Looks like I am the first one due 1st Feb but I tested very early as I felt weird and pregnant!

This is baby no 3 I have two DDs who are 2 and 3.

Honestly I probably wouldn't have bothered calling EPU myself if I hadn't had a combination of spotting AND pain... But then they told me any bleeding I should let someone know...

SpinALittleFaster · 11/06/2016 18:28

wispa glad to hear you've got your namesake back.

I'm exhausted! DD has been really ill and I've barely slept for about 4 days. She seems to be improving now so hopefully I can catch up on sleep and get back to normal first trimester levels of exhaustion.

SBSparkles · 11/06/2016 18:34

Scottishsnowflake I'm using that app too! It's good isn't it? I was so excited to get a new picture today - it's now the size of a grain of rice! So teeny!!
Spin I hope you get some rest soon! Poor thing!!

ScottishSnowflake · 11/06/2016 18:38

SBSparkles it's wonderful! Got to put my first appointment in there too - it's nice to have it all in one place. I like reading the different daily and weekly information too - makes me feel so more connected to my little one Smile

Lucy1308 · 11/06/2016 18:57

Awwww wispa!!!!! Hope she recovers quickly and the op was a success!!

I have the ovia app. I'm not sure how much use it is but it is actually quite nice to see how big baby is. Can't wait for Monday to see how big baby is by then!! I'm still exhausted despite a 2 hour sleep and my nipples still feel sore and bruised, but quite glad of some symptom or another!

EmmaT1983 · 11/06/2016 19:44

Hi ladies got my bfp yest so 3 wks 5 days today, im slightly worried tho as iv got a little bit of spotting and keep running to loo thinking af is about to start Confused x

GinandJazzHands · 11/06/2016 20:06

Hey evergreen I wouldn't worry too much, from what you have said you are definitely over 4 weeks and there is not much difference for you - luteal phase length is less relevant. They do initially date you by the start of your period, but weeks 0-2 of pregnancy are the days leading up to ovulation (so weirdly you're not actually preggo) with week 2 starting at ovulation/conception. They date you from the first day of your last period basing it on the 'average' 28 day cycle, with ovulation around day 14. There's only a couple of days difference in it for you so it really doesn't matter too much, and the dating scan will give you a more accurate idea further along anyway. Because I know my cycles are irregular and this time I ovulated two weeks later than the 14 day 'average' (ie on CD 28), I'm counting the start of my pregnancy from two weeks before OV, rather than the start of AF which in my case would be misleading as it would incorrectly put me as two weeks further along than I am. Does that make sense? The nhs website has a really good section on pregnancy week by week with some cute pics.

GinandJazzHands · 11/06/2016 20:10

Cute pic wispa that app sounds good, think I will treat myself to a download if i make it to 4 weeks - 3+4 today so crossing fingers as I know the odds of mc this early are pretty high.
Hi Emma congrats! You're a day ahead of me! Fx for you. Feel like I'm on the loo every five minutes today.

EmmaT1983 · 11/06/2016 20:23

Thanks hun u had any spotting at all? X

Evergreen17 · 11/06/2016 20:32

Thanks wispa. This whole thing is driving me crazy! The worry!!

I feel bloated (big tummy atm) and mild cramping, less intense that period pains (which are often mild for me) and different. Sometimes like a mini stabbing Hmmwith a small needle.
Almost like if my period was to come.

Maybe because of the paranoia I can feel everything. Anyone else? Any feeling down there?
Sparkles which app is that??? I have the Ovia pregnancy one.

Congrats emma. I am still running to the toilet every 5 minutes and I am only 4 weeks and some. I have had brown spotting for 4 days Confused when I wipe

Ahhh thanks gin! I understand now!

CinderellaFant · 11/06/2016 20:32

I've just downloaded the pregnancy+ app. Amazing how something so small as a grain of rice can make you so exhausted!

GinandJazzHands · 11/06/2016 20:55

Hi Emma no spotting for me yet but tons of people get it in early PG with nothing to worry about. evergreen think I'm paranoid too. Def feeling bloated and weird 'different' feelings in my tummy. Would describe it more as discomfort than pain, not as bad as the AF pain I sometimes get but the odd needle sensation too.

GinandJazzHands · 11/06/2016 20:56

You are totally right though as I am looking for every twinge! Hyper paranoid I think!

