaded pregnancy rhinitis and had a runny nose for months!

Sleepy, Fx you've just got a slow rise in hcg. I was sooo anxious last time because I didn't get a 3+ until I was just shy of 7 weeks. It was ridiculous.

Lala, symptoms I'm having are just fatigue and waves of nausea now and then. It's not bad, but I'm only 5 weeks today. Oh, and my heart rate it high, obviously, but I wouldn't know that if I didn't have a Fitbit! Oh, and I'm gassy, too (snap, Kellz, pregnancy is so awesome Wink).

Sbs, take it easy, fainting sucks!! And do with you on baby brain, I'm feeling rather foggy.

wispaxmas · 01/06/2016 18:48

I know I said I was going to ignore it, but I've seen sat down most of the day and somehow spent nearly 6 hours in the fat burn zone Grin

CinderellaFant · 01/06/2016 19:01

Wispa, I'm 5 weeks today too! Grin hay fever is driving me insane, sneezing and have a ridiculously itchy throat and roof of my mouth! I don't think we can take anything either!

wispaxmas · 01/06/2016 19:05

We can, Cinderella, I have to take antihistamines or my asthma goes haywire. Last time around they told me I couldn't and I ended up in a&e where a doctor told me that any first gen antihistamine (like proper original Piriton, not piriteze) is completely fine. I then looked it up and found research backing it up on the motherisk website!

CinderellaFant · 01/06/2016 19:32

Ah wispa you've just made my week!! Grin

PhoebeGeebee · 01/06/2016 20:26

Is anyone else irrationally worried that too much sneezing might somehow dislodge the baby?? No?? Just me then...

PhoebeGeebee · 01/06/2016 20:27

But yes, my hay fever is also going bloody mental. Grrrr.

wispaxmas · 01/06/2016 20:39

LOL, Phoebe, no, too worried about pissing myself GrinGrinGrin

CinderellaFant · 01/06/2016 21:46

Haha phoebe! Wait til you get constipated and are scared of pushing the baby out! Wink

Kellz92 · 01/06/2016 23:33

Cinderella I was like that with DD lol. Xx

CinderellaFant · 02/06/2016 08:15

Me too kelz! Grin

Kellz92 · 02/06/2016 08:40

paperandpaint · 02/06/2016 08:57

Hi everybody, I've been a long time lurker on mumsnet but this is my first message!

I'm expecting baby no. 3 on 2nd Feb. I'm 42 (eek - looks so old written down!) and have two girls age 8 and 15. This is my first baby with my wonderful new parter and I'm so incredibly excited although apprehensive as it's early days.

We were due to start IVF next month and the BFP was a huge shock. I was two days late but because of all the previous BFN I wasn't going to even do a test, I only did as I was off out and was going to have a few glasses of wine so thought I should just check on the off chance. Needless to say, I didn't have the wine but I have been indulging in cake ever since!

HappyMummy1234 · 02/06/2016 09:05

Huge congrats paper! I am also 42! It does look old written doesn't it, but I'm still 23 in my head!! Fingers crossed for a happy and healthy 9 months X

wispaxmas · 02/06/2016 09:08

Many many congratulations, paper!! I know other mums in their 40s, not so out of the ordinary these days at all.