FriendlyGhost · 11/06/2016 20:58

I'm going to get that app too. I've also got a pregnancy day by day book. Last time I loved coming home from work and reading what my baby was up to each day. I need to somehow get it back from my sil now!
Have you told parents yet? I told my mum at 5 weeks with my dd but I think she worried more than me so I want to leave it later this time. I'm staying with my parents for a week in 3 weeks time so I'll probably have to tell them because of the inevitable sickness. Unfortunately DH is insisting that if I tell mine then it's only fair we tell his. I really don't want to tell them before 12 weeks.

Evergreen17 · 11/06/2016 21:02

Gin yes it is not pain but something that I worry will feel like pain but it is not. Or maybe super mild? Like pinching as well
Good lord these next 8 weeks will be unbearable Confused

Evergreen17 · 11/06/2016 21:05

Friendly I will tell my mum mid August as she lives in Spain and I will see her then. I should be over 13 weeks then if everything goes well so it should be safe by that time

GinandJazzHands · 11/06/2016 21:47

Yep evergreen sounds the same, hoping this is a good sign! I'm seeing my mum next weekend, when hopefully I'll be 4 + 4. Seems early and I don't want her to worry but I also want her to know first and face to face so kind of has to be then. Plus she will try and get me on the wine for sure! We live away from DH's folks too and won't be seeing them until August so that's more straightforward.

CinderellaFant · 11/06/2016 21:52

I told my mum last week, when I was 5 weeks. Then we told MIL a few days later. I had a miscarriage at the end of April which she knew about then fell pregnant straight after so had no period in between. MIL said that's not possible, when I assured her it was she said that she 'can't believe we managed to find time to conceive at such a dark time.' In other words we shouldn't have had sex, should have sat crying every day. But hey, that's a whole other thread Wink

SBSparkles · 11/06/2016 21:52

The first couple of weeks I felt exactly like my period was coming to the point that I was lying in bed and I felt a trickle of blood. I ran to the toilet and there was nothing there - it was in my head. I would have bet good money that I wasn't pregnant and was about to start! That's just for the people who said they felt like AF was going to show! I still check every single time I wipe and worry I'll see something! Hopefully this constant worry eases a bit in time!!

SBSparkles · 11/06/2016 21:54

Evergreen it's called pregnancy +

EmmaT1983 · 11/06/2016 22:21

Thanks for the warm welcome ladies, af was due tomorrow but got bfp yest, so once tomorrow and this week is over i will relax, i had spotting on thurs after dtd, spotting yest afternoon, and slight spotting today so at least its easing. Just cant help but worry that my test is wrong and af is on her way Confused x

Evergreen17 · 11/06/2016 22:48

Cinderella your MIL does sound like the one in the fairy tale Confused
Thanks sparkles

I also dont have any nausea or any symptoms apart from boobs but they are often sore anyway.

So I worry and worry and worry

I need to forget about this for a couple of weeks I think Smile

GinandJazzHands · 11/06/2016 23:06

Wow cinderella I'm so sorry you had such a shitty response from your MIL! Emma I agree I feel like Tuesday (when AF was due) will be a mini milestone, then hopefully five weeks, and so on. And eventually if I'm lucky enough to have a healthy baby then worrying about them will continue each day Grin

FriendlyGhost · 11/06/2016 23:33

Sparkles I've been convinced I've felt blood too but nothing and fingers crossed it stays that way. Last time I was on constant knicker watch for any sort of spotting the whole way through. Seeing my pink fingers through toilet paper almost freaked me out a few times. Then there's more to worry about once they're born. I'm worried this evening because dd went to sleep with her head amongst her toys. Rationally I know she's old enough to move away if they're too close to her face but I still worry!

Masweetpea1 · 12/06/2016 06:59

Hi all, now the birthday parties are over i can relax.

My FIL said to me yesterday 'are you getting fat', whilst patting my stomach...... I said no, as i have lost weight. (im 5 weeks now) Then later on when he'd had a few drinks and i was lying on the sofa he came and patted my stomach again. He didn't say anything but I'm really upset about it. I told him he had crossed a boundary...... 1. Commenting on my weight and 2. Patting my stomach. I don't think he realised he had upset me , but I'm really tearful about it. Sad

Also does anyone else have a sore throat, like a really bad one. I've tried honey and lemon but it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions? Xx
